- 810debbieb0 contributionsFabulous and funWe booked a 2 hour private tour with Jacob. This is a fabulous way to see the City, and to look at different locations to visit. Buggy was heated , and covered to keep wind /cold out with extra blankets if required. Jacob was informative and friendly. This is a must do trip.Written 9 February 2025
- gmunday20 contributionsGreat service, great guide & would 100% recommend, thank you! What a great way to see some of the sites in Krakow! We were picked up on time, it was freezing cold but the buggy had a great heater, so we were very cozy inside! Our tour guide was brilliant and showed us all the main sites & areas, then dropped us off in the main square after. Really enjoyed this and if you have a couple of hours to see the Krakow, would 100% recommendWritten 9 February 2025

- Hjlundbeck0 contributionsGreat way to see and learn about the cityWe had a great time. Our guide was lovely and gave a thorough overview of the city. We did it on day one and it was nice to get an idea of what the city was like and find out more so early on. The buggy was warm which was a nice surprise. I liked how the company messaged the day before with the reg plate and even some restaurant recommendations which we went to before we even had the buggy tour and I thought this was a particularly nice touch. Would recommend this tour/company.Written 21 January 2025

- kevshek0 contributionsGreat tour wihtout all the walking. RecommendedOur tour was great! My wife and i booked the full 2 hour tour as she is unable to walk very well. Our driver Bogdan met us at the main square and we were soon into our private buggy, as no one else was booked on our tour. Hes a young man and spoke good english, was very informative and knowledgeable and had a sense of humour. The buggy was warm enough, with drop down sides which sheltered you well and gave a clear view or your surroundings. It was by far the best way to have a good look around the city in comfort, learn some history and also see things youd normally miss not knowing your surrounding. It also gives you ideas on where you may want to head back too. Well worth it.Written 31 December 2024

- MotoBaker0 contributionsGreat tour with a great guide!I cannot say enough great things about this tour! When I realized the day before our tour that I had booked the wrong day, they were extremely friendly and flexible on rescheduling. On the day of our tour, our guide Bogdan, met us at our hotel, gave us a great tour around the city (we learned so much!), and dropped us off at a different location that we requested. This is a great tour to get an overview of Krakow and learn some history.Written 23 December 2024

The guides are extremely knowledgable and make trip fascinating with their historical knowlegde. Our driver and guide Bogdan (Dan) was first class.Written 9 December 2024
- Andrea B0 contributionsGolf buggy tourDriver arrived at given time. He was very informative and polite. It was a cold day but the buggy was lovely and warm. As there was on only 2 of us on the tour he tailed it to our requests ie we were going Schindlers factory later that afternoon so ended at that stop on the tour. We would recommend as gives you ideas of where you may want to spend more time. Only downside was we only made 1 jump off stop for 10 minutes.Written 2 December 2024

Wow 🤩
Honestly not sure I can do this place justice - the scale of the mines are massive, and they’ve managed to make some truly beautiful spaces within them - including a (still functioning chapel!)
Make sure to wear comfortable shoes - there are a LOT of stairs, and quite a lot of walking involved. In our experience we’d recommend layers of clothing, as it was pretty hot down there, but cold on the surface.
Pieter our guide was well versed in the history of the mines, and seemed very proud to work for the company.
Our driver Jerry was really what pulled the whole thing together. He collected us from our apartments, added extra information, and even went out of his way on the return trip to show us Schindler’s Factory, as well as other places of historical note, before dropping us back at our apartments (he offered to drop us wherever suited)
Highly recommend this tour!

A really interesting, well organised tour. We were picked up from old town Krakow and the travel time to the salt mines wad only 20 mins.
When you arrive, you are divided into groups of about 30 people based on your chosen language. Each group has a mine guide which you must follow. You can't walk around by yourself.
We started the tour with a walk down 380 wooden steps to level 1 of the mine. These steps are very well lit and just like normal sets of stairs. However, if you have mobility difficulties, then this might not be the best place to visit.
Once down at level 1, you proceed steadily through the mine tunnels, reaching the various different chambers. Again, the tunnels are well lit and have good level paths, so it is easy to walk along.
The various chambers, chapels, and carvings are amazing. The mines air not damp or slippery, and we were told the all year round temperature in mine is around 14 - 17 degrees Celsius, so a comfortable experience.
The tour takes 2 to 3 hours, and at the end, there is a restaurant down in the mine and other chambers you can see on your own. When you are ready to exit, you are taken in groups to the lifts that take you back to the surface. They do pack you into the lifts (we had 18 people in ours), but the lift ride is only about 20 to seconds in duration. This is the only way to exit the mines (that I was made aware of)
During the tour you will have a break of about 10 mins, which gives you the option for a toilet break and drink from the cafe / gift shop down the mine and again at the end of the tour. We very much enjoyed our tour and would recommend it to anyone interested.

Jerry our driver was absolutely amazing he had so much knowledge to pass onto us and made sure we got the best experience we possibly could!! He took us to the main square in the Ghetto and showed us the chairs symbolising the men, women and children that lost their lives there. The pharmacist that forged papers and gave the Jewish people food and medicine. He took us to the factory that made uniforms and showed us the building opposite where the Nazis use to just lean out and shoot the Jewish people randomly in the Ghetto opposite. This man went up above and beyond for us and it is very much appreciated. Our tour guide in the Salt mine was well knowledgable and definitely worth the trip even though the amount of stairs you have to walk down but you do get a lift back up!!! Guide in Schindlers factory again very knowledgable but your on the clock so to speak and are rushed through and don’t get to read or see everything so would recommend going there under your own steam so you can get to see everything.
Jerry thank you for everything you were amazing!!! We will be back to Krakow and hope to see you again 💙 🇵🇱

Our driver Peter was brilliant he collected us from our air BnB and he was courteous, funny and extremely knowledgeable about Krakow, he stopped to show us multiple interesting sites in the Jewish ghetto on the way to and from the tour, we were the last to be dropped off and he asked how we were for time which wasn't a problem so he drove us around the old town pointing out lots of interesting history, he really made our day.
The tour was also very good, our guide Natalia was also funny and knowledgeable. There is a 300+ staircase downward walk at the start of the tour which was fine for us just may be worth noting if you have mobility issues also the lift back up is a miners lift and you get packed in, it doesn't take very long and the guide does warn you before you go in that it's cramped. We were really glad we did this tour, we had done Auschwitz the day before so it was a really good headspace break to see the beautiful sculptures and other worldly views.

We were picked up by Marcin who was amazing and gave us a mini tour of Kracow too. He was knowledgeable and a nice guy. We can recommend him.
The mines were beautiful but there was a lot of walking far more than we had expected. The English speaking guide was good but of course she had to move at a certain pace as so many people in groups were behind ours. Thus you did not have a spare moment to admire the place.
It's worth a visit but remember your walking shoes.

This is an excellent tour, indeed one of the highlights of our visit to Krakow.
The tour organisation was flawless. We were collected from our hotel in the minibus and after collecting the remainder of the group, drove the 20 minute trip to the mine during which our driver gave us more historical background.
The mine itself has excellent facilities throughout which are kept in pristine condition. After entry to the mine, which is in groups of controlled sizes for safety, we descended the steps to the start of the main mining area some 160 metres below - some 55 short flights of stairs which were not a challenge to me, even though I am in my 70's.
Within the mine there are many stunning scenes set out depicting life in the mines, but the highlight of the show is, without a doubt, the huge underground chapel. Absolutely breath-taking!
The whole tour takes around a couple of hours within the mine complex. At the end, groups are carried to the surface by one of two lifts - a modern lift and one of the miners lifts. This is a fun, albeit 'cosy' experience in itself.
Not to be missed!

The company organising the tour were great. Brilliant communication on pick up times and a list of recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The driver who picked us up was wonderful. He gave us lots of information on the drive to the mines, recommendations of places to eat and was really accommodating in dropping people back where they wished to go. Little things like this make great service.
The tour itself - using the salt mines’ own guides so no fault of the tour operator I booked with - was a let down and felt very rushed. We were a large group and the guide would walk to his appointed stopping place and immediately start talking. Those from the middle of the group to the back missed the first part of what he was saying as we were still walking to his spot. We would then be rushed on again. We had a group behind us that kept catching up, also being rushed through. It was disappointing as I didn’t get all the information I’d wanted unless I pushed to the front.

The driver Victor I think he was called collected us early from our hotel and was very respectful, friendly and punctual. The group to the salt mines was a small group of 6 and the tour took around 45 minutes drive from Krakow and the tour was around 1 hour 30 minutes. It was a different guide when we reached the mines. Very interesting and couldn’t believe how long it’s been there since the 1600’s. There are around 800 steps in total, but not difficult for anyone that has no mobility problems. To get down to the first level there are around 300 steps. There are toilets and the chance to purchase refreshments towards the end. You can take photographs. I wouldn’t recommend wearing very warm clothes in winter as it’s between 15-17 degrees, although on occasions there are drafts. Don’t worry you won’t be walking up the steps on exit as there is a lift fitting 8 people in. If you struggle with claustrophobia it’s not recommended. Very well organised, I’d recommend this trip.

Pick up as scheduled, we are accompanied by the driver to the entrance of the mines, we line up according to nationality so as to divide into smaller groups entrusted to an Italian-speaking Guide. As I recall, we went down about 54 flights of stairs. Once we got down it was a succession of corridors, rooms, ponds, stairs, and much more. Entered at about 13:15 and exited at about 15:45 .. After the visit the Guide instructs us on the exit (via elevator) so as to exit not far from the entrance. Useful information: there is a bathroom at the entrance, one inside towards the end of the tour during the scheduled stop at 3/4 of the tour, and a third bathroom at the exit about. During the stop and especially at the exit there are shops, snack bars, and restaurant (at the exit only). The temperature is constant, I would say just a denim jacket and a T-shirt. I went in August but I suppose underground the temperature remains constant. I suggest comfortable shoes.

Are there food/drink and toilet facilities available during the tour?
Written 3 November 2024
Yes, you get a 10 min break roughly in the middle of the tour. This break is at the cafe / gift shop that has some seating. Then again, at the end of the tour, there is a full restaurant and toilet facilities down the mine.

I have mobility issues so couldn't climb down all the stairs. Is there an accessible lift down to mines as well as up?
Written 6 May 2024
Hello, there was a tour group next to us who were directed to a shaft entrance for wheelchair access so i am assuming there are lifts and a route that cater for mobility issues
Written 7 May 2024
I’ve booked this trip as I’m in a wheelchair. The transfer needs to be in an accessible bus so that I don’t have to come out of my wheelchair. I’ve been advised this is the case
Written 26 September 2023
Our trip was in a regular minibus so as the previous answer I would suggest you double check with your tour guide. There's a suitable lift to take you down to a viewing level at the mine. Hope you enjoy the visit.

Hi I am interested in booking the Salt Mine + Auschwitz-Birkenau tour over two days. If I purchase this it is asking me to choose a pick up time so will it depend on what pick up time I choose as to which place we visit on day 1 and day 2? Also we have booked an apartment in Krakow (Krótka 1, Kraków) so would you pick up from there or would I need to go to a designated pick up point and if so where would this be so I can see how far away from our accommodation it would be.
Written 20 September 2023
We chose the early pick up times. You can choose pick up at your hotel destination but I think this option is more expensive. If you choose the options close to your hotel you can check on Google maps how close it is. We did this and it was fine. We did both trips over 2 days which I think is best. Tour staff are excellent and each day were on time

Hi there. We are interested in booking with your company, but we are charged half price for our 2 year old child. Is this correct, as we have never paid in any museum in many other countries (Greece, UK, Portugal, Iceland) for children admission? Thanks and have a good day.
Written 4 January 2023
Hi, some websites don't seem to charge for 0-6 years, but child might need to sit on parents lap in transport. Not sure the mine is suitable for 2 year old as the start of the descent is 380 steps down a stair case and there are long tunnels to walk through. You might have to carry them.
