      Lots of wildlife
Saw lots of wildlife: python, sea eagles, pelicans, snake bird, tawny frog mouth. The captain provided interesting facts and stories, the champagne and beverages was a nice touch and the 30-40 plus kangaroos at the campground was a wonderful surprise at the end.

      Not worth the money
Okay not very exciting and a little expensive. You don’t see much and although it’s an Everglades system it is not a patch on the Florida Everglades.

Interesting tour with the chance to spot some exotic birds
This is an interesting tour that has much promise of seeing wildlife, but you’re in the lap of the Gods as to whether it will oblige on the day of your tour! Sadly for us the more exotic encounters with ospreys or eagles didn’t materialise but we did see a couple of types of cormorant and a pelican as we crossed the lake to the Everglades. Harry the skipper kept up an interesting commentary about the area and its history as well as pointing out natural flora and fauna. Christina the hostess meanwhile kept everyone topped up with the complimentary beer, Prosecco and juices! Spotting birds is always subject to luck but taking the tour is a great way to see a unique environment and get some great photos of the mirror river

      Peaceful afternoon at the Everglades
We had a great time on the Serenity Cruise and would recommend to others. Our guide was knowledgeable and fun, and was full of information about the Everglades and its wildlife. We weren’t lucky with the bird spotting on our trip but it was a lovely, peaceful way to spend a couple of hours, plus we saw our first kangaroos on our return to base!

      Essential perspectives for consideration.
An interesting experience. Quite an eye opener with regards to the first settlers. It’s a conservation area now and basically a tourist attraction. The pilot of the boat was an extremely experienced man who shared his passion and knowledge of the great outdoors with us. Nice friendly group onboard. Organise yourself with the pick up locations and timings. No room for error.

      Very disappointed
Very disappointed. The boat ride was nice but we were expecting to see wildlife. Saw one bird. Told 45% of birds were in Everglades. Where were they all? Too expensive fora ride through the waters and every tree looks the same. Drinks were a nice touch.

      Wonderfully relaxing and informative.
Wonderfully relaxing and informative. Everything went smoothly from the pickup at Noosa to the return drop-off. Once you cross the lake, you enter the mangroves and then on to the Everglades. Beer, Prosecco and/or soft drinks flow freely if you want them. The retreat in itself is a lovely place to wander around with kangaroos running free. Fortunately we struck lucky with the weather and this was one of the high points of our tour

      Boring tour nothing interesting
We have rarely spent so much money for so much boredom. For $89 per person we could have gone out to eat. Just a shame. Noosa itself is very beautiful but the everglates can be skipped.

      Kept the money!!
We were notified on the morning of the cruise that we would have to wade through the water at some stages of the cruise. I called and cancelled as we are in our 70s and didn't feel confident/comfortable with this. It had not been mentioned previously. The company OK'ed a refund (they tell me), but Booking.com are refusing to refund. The company now say they can do nothing as Booking.com hold the funds and have a 24-hour policy for cancelations. $178 down the drain, no one willing to accept responsibility - be careful!!

Such an amazing natural wonder to be able to respectfully explore, thanks to Everglades Eco Safaris. Our guides were so knowledgeable and entertaining. Lovely to see so many birds and stunning reflections in this protected habitat. Can’t wait to return to try it in kayaks.

Absolutely amazing must do at least once in a lifetime if not twice
It was an awesome trip picked up from a convenient place that worked in with our mornings activities lovely views along the way but nothing compared to the breathtaking views once we got on our boat just an amazing part of the world the wildlife and the the sheer beauty of the Everglades the boat captain was great bloke to talk to great story and just made the experience that much better all the way back to shore Small wait for the bus and dropped us right back where we started would highly recommend it to everyone and anyone to do at least once if not twice can’t wait to do it again

    What an amazing tour!
Steve kindly helped us in organising an Everglades Explorer Tour and it was a great experience from start to finish. All the staff that we dealt with were professional, friendly and knowledgeable and the tour itself was great value. The everglades are truly a special experience, and having the option to canoe was brilliant. We had lovely gourmet muffins for morning tea and enjoyed a delicious lunch and beer at the microbrewery & restaurant after. It was a beautiful day all round and we are already looking forwards to heading back. Thanks to the Everglades Eco Safari team!

Absolutely recommend the canoe experience. Paddling through the everglades wasn't difficult and very safe. Plenty of time to rest, take photos, and appreciate the scenery. Cruise was fantastic with Trevor as the guide. Although when you canoe ahead of the boat, the water becomes so still and quiet, it was just beautiful. Recommend wearing thongs otherwise leave your shoes on the boat while you canoe.

My wife and I with our son and partner, visiting from Japan, were collected from the bus stop at Noosa near Hastings Street for a 35 minutes bus ride to Elanda Point. We were last there 30+ years ago, huge changes including a restaurant and micro brewery.

A quick trip across the lake where half the boat load of 12 then set off in the Canadian style canoes for Harry's Hut. All of the way we had an excellent commentary re the ecology of the region.

After morning tea coffee and a muffin, I had talked my wife into the paddle back enjoying the fantastic scenery in the everglades. Word of warning, it takes about an hour, if you are tall and 72yo male with a hip op it can be a challenge. Lunch was back at Elanda Point, the fish option was a good choice.

My husband and I took booked this trip last minute as unsure about the cost of it, but had been advised that going to Harry's Hut was a must. We were picked up and all going very well until we got into our canoes at Fig Tree Point and were told the route up to the Everglades which we particularly wanted to do was closed, due to the rain the previous day and the water levels rising.
I understand that this can't be helped but when you spend $300 to paddle around a windy lake, we were both very disappointed.
On our return we were told nothing could be done about it, eventually after being offered to go there the following day to do the same thing again and then being told it was closed for 7 days we were very frustrated. Eventually we were told we could go again at a later date. We are from the UK and that is not possible.
I feel some sort of compensation would of made the loss a bit more bearable.
Will not take the risk again.

My wife and I did the full day tour and canoe paddle of the everglades and thoroughly enjoyed it. The weather was beautiful & Lake Cootharaba was calm and glistening in the morning sun as we headed across to the north of the lake to canoe the upper Noosa River. Paddling in the canoes or staying on the boat, the peace and tranquility we experienced through the everglades was very relaxing and offered lots of photo opportunities to capture the perfect reflections of the tannin stained waters.
Our skipper, Dave, was very informative throughout the trip. His laconic Aussie style of humour and narration was a big plus and kept us entertained all the way. He would be a great drawcard for any international travellers looking for a genuine local experience with an indigenous flavour. Together with his trainee first mate, Paddy, they did a great job keeping everyone safe, informed, entertained and made to feel welcome. Highly recommend this tour.

What a waste of time and money !!

My advice is : rent your own kayaks or canoes and do a self guided tour (not much to see anyway…) but do not waste your whole day on this !

    Why?
    1. The whole day felt like they wasn’t much to see but the company stretched the activities and were buying time to fill up the 6hours (unnecessary long breaks during the day, lengthy lunch, etc)
    2. The guide was not a great story teller and provided very little information about the lake, the fauna and flora, but told us about his personal memories of the lake ! Not what we came to hear during 6 hours…
    3. In 6 hours we saw a kingfisher and and eagle, that’s it. Not exactly the great Australian experience promised in the very misleading brochure !
    4. The overall pace of the day was slooooow. Clearly, it is tailor-made for people who are not active (possible for the aging Noosa population and tourists?). The only dynamic part of the day was the canoe, which was only for one hour (out of 6…)
    5. « BBQ lunch by a chef » was a mediocre and too cooked steak with salad at 2pm (my husband had the fish which was tasteless). No dessert, no drinks, and not even enough salad for the whole group !

Overall a very disappointing and overpriced experience !!

Thank you for your feedback which is always welcome and imprortant in our aim to continually improve our services. It is disappointing that you did not enjoy the tour as we receive raving reviews from people of all ages. The rain has seen the wildlife harder to spot over the recent months but we have no doubt this will return to normal. The canoe is 5km which was designed to provide a great experience in this natural setting without exerting guests too much (the schedule has been tailored based on guest feedback and requirements). Your feedback on the lunch has been passed on. All of our produce is sourced locally and delivered fresh everyday. Water is available however alcohol is not part of the tour inclusion (available to purchase). We also offer an afternoon cruise which may have better suited your preferences. We hope to have the opportunity of having you return in the future.

After reading reviews of other full day tours we decided to take a slightly easier option of a cruise and canoe.

Trevor our guide was excellent on the boat and we decided to do the canoe both ways to and from Harry’s Hut , it was great to have a break at lunchtime and then tackle the return journey.

We would have loved to have sampled the famous pork roast but Covid alternatives of a pre packed ploughmans lunch was excellent .

Would highly recommend this option to anyone who wants to see this part of Noosa.

    This was a great experience.
We stayed at Habitat Noosa so received 15% discount. The tour left around 9:30 and we were back by 2pm for a delicious lunch served at the Cootharabar Restaurant at Habitat Noosa.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area - everything from the history, geography and botany. First stop was Fig Tree point where a number of the younger passengers opted to paddle a canoe the 5 km further upriver to Harry’s Hut. The rest of us enjoyed a short bushwalking’s through the paperbark forest before heading up river through banksia and cabbage palm treed banks.
Morning tea was served at Harry’s Hut. Unfortunately there weren’t enough muffins to go around! However there was water
Melon, cold drinks, tea/coffee. Toilets were available here ( compostable and smelly but eco-friendly). We also had time for a quick swim in the river and a photo at Harry’s Hut before heading back.

This is a beautiful river ecosystem just 100km north of Brisbane. The boat allows very good viewing as well as a front area lovely for photography. Very serene with a couple of stops along the way. First one allows anyone who wants to canoe to the next stop (5km away) to get a canoe. Everyone meets up at the next spot for morning tea and a visit to historic Harry’s Hut. The morning tea was substantial and very nice. The fellow who drove the boat was extremely knowledgeable and filled the time with history and anecdotal stories. On return, lunch was served (choice of steak, fish, or vegetarian). This was the lowlight of the trip. I’ve usually found that tours which include lunch or dinner fall down in that area and this was no different. My friend who had fish said it was tasteless. My steak was virtually raw and very chewy. Nice salads though. It’s the site of a micro brewery so there are some good beers. Worth it for the river cruise but if you think they’ll be lots of birds (which the brochure alludes to) you will be disappointed. Because of the PH balance of the water (due to the tannan from the tea trees), birds do not inhabit the area. Only saw 2 coromonts on one tree. Just a little info to keep you from expecting something different.
