About
We are Valery, Vaclav, and Nico- a group of LICENSED guides trained by the city of Prague! That means we have been through months of lectures delivered by top notch history and art specialists and went through certification exams approved by the Ministry of Education. We specialize in small groups and keep things interactive, showing you videos and pictures using our tablets. Our tour will start in front of the Powder Tower at 10 am. From there we will walk to see Charles University and a theatre where Mozart premiered his opera. The narrow passages will lead us to our next destination - a mysterious St. James's church and Ungelt. After a short break we will head out to the Jewish Quarter and Paris Street, which will lead us to the Old Town Square. There we have to check out the Astronomical clock and its famous show! Finally, we will take a walk and cross Charles Bridge into Mala Strana to finish our tour next to John Lennon Wall. - MAX. 10 people per group - Certified Guides

100% recommend. Made the visit better.
Two 31 year olds from UK.

23rd November.

World war 2 tour with Vaclav (hope I spelt it right)

The world war 2 tour was emotional as you’d expect but very educational. I would certainly recommend this tour as something different as it takes you past several key monuments in the city and you get to see things you’d never think of. It’s a great insight in to another country that struggle in the war. I feel as though the UK do not cover what happened in other countries during the wars in enough detail in schools and whilst in Prague I would definitely recommend this tour. The majority of these guides accept card as well as cash and can’t recommend them enough as it literally made our trip better.

Stopped for break/coffee. Used public transport/trams.

The old town tour

This was our second tour of the day with James.

James was fantastic. Originally from the US who came to Prague to coach but eventually found his calling as a guide. Completely different to the ww2 tour but well worth it to learn the history of the city. Charles bridge, old town, clock, Lennon wall. Just fantastic to walk the city and learn about the things you see rather than just see them and not know.

James taught us a little Czech (it’s a tricky language). Had a nice break at a coffee shop.

Honestly the best thing we done in Prague and made our trip.

We had a castle tour book for the following day but due to sickness couldn’t make it which was a massive shame. We cancelled and rearranged but weren’t able to make it again. I walked up to the castle but like I mentioned earlier I just admire the beauty without actually learning anything.

They WhatsApp you with a meeting point the evening before and the communication is great.

I left my poorly partner in the apartment and WhatsApped the tour guide for a recommendation of a gym which they happily provided different options.

Please pay as much as you can. Although these tours are free the idea is you pay what you believe it’s worth. I wish we could’ve given more. There’s the little awkward moment when the tour finishes but they couldn’t be nicer. Be the first to step up rather than worrying about what others give and just give what you believe it’s worth. You want get a better experience of Prague.

They have a YouTube page with additional information. Just a brilliant experience.

Oh and they send you a recommendations list which is about 12 pages long after the tours. Well worth it.

Thanks Vaclav, James and Valerie (even though we didn’t get to do the castle tour)

A great jumping off point for Prague.
I stumbled upon them while looking up Cesky Krumlov on YouTube (Real Prague Guides). An excellent, informative tour giving a good introduction to Prague. Nico was knowledgeable and gave enough anecdotes and personal stories to keep you engaged. 3 of the guides own the company so you know they care about the quality of the tours. They also communicated well about the booking over WhatsApp and sent an email with an excellent list of restaurant/cafe recommendations for good food and so you can avoid tourist traps.

Our afternoon Tourguide, Kamil, gave a wonderful wonderful tour of the three quarters of Prague. I went into the tour not knowing anything about Prague, but afterwards, I am inspired by all the stories and history and beauty of the city. The way Kamil was able to communicate the tour was amazing, and deserves all the applause.

Prague History Tour

The entire tour was fantastic! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to learn about Prague. Kamil (with a K) was very knowledgeable, has a good sense of humor, and is very experienced with traveling and as a guide. I really liked how he taught us about Czech culture and the basics of the language as well. This tour really made me appreciate just how much history is in Prague, and it far exceeded my expectations.
