      Amazing tour guide
Matt Tomaszczyk was an amazing tour guide and very knowledgeable! He had physical visuals to relate to the siting he showed us which made it easier to understand and to comprehend. He was very detailed and took his time explaining and answering questions. He helped my friend out in a time of illness during the tour which was unbelievably astonishing and spoke great volumes of his character. Just an overall great tour guide!!!! 10 out 10 recommend!!

      Brilliant authentic experience
My husband & I spent a wonderful morning with Kasia. Loved the start where we shopped for ingredients in a market, even having a try at asking for the items in Polish - with a lot of help! We then went to Kasia’s home where we were made to feel so welcome. Loved the whole process of making pierogi’s and then sitting down to eat them. We had a first course of local cheeses, then pierogi’s and finally a dessert of cake and dried fruit. We shared our memorable experience with another lady and her daughter. Would definitely recommend this experience.

History, great food, and lots of steps! Highly recommend.
Wonderful day with Tomasz, who shared history, insight, and his pride in Krakow. We visited the castle, phenomenal church, and listened to the noon trumpeter. Loved the pierogis, goulash, beet soup and latkes. Best of all was learning about the rich history of the first capital of Poland, including stories of the first female king, and the experience of WW2, liberation, and then true freedom post-soviet occupation. Highly recommended.

      Krakow Food Tour
We had a very enjoyable food tour with Alicja Daniec. She took us to four different restaurants in Krakow where we had an amazing assortment of traditional foods from the region. Alicja was a pleasure to visit with and her command of the English language was outstanding. We would recommend this tour to anyone interested in experiencing the different culinary dishes of the Polish region.

Don't miss this amazing opportunity to taste, eat, and learn!!!
We had the most amazing day cooking with our new friend, Tomasz! Everything from the booking, the planning, and the communication leading up to the day was clear, friendly, and easy to follow. We met Tomasz near the market (we always love visiting local markets everywhere we travel, as we think that helps us better understand the culture) and this one was really special. We likely never would have found the market without Tomasz guidance and expertise. But, before we walked over to the market, we learned enough Polish from Tomasz so that we could actually request the necessary ingredients from the vendors ourselves! That was such a great touch and really helped us feel like we were part of the experience, rather than just observers! It was clear that Tomasz has a real passion for Polish food and culture, and he was careful to explain everything we saw - you can tell he is a regular - he was greeted enthusiastically by everyone we met! After we had procured the ingredients, we hopped into his car and he drove us to his home, explaining the neighborhoods and landmarks we saw along the way. After arriving in his lovely home, he made us feel so welcome and comfortable and we got right to work learning how to make pierogies. He had some local snacks and beers for us along the way, all locally sourced and each different from the other. Best of all, we learned how to make pierogies and how important they are to Polish culture. And they were delicious! Our time with Tomasz was paced perfectly. We never felt rushed, and we never felt like anything was dragging on. At the end of the class, Tomasz drove us back to our hotel - stuffed like ticks but so delighted to have learned so much not just about pierogies, but about the beautiful city of Krakow, its history, and its culture. We had visited Auschwitz the day before, and this was a wonderful way to decompress and lift our spirits. Knowing that we had done this the day before, Tomasz also offered several suggestions of movies to watch (which we'd have never learned about otherwise) and books to read for more perspective on Polish culture. We also learned (and tasted) some unique vodka - and he told us about a couple of delightful hidden gems of wine/cocktail bars in Krakow that we'd have never ever found without him. (BUT I won't share them with you, you'll have to ask him!) This was an absolutely fabulous use of our time in Krakow and our impression of the city and the Polish people was made even better than it already was because of our time spent with him. Go! Enjoy Krakow! Make pierogies! Thank you, Tomasz, for a fabulous day!

      Fun time making pierogies
Alicja was amazing, very fun and informative. The pierogies were some of the best we had eaten in Poland. Even though the market was closed since it was Christmas Day, we still enjoyed the class.

      Wonderful culinary and cultural experience
We had an amazing time with our guide Alicja! She took us to a local farmer's market which was a very interesting experience. She then took us to her home and we made delicious dumplings with traditional Polish snacks. Some of our group are learning Polish so enjoyed the opportunity to practice the language. Alicja was very thoughtful, charming and an excellent host, we would definitely recommend you join her for a tour!

      Fabulous fun food tour!
Our guide took us to fascinating venues for fabulous food! We laughed, talked and ate our way through a ton of stories about the architecture and history of restaurants all along the way. Our guide answered all our questions about the food and drinks we were unfamiliar with and the tour exceeded my expectations.

Mateusz was my guide and he was the best. He has an impressive amount of knowledge on Krakow. He was always able and willing to give honest answers to tough questions, because I had many. He was flexible and friendly and I would recommend a tour with him and this company any time. I got to see places I would never find on my own and learned a lot about this city, just the best.

Experience Culture by Walking and Eating with a Local Guide
Amazing! What better way to know a country's culture than to personally experience parts of it, right? In this case, there's nothing like walking and talking with a local guide who takes you to various "secret" hangouts and sample their food (and drinks): PIEROGI's: with meat, potatoes & white cheese, cabbage & mushrooms, spinach & feta cheese starters: OBWARZANEK - bread from Kraków OSCYPEK - cheese from sheep milk from area of PODHALE main dishes: SOUPS: BARSZCZ (from fermented beetroot), ŻUREK (sour rye soup) and POMIDOROWA (tomato soup) SECOND DISH: BIGOS (sour cabbage with meat), KIEŁBASA (grilled meat), PLACKI ZIEMNIACZANE (potato pancakes with goulash and sour cream) GOŁĄBKI (cabbage rolls) So well worth it. Writing this makes my mouth water. Get off the bus and try it! (Plug for Kasia, our patient guide)

      Satisfying Culinary Tour with Kasia
Our lovely guide Kasia took us on a culinary tour of delicious traditional local foods and drinks in unique venues. She was knowledgeable not only about the food, but also shared interesting information about Krakow's traditions, culture and entertainment scene. The food choices were excellent and we were more than satisfied with the value. We highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in a wonderful introduction to Polish cuisine and culture.

We had an awesome experience with the Breakfast tour of Krakow. Our tour guide, Joanna, was knowledgeable and personable. She shared interesting information and seemed to customize our tour, on the fly, to address items we were personally interested in. Our family members have booked several different tours of Krakow through Urban Tours and will continue to recommend this company to friends and family. Thank you Joanna for a highlight of our stay!

This is a must do experience in Krakow. We saw the main city highlights and we felt like we had them just for ourselves. Priceless! We loved our guide Tomasz as well. He was vivacious, very knowledgeable and very entertaining! We felt more like exploring the beautiful city of Krakow with our friends! And the breakfast at the local cafo was delicious. We will definitely return before we leave. Do not hesitate and book this tour! You will not regret it! Completely worth the money!

Sept. 15, 2024 - I arrived for the small group tour only to discover that I was the only participant, so this turned into a private tour. The guide was excellent - personable and knowledgeable. And the breakfast was delicious too.
