- Joaquim123456780 contributionsNice tourThe Bled Lake with Island and Castle day trip from Ljubljana was absolutely amazing! The small group setting made the experience personal and enjoyable. The boat ride to the island was picturesque, and exploring the charming church was a highlight. The Bled Castle offered stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Our guide was friendly and informative, making the entire trip smooth and memorable. Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Slovenia – it’s a must-see! 5 stars!Written 2 December 2024
- Andrew F0 contributionsA great sampler of the key locations in SloveniaI visited in the last week of October and the weather was wonderful. Our trip consisted of just 4 visitors as it was off peak season and our guide was a wonderful young lady by the name of Taisha (Tai). She was very prompt at the pickup location in a clearly marked tour van. At every location she explained the activity and provided clear timing and meeting locations, altogether a seamless adventure. It was perfect and I would recommend for people who want to see 3.key places in one day. Please note that these places are not always near one another so to allow for all three locations you cannot expect a lot of free time. Think of this as a sampler of the main attractions and if you want to fully explore a single location, you may have to consider going to only one location in the future for a full day. The tour does its best to allow for enough time to see these places if you are quick! The guide is working the entire day after all with the drive.Written 1 November 2024

- iowacityia0 contributionsTuesday, September 17th day trip.My wife and I joined this small group day trip, that started at 8:30am. Meeting point was by the fountain in front of the Eurostars hotel in Ljubljana. Only 2 blocks from our accommodations. I believe we had 7 in our group. Primus, our tour guide and driver, picked us up from there on time, transport in a comfortable van. Primus was wonderful. A great driver, good in conversation, and very knowledgeable. A joy to visit with. And he actually gave us our own private guided tour through Postojna castle. He did a great job. The castle being the first stop, we then went on to the Postojna Cave. There he got us all situated in the correct tour line, gave us information, and off we went. The train ride back and forth in the cave was fun, and the walking tour in the cave was very cool we were in the cave system for quite a while. We then met Primus outside, and he brought us back to our pickup point. Both the castle and cave were well worth the time and money. Primus made the trip even better.Written 3 October 2024

- sanjiv1010 contributionsAn excellent reliable tour company with kind tour guidesWe went for half day trip to Lake Bled and the Bled castle with Faris. I had an injured knee with slight mobility issue. Faris went above and beyond in ensuring that I did not have problems getting on and off the van by placing a small foldaway stool at each stop for me to step on. We believe Roundabout travel looks after its clients well in addition to providing value for money for the tours.Written 18 September 2024

Superb day visiting amazing sites.
The lake was beautiful and the castle overlooking the castle is nice. We had the best guide, Klemen, who was very professional, always ready to make our visits as comfortable as possible. He was full of insight and stories and gave great background for each site we visited. Most importantly, he was very friendly and informative. He went inside with us in the second castle and that made a huge difference.
The visit to the caves is awe inspiring. I have traveled a lot and this experience is one of the most unique in the world. The way the caves are, the stalactites and stalagmites that take millions of years to develop is a site to remember for the rest if your life. Very professional guide inside and they have a train and paths very well designed.
At the end of our trip, I had a traditional dinner at 19hs and we had a lot of traffic congestion coming back. Klemen made every effort to get me to my destination on time.
I wish more guides were as professional, knowledgeable and friendly as Klemen. We had a really nice small group that liked talking which made the day go by very nicely. I also helped providing some silly jokes which I think Klemen liked and plans to use at least one about inflation.

It was an extremely nice trip. Urban is a great Guide, that knows and tells a lot about Slovenia in general and the sights in particular and he also really takes care about the visitors. I can highly recommend the tour if you want to get to know the most interesting places in a short periode of time.

The trip was well-organised and allowed for different, individual preferences. The group consisted of 8 people. We travelled by a comfortable mini-bus which took us to Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle in the morning and Lake Bled and Bled Castle in the afternoon. The time spent on travelling and sightseeing was well balanced. Our guide Primož was very friendly and took good care of us. Having spoken good English, he provided us with all sorts of interesting information on the places we visited as well as Slovenia in general. Also, he recommended us places to explore individually during the trip. A day well spent!

Fantastic guide: he was wonderful. My problem is with the company booking this tour for people doing a half day tour AND those doing a full day. We had an hour drive to take them back to Ljubljana after the Caves, pick up new people, and drive 45 mins to Bled. I spent close to four hours of this tour just driving. I would have booked two separate half day tours had I known this was the day’s itinerary. Plenty of free time to wander and do your own thing. It seemed to be arranged for the company’s convenience, and not for ensuring a good client experience. And, again, the guide was wonderful.

We booked this tour and Exploring Slovenia ended up being the company who took us on tour. Unfortunately the weather was a stormy rainy day that hindered certain aspects of the tour but our tour guide, Ingrid, did an amazing job ensuring we enjoyed the day. The caves and castle were outstanding and we made it to Lake Bled but the conditions hindered us getting to the island. Irrespective it was a great day

Jon was a very interesting guide and very knowledgeable regarding the areas we visited, Slovenian history and politics.
Although the trip was very good we were disappointed to find that although we were booked on a full day trip it was split into two half days which meant instead of going straight to Postojna from Bled, we had to return to Ljubljana to do several hotel pick ups.
We also felt the visits to Bled church and castle, spending approximately 45/50 minutes on each and Predjama castle were rushed. The Pletna boat trip took 15 minutes each way so we didn’t have long to walk up the steps and visit the church and tower. We did spend more time having something to eat and drink and a walk along the lake front before heading off to Ljubljana again.

This might be the most magical place I've ever been to. Blow away by the beauty of everything I've seen and one of the most beautiful country's I've seen. I love this tour between the 2 castles, caves, train, boat and island, I got to see and do so much in a day. I didn't spend much time in Slovenia which is the only thing I didn't like. My guide is excellent as he knew so much about every region of Slovenia, sports, history, geography, bled cake, local alcohol and he gave me a lend of his Luka Doncic sweatshirt so I wouldn't be cold in the beautiful caves. I really miss being there and the tour is one of the best trips I've ever taken.

Wow, where do we start. Our guide for this memorable day was Klemen, very kind and knowledgeable, giving us a incite of local history when traveling to our destinations. Bled Castle was our 1st stop and wow, probably one of the most picturesque places we have been too. Then to Bled Lake, another great Experience. Onto Postojna Castle then Postojna caves which were again excellent yours. Klemen was by far one of the best guides we have had on our travels. Make sure you have something warm to wear in the caves, it's pretty cold done there.

What a wonderful ten hours we had with Klemen, our friendly and knowledgeable guide and driver. We - an Aussie couple shared the bust with two older American guys from opposite ends of the US. Before long we were sharing our positive responses to the stunning scenery and fascinating history that was made available to us during the day. We could never have managed to get to all these places in a day and so we’ll informed had we tried to go it alone. Full marks.

I had a great time visiting all three sights in Slovenia. The caves are immense and Lake Bled and its surrounds are unbelievably beautiful. Jan was an excellent guide, answering questions and telling us plenty about Slovenia. Thank you.

Hi, are you able to pay the entrance fees on the day of the trip at the individual attractions? Not sure if I can do the stairs at the church. Are there handrails on the stairs at the church?
Written 23 January 2023
Hi:
I imagine you can. I got a tour in tripadvisor that included all entrance fees.
I don't know about the handrails
Written 3 April 2023
Hi, the inclusions and exclusions both mention admission fees to Postojna Cave and Castle- so is it included or excluded in the price? If it is excluded, do we purchase it separately or would you be able to purchase them for us? Thanks
