Robert was a great guide, accommodating and provided lots of information. He did a great job of putting each food tasting into context of Czech's history.

The tour consisted of 5 stops (3 pics below, will leave the other 2 as surprises), which was less than other reviews had led me to expect, but that may have been because post-pandemic tourist season was not yet in full swing. The vegetarian in our group also had lots to sample so that was great.

One or two more dessert stops would have been great :)

This tour is about so much more than the food! Eva, our guide, is a Prague native who not only knows the history of the city but is also up-to-date with the city's exciting food and restaurant culture. Her route through Old Town took us off the beaten path past sights other tours miss. The tour is totally worth the price, considering what you get: lovely food, a relaxed walk in beautiful Prague, and a surprising number of fascinating details about Prague's past and present.

I had such a delicious day with Eva on our food tour! I was lucky enough to have a small group, just myself and one other solo traveler. Eva walked us all over Prague and told us the history of the areas we visited as well as treating us to some delicious food from the city. She left me with a full belly and a lot of tips to use when dining the rest of my trip.

Enjoyable day on the Prague food tour with our friendly and informative guide Robert. We sampled several of the delights of Czech food in various locations around the city walking through the maze of streets and gaining a real feel for the city and its history. All the food sampled was amazing and my particular favourite was our stop for the Czech open sandwiches and butchers cuts of meat to sample. Absolutely delicious!

I really enjoy going on food tours when travelling, and those offered by Eating Europe are no exception! It's a great opportunity to get a lay of the land and a taste of the local culture - best done at the beginning of your visit to any city. I have done one in Amsterdam, and now Prague, and have not been disappointed! The food and beverages on this tour were delicious, and our guide kept us on a good pace through the afternoon. Definitely come hungry!

All in all the food tour is recommendable. All dishes were super tasty and the historical and cultural facts about it were fascinating. You don't have to walk that far from place to place so it's even something for elderly people who aren't that agile anymore. Also the pace of the walk was comfortable. I really liked this food tour. But, in my opinion, ~ 75 € fee are quite expensive for it.

However, if you want to book this tour, try to avoid the guide Eva. She was really difficult to endure. Don't get me wrong: sometimes people "don't vibe" or just don't like each other - and that's totally fine.

But in a professional environment her behaviour was simply unacceptable. Especially, when it's a tour with only two people in the group. So, I had literally no one to turn to in this awkward situation. Instead I had to endure it for almost 4 hours while our guide was charmed by the other customer in the group and ignored me most of the time.
How did I notice that? For example: while talking about stuff she only looked in the direction of the other girl in the group - never in mine. She showed quite clearly that she seemed to be annoyed by me and my questions and further she was also weirdly "connecting" over special topics with the other, I simply had no clue about. Once or twice she even warned me like child about doing nothing serious in fact (?). I mean WTF... really?!

After thinking about it, I suspect that she was triggered by me "being Polish" which her first question about my ethnicity showed me (... it's an open secret that lots of the Czechs aren't very fond of their neighbours).

I'm not here to whine about "my guide not liking me". I just can't stand if anybody's behaviour is the reason why my long awaited vacation is blackguarded. Especially not by an uptight woman who does not know how to behave professionally and has her "favourites" during a tour. I've just felt bad most of the time and thanks to Eva I unfortunately left this tour disappointed and pissed.

I'm rating this tour with two stars for the great food and the infos around it as well as one for Prague, the beautiful. But that's it!

I did this my first day in Prague. Not only was the food delicious (and not too much - the perfect amount) I had a great tour guide named Neil who showed us significant sites in the city and the historical significance. Very interesting and fun! I'd highly recommend.

Eva was tremendously knowledgeable and generous with her time and experience. In addition to the great establishments that we visited on the tour, she shared several other recommendations for places to try around the city. We would definitely take another tour with her again.

Petra was our tour guide and she was over the top. Knowledgeable about the city, the architecture, the history, the government and politics, the people and a wealth of information about the Czech food. We learned everything and more we wanted to know about Prague and the Czech Republic. Petra was delightful and fun. We would definitely reccommend a tour with her. You will not be disappointed. Oh and the food that was chosen for our tour was wonderful, delicious. We walked away full of food and information to share with our son and his family who came the following day. We have done many food and history tours in different cities and this was one of our best. Book it!

I loved this fabulous tour because it introduced me to eateries only 100 metres from my hotel which I would never have discovered by myself. The food was modern Czech, not to heavy (except for two dumplings which are optional). Best of all was Neil, the guide (the only exist in the tour company), who had the greatest sense of humour and could compare the Czech psyche with the English psyche based on his experience of marrying into a Czech family and living in the Czech Republic. One of my favourite food tours anywhere.
