- 1The Noosa River system is unique as its entire upper catchment is protected in National Park. Throughout your cruise take the opportunity to observe and photograph the unique beauty of an everglades eco system. While viewing wildlife is never guaranteed on tour, many guests have spotted a variety of bird species and several kangaroos and goannas upon returning to Habitat. “Discover an unspoiled part of Noosa - Australia’s Everglades. Pristine water full of life. Our Guide kept us consumed with the beauty of the place and the knowledge he shared was fantastic. I recommend this great half day tour to everyone!” At the end of the tour, maybe go for a walk around Habitat Noosa and maybe even spot a few of our local kangaroos before concluding a great afternoon in Australia's only Everglades.

- clarecY6800IA0 contributionsTotal waste of moneyMy husband and I took booked this trip last minute as unsure about the cost of it, but had been advised that going to Harry's Hut was a must. We were picked up and all going very well until we got into our canoes at Fig Tree Point and were told the route up to the Everglades which we particularly wanted to do was closed, due to the rain the previous day and the water levels rising. I understand that this can't be helped but when you spend $300 to paddle around a windy lake, we were both very disappointed. On our return we were told nothing could be done about it, eventually after being offered to go there the following day to do the same thing again and then being told it was closed for 7 days we were very frustrated. Eventually we were told we could go again at a later date. We are from the UK and that is not possible. I feel some sort of compensation would of made the loss a bit more bearable. Will not take the risk again.Written 17 December 2024

This is an interesting tour that has much promise of seeing wildlife, but you’re in the lap of the Gods as to whether it will oblige on the day of your tour!
Sadly for us the more exotic encounters with ospreys or eagles didn’t materialise but we did see a couple of types of cormorant and a pelican as we crossed the lake to the Everglades.
Harry the skipper kept up an interesting commentary about the area and its history as well as pointing out natural flora and fauna.
Christina the hostess meanwhile kept everyone topped up with the complimentary beer, Prosecco and juices!
Spotting birds is always subject to luck but taking the tour is a great way to see a unique environment and get some great photos of the mirror river

Absolute must do for those visiting Noosa. Very interesting and informative experience - and so different to the rest of the Sunshine Coast. Very comfortable boat. Habitat Noosa the campsite is really well appointed (you don't have to camp - but there is lovely food at the cafe and loads and loads of kangaroos!!) Pete the skipper and guide was absolutely brilliant - very much a local brought up in the everglades area - everything was very clear and well laid out - with good funny bits - and lots to see - the amazing reflections in the water, the bird life, we saw a koala - it was fabulous! Would definitely recommend it. Loved it.

We set off into a rain shower which looked set to ruin the tour, but fortunately cleared perfectly just as we entered the Everglades.
Peter, our tour guide/skipper was great fun and informative. He pointed out many various aspects of the Everglades as we passed through, even reversing the boat to view some blue kingfishers (birds) at one stage. Certainly an informative and relaxing cruise through a rare and unique area of Australia.
Getting us all back to the dock with just enough time to shelter from a huge tropical storm that we could all see heading our way, was very much appreciated too!! Well done Peter. Thank you.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to leave a review of our Serenity Tour.
We love our skippers and they love educating our guests about the region. We have such a unique eco system here in the Noosa Everglades and are happy to show it off.
Our skippers will always do their best to accommodate our guests when bad weather hits.
Thank you for travelling with us and we hope to see you again soon.

We booked the tour for a family of 5, including one kid, 2 adults and 2 senior, and chose courtesy bus pickup from Noosa Heads. Unfortunately, I was misled by an email message with the incorrect Google map location, hence went to the wrong pickup place and missed the bus. Then I rang Habitat Noosa and was told "I knew you guys hadn't turned up at the pickup location, our bus has left".
So, I drove the family to the estate and spoke to the guy who's in charge of bus service, I said "you guys could have given me a call after knowing I missed the bus, what if I don't have a car? We would have missed the whole trip"; this is what he said to me "It is a problem with your phone, we have had 480 plus pickups and nobody else went to the wrong location. We are only responsible for running the shuttle bus, calling you is not my responsibility, it is all your fault!".
Let's say it is 100% my fault for missing the bus, considering how much I paid for the trip, I believe I deserve better customer service than this. At least you could have called me and discussed alternative transport after knowing I have missed the bus. Instead, your service team members were arrogant and insulting.
We have traveled around the world, this is the worst customer experience.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience Allen. We deeply regret the issues you encountered with your recent booking and the service you received. Your feedback is invaluable, and I’m truly sorry for the frustration and disappointment you experienced.
Your booking was made through a third party operator in which we request an email and phone number so we can call/text confirmation of the pickup time and location the day prior. I see there were 3 emails sent and 2 text messages from our log so we will also investigate why they were not received. Perhaps the information provided from the operator had an error.
It is concerning to hear that the incorrect Google map location led you to the wrong pickup location in which although that is outside of our control (google) we will definitely look into this further. We understand the inconvenience of missing the bus and then having to self drive to not miss the tour.
As the pickup locations are transit stops, they only allow 2 minutes to board customers and depart. Unfortunately because of this restriction, the driver cannot call customers that are not at the stop. Please be assured we will look into ways to better manage this process.
Customer service is extremely important to use and I regret that the discussions you had with our team did not meet the level of service you deserved. Please be assured this is not the standard we aim to uphold and we will be addressing this issue internally to ensure that our staff are more responsive and understanding in similar situations.
Please feel free to contact me directly at bdm@ecoqld.com should you wish to discuss further.
Thank you once again for bringing this to our attention. We hope to have the opportunity to restore your faith in our services.
Sincerely,
Kelly C (Everglades Eco Safaris)

We were notified on the morning of the cruise that we would have to wade through the water at some stages of the cruise. I called and cancelled as we are in our 70s and didn't feel confident/comfortable with this. It had not been mentioned previously. The company OK'ed a refund (they tell me), but Booking.com are refusing to refund. The company now say they can do nothing as Booking.com hold the funds and have a 24-hour policy for cancelations.

In the Everglades with no other boats around, just wildlife.
Booked the tickets at Pelican boat building on the river at Noosaville ( thanks Chelsea, very helpful ) but please be aware that the shuttle picks up in the adjacent car park near the road and not right out front of Pelican. Not a problem, but the shuttle driver had to phone us to find out exactly where we were .
The tour was I thought extremely good, very informative commentary and history including indigenous facts and legend. Lovely to glide through the Everglades without other watercraft in sight. Individual cheese , crackers and dip platters afterwards as well as champagne on the boat. Shuttle back to point of pick up.
Overall very good value , perfect weather helped when viewing the reflections in the water of course . I recommend it.

It didn't start well with us all waiting out the front for almost 15 minutes. Finally the very nice bus driver came and spoke to us. The guide on the boat thought he was funny, and so did a handful of passengers. The majority however found his lame attempts at jokes and opinions about irrelevant things not in the least bit funny. The best part was when he stopped talking and we could actually enjoy the serenity. The river system is interesting and the reflections are beautiful but I was hoping to see more bird life. The food platter at the end of the trip was very nice.

This was a lovely trip into the Everglades. I was going to take the kayaking trip, but went with small children, so chose this instead. The Everglades are such a beautiful tranquil place. The boat was expertly manoeuvred through, and interesting facts about the Everglades were revealed by the pilot. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The boat don’t have a toilet on board however. Two and a half hours might be a struggle for some adults and children!!!

Hello and thank you for the wonderful feedback. Our Serenity Tour is a great way for families to see the amazing Noosa Everglades.
And as for toilets, we tell all of our guests beforehand about the toilet situation and toilet stops along the way can be requested as there are toilets in the national park along the way.
We hope to see you join us again soon and thanks again.

Our skipper gave a very informative commentary during our cruise. The everglades are unique in the Southern hemisphere and situated about a 30 minute drive from Noosa. A complimentary glass of bubbly was also appreciated. The purpose built boat negotiated the shallow waters of the lake before entering the creek that leads to the everglades.

Our family of 3 adults and one child had a wonderful afternoon on the Serenity tour. Toby was a great guide who spotted a kingfisher bird and several cormorants. We even saw a koala towards the end of the journey. The sparkling wine and beer was a nice touch and we appreciated the return shuttle service between Hastings St and the cruise launching point. Thank you!

Hello and thank you for the great review. Toby is an expert at spotting the cute and colourful Kingfishers! We have also been seeing some koalas and goannas on tour!
And what better way to experience the everglades than with a glass of bubbles in hand!
Thanks again!

Hi I was just wondering if this also offers a concession/student card price as well? And if so, how much are the tickets?
Written 29 August 2019
Looking at the website - can’t see a student concession . Seniors are $4 less than the $79 adult fare. You may be able to negotiate . Good value for money even at the full price.
