Blown away by the concert
I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this classic concert, having never been to one before, but it was absolutely amazing. The hour went so fast. All three musicians were very talented, but the piano player (Martina) was sensational. She was captivating to watch. I wish this lasted longer. Excellent price for what you get and it is in a beautiful setting. Would highly recommend this, it was my favourite thing from our whole Prague trip.

Pretty location, talented musicians
Dec. 2019
The setting for these concerts i lovely, and the musicians are obviously very talented. I didn't enjoy the program, however, a collection of popular classical music rearranged for piano, flute, and viola. Selections included Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Bizet's Carmen Suite, and (of course) Fur Elise--the selections for the program made no sense other than to appeal to the sensibilities of tourists who only experience classical music through luxury car commercials. The arrangements were very good, but I'm unsure why they were arranged for a piano, flute, and viola. I was disappointed with the musical selections, especially since there are so many Czech composers to highlight! That said, the highlight of the program for me was an arrangement of Smetana's Vltava for solo piano, played exquisitely by the pianist (whose name wasn't printed in the program). I understand the need to bring in tourists who don't necessarily have a background or interest in classical music, but I would have loved to have seen more balance between appealing to the common man and showcasing all that classical Czech composers have to offer. Still, I don't regret the purchase of tickets and recommend the experience for the quality of the performers and the venue. If I had to do it over again, I would have bought the more expensive seats--the sound quality was fine and probably even better closer to the back. But maybe in the front seats we wouldn't have had to sit next to and behind people who were on their phones and/or talking the whole time.

Unlike the promotional photos, we had 1 piano 1 flute and 1viola. That may have been ok but the viola and piano were not tuned. The pianist however was enthusiastically intense.

Peaceful break from the Christmas markets
Dec. 2019
Although it was difficult at first to locate the Palace: go through security on the left of the gates and walk almost to the end of the Castle complex. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, the setting is beautiful and it feels an intimate event, as the audience is quite small. I would recommend this if you would like to relax, in a peaceful setting with lovely music.

VERY NICE
Sep. 2019
this was my first time in a concert, i expected something big, but actually it was 4 instruments only. the musicians are quite professional and the music was lovely. however i would not recommend the afternoon concert because the palace was crowded with tourists and we had to walk a long way, we arrived late and tired. evenings could be much better.

Surprisingly excellent concert in a fairytale setting
Nov. 2019
As an experienced concert-goer, I was a little worried that this concert would be a tourist-oriented mishmash of old chestnuts, but I was pleasantly surprised by a heartfelt performance by excellent, accomplished musicians. My friend and I were treated to a program of classical pieces arranged for piano, flute and violin, sometimes playing all together, sometimes separately. It was a beautiful hour of music in a fairytale palace setting. Note: If you buy the less expensive "blue" seats, get there early to score a good seat. Also, if you're planning to visit the palace exhibits after the concert, make sure you buy your tickets together (concert + palace), in order to enjoy the discount. Definitely recommend the Palace museum with the audio tour. It was a thrill for me to see original Beethoven and Mozart scores!

A sort of magic in the afternoon
Oct. 2019
The palace is big and then you can take a break and hear good music warmly delivered. We attended a concert by a two women ( a flutist and a pianist) and a man ( a violinist) which was well done. The pianist, especially, was excellent and reminded me of some great church musicians I have heard. The seating is comfortable and you will long remember the experience.

Allow extra time for getting through castle security
Oct. 2019
I missed the concert because when I arrived at the castle perimeter, there was a 1/2 hour bag check (security) line I needed to go through. Disappointing! I'm sure the concert was lovely. Sorry to have missed it.

After several annual visits to Prague, we attended this concert in a beautiful venue and wonderful music by a trio including piano, flute and violin. The pianist was quite incredible. The palace has a marvelous history and the present Lobkowicz family has allowed for this very nice concert
