- Pachacaid0 contributionsA Wonderful ExperienceMy wife and I took the All Sea Charter boat from Augusta as a treat for my wife's birthday. It was a wonderful trip and we saw many Southern Right Whales with their calves. To be able to get so close to them was amazing and our skipper steered the boat so carefully and considerately near the whales. We also saw a Humpback Whale which was a treat. The two hour trip was filled with information from the crew and we felt very safe and welcomed on board, thank you All Sea Charters for a great day.Written 3 August 2024
- GoPlaces6735960 contributionsWhales Everywhere!! Did not disappoint.We had a fantastic 2hr Whale Watching cruise from Augusta in July 2024 which definetely did not go too quickly. The captain and 2 young crew were absolutely wonderful and couldn't do enough for everyone and kept asking if we were okay and if we needed anything. Thankfully we weren't seasick but they looked after those that were so well. The captain was so personable and loved his manner toward us all. Very friendly and he genuinely wanted to ensure we got the best sightings of whales and dolphins. We saw a huge amount of tail flapping considering it was the end of the north bound migration period and the start of the south bound migration. We were generally impressed by it all. They even had a marine biologist on board answering questions. The whales breached over and over, and we got to see humpback, southern right whales, and even dolphins! Amazing! The sea lions were out on the beach and a few swam around and in between the swimmers . The bbq on the boat was great. Grace is an excellent cook and the snags were fantastic. We had a wonderful time on this whale watching trip - pick-up instructions were clear and everything was easy to find. Our guide & crew were friendly and helpful, and gave good commentary and context on the area and different kinds of marine life that lived in the area. We were able to see plenty of dolphins and whales - the whales even leapt out of the water and put on a show for us! Highly recommended!

We are pleased to here our crew delivered the experience we expect them to and you were well informed on the tour. Dolphins as well as Humpacks putting on a show - is truly a memorable experience. What an amazing experience! Just blown away by the size and gracefulness of these majestic creatures. Plenty of breaching and play amongst the whales and we saw heaps of them too. The skipper and the crew were fantastic and very personable and friendly. Overall just a great day out and well worth it. As a tour guide from Margaret River myself, I highly recommend this tour and wouldn't hesitate for a second recommending this to anyone who wants to watch whales from a fantastic boat with a great crew. Thanks guys for making my day off a memorable one. Just awesome!

2nd time out with with All Sea Characters on their new boat Santosa, they did not disappoint. Dean and Sherri were very informative and extremely entertaining. They kept our spirits high and got us all involved in making noises to encourage the whales to which we got to experience a close encounter. Was amazing to see the whale right next to boat. Highly recommend these guys for an experience of a life time.

Our first whale watching trip ever and we were blessed with the opportunity to witness a whale breached. Beautiful creatures and amazing day. The captain and sherry were very skilled in spotting (and following) the whales and dolphins. Highly recommended. The sea as quite choppy for us but the sea sick pill worked wonders.

Awesome morning out on the calm waters off Busselton , whale watching . And we weren’t disappointed, it was amazing , we saw several whales & calves and one calf putting on a fantastic show for us .

We had a wonderful time! There were lots of whales about, although they tended to dive when we were near and breach in the distance. The skipper went to a lot of trouble to get as close as possible and was friendly and informative. There were only about 15 people on board, so we all had excellent opportunities to take photos. The trip was much longer than originally booked (almost 3 hours) because we spotted a couple of whales on the way home so the skipper detoured to get closer. The weather was superb for sailing and the crew were more than welcoming - I thoroughly recommend this charter.

I had booked the 4 hour adventure tour to Carnac Island as a birthday gift for my husband for 24th February. This was the same day of the Rottnest Channel Swim.
We arrived 10mins before our 8am tour to a full boat with other passengers including staff Aidan, Lockie (and I can't remember the name of the other staff member). To be honest we were surprised the tour wasn't cancelled because the weather on this day was terrible from the start. It was cold, windy and rainy at parts. We would have appreciated being given the option (either prior to the day or on arrival) to book an alternative date, but we werent given any other option but to show up and continue the tour.
We set off for Carnac Island as planned and as you can imagine, the boat ride was extremely cold and windy (our mistake for not bringing a jumper), and as it was such a full boat there was nowhere to sit so we had to balance as best we could while standing. At one stage my husband and I were standing near the front of the boat as there was a table we could lean against for balance. We were told (a bit impatiently) by Aidan to move to the back to sit down (because we were blocking the entry to the front room and had to keep moving out of the way). This was understandable, however with such a full boat of people all the seats were taken and there was nowhere to sit or lean on for support. So we moved to the back and balanced as best we could while standing.
On arrival at Carnac Island the waters were extremely choppy and murky. We reluctantly jumped in for a snorkel but the group only went into the water once (my husband and I were in the water for a total of around 20mins) because it was just too murky and choppy to see anything. It was really disappointing and not the enjoyable experience we had been hoping for.
The tour ended up coming back to Fremantle a bit earlier than scheduled (likely due to the dangerous water conditions).
All in all, it was not the enjoyable experience we had hoped and paid for. We had heard such great feedback from friends who had been to the island previously, I have no doubt it would have been amazing in better weather conditions so we were really disappointed that this tour went ahead and we weren't given the opportunity to reschedule for an alternative day.

This Review is very dissapointing and missinformed - Firstlyt wish you had contacted us to resolve any issues rather than resorting to leaving a missinformed review. The marine weather on the day indicated ok - and that is also why said swim you mention started - and was cancelled around 10am when we were already on the island. The chanel to rottnest is further and a subject to different conditions. We have received other feedback from clients onboard - they had a great experience . -
The boat was not overloaded - we always have less onboard than we are allowed , and you are the first to question this in 6 years , your direction by the captain to take a seat was due to safety and the lower cabin needs to be accessible by crew-, the tour did not return earlier than scheduled - it is due to dock before 12,, so again we wish you had rung to sort out any problem .
It is dissappointing that you did not contact us.

Had a great whale watching cruise with All Sea Charters departing from Busselton.
Paul and his team are so friendly, informative and just want there customers to have a great time.
We saw plenty of humpback whales and got very close up - luckily we had a beautiful fine day with blue skies and no swell.
Thoroughly recommend, surpassed our expectations.

A fantastic experience , so many humpbacks ! Though our captain and crew said it was a quite exceptional day , so close the beautiful whales just stayed with us as we stopped out in the bay and they chose just to keep coming and having a look at us . Great crew very knowledgable with own marine biologist aboard. Highly recommend though we were lucky to see humpbacks doing everything in the book from mugging to breaching , a trip of a lifetime

Thankyou for taking the time to provide feedback, Firstly we are please you had an amazing bucket list experience but also our crew delivered the experience we aim to - all our crew are very knowledgable - from having the logenst whale watching captain in the region - 14yrs to our marine bioligist with a lot of qualifications plus years experience , and the remainder of our crew have a lot of experience and passionate about the ovean - so it is wounderful to hear what we feel is our awesome team it exactly that. Hope you got amazing picture and wonderful lifetime memories of seeing these beautiful whales.. Look forward to seeing you again one day in the future onboard.

We saw about 6 different whales at multiple times each, altogether we would’ve seen the whales over 25 times. We were also lucky to see a few flying fish right at the boat. Paul the captain drove very well and it was smooth & we didn’t get seasick. The crew was great and very informative. Overall 5 star experience
