        Great Day Out!
Lovely day out with Busy Blue Bus Tours! We went on the Mt Barker Grape Escape with Susan as tour guide. We even had the bus to ourselves so it was like a private tour! We learned a lot about wine production in the area, sampled so much great wine and had a lovely morning snack and great lunch. It was great to interact with the producers who were all friendly. We felt unrushed and welcomed. Would recommend!

A wonderful day out not to be missed.
Most enjoyable day out. 4 great Wineries to visit including lunch, a nice mixed platter. Sue our tour guide was knowledgeable about the area we travelled and the places we visited. The wine tastings were not only yummy but informative, mostly given by family members of the Winery. The bus was comfortable and roomy. Definitely recommend this tour.

        Enlightening Experience
We thoroughly enjoyed the two hour Albany City Tour with Susan. From the start we were so impressed with Susan’s knowledge and enthusiasm. Susan helped us engage with the history and modern day Art on the streets of Albany. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough .

        Wine tasting from Albany
A fantastic day! Small group. Visited 4 wineries for tastings - all quite different. A good introduction to the region. Susan our guide was very knowledgeable about the region, the wineries and the wines. Also included a lovely shared platter lunch. Highly recommended.

Such a relaxing way to see ART
I took this tour with my sister to see art of the Great Southern Art Trail. We both found it such a relaxing way to spend the day taking in art at a number of galleries and indulging in a splendid lunch at Ducketts Mill. The artists at each venue welcomed us on arrival and explained their processes and works to us and in a couple of places, took us out back to see their workshops. Our tour guide, Tim, was great and we enjoyed some interesting conversations with him along the way. I'm a local in the region, and while I could have driven my car to the venues, the special treatment the artists provided, together with the relaxation of being chauffeured around and not be concerned with directions or timing made this tour so worthwhile. I will definitely do this tour again.

This is such an awesome natural wonder. The view is amazing and there are safety barriers in place. Really worth a drive.

        The Gap and Coastal Tour
Tim picked us up promptly at our caravan park in an immaculately clean vehicle. He is an engaging person, full of knowledge about Albany and its surrounds - we could not have appreciated this itinerary if we’d tried to do it on our own. The coastal scenery is amazing, then being up close to the wind turbines, and finally the view of Albany from Mount Melville. Oh, and the scones and tea at the whale centre were great too. Highly recommend this tour, especially if Tim is leading it.

Albany WA and what it has to offer you
Albany is a place I never thought we'd venture to given its distance from Perth but, you can now fly direct from Melbourne to Busselton with Jetstar and pick up your hire car at the airport which makes the distance much less daunting. The drive from the Margaret River is easy... not much traffic and you travel through beautiful forests and farmland all the way. You will encounter some large and long trucks along the way but there is ample opportunity to pass them on the journey and there are enough petrol/food/restrooms to stop at. It took us approximately 4 hours from Dunsborough to get there and worth a mention is, make sure you have some of your own music to play on the journey as radio stations are few and far between and not very appealing with music choice. You need to book your accommodation well in advance because Tourism has become a large contributor to the economy there. Having said all this...is it worth it?? Absolutely yes on so many levels. It is quite a large town with a great history. The people are welcoming and the food is amazing. The scenery is excellent.. many beautiful beaches (Middleton Beach has so much to offer), great landscapes and an easy drive to The Gap and Natural Bridge. We continued down to Esperance after 3 nights in the Albany area but, that's another story and must do for so many reasons. South west Western Australia has so much to offer beyond the Margaret River region. Australia is so vast and remote areas may not be as appealing for very young families due to the tyranny of distance but for those of you that are willing, it's worth it and airlines are starting to pick up on this.

Beautiful Scenery - Must Do When in Albany
I booked The Gap and Natural Wonders Tour tour with Busy Blue Bus rather than take the cruise ship excursion which was shorter and way more expensive. We were picked up at the cruise port and it turned out all the people on my tour were from my cruise ship. There were 10 people on my tour in a minibus. We had ample time at all of the attractions and our guide walked with us and gave explanations and answered any questions. Our guide loved Albany and gave a lot of information about the city too. We stopped for a delicious scone and hot chocolate at the Whaling Station. Torndirrup National Park is a must see when in Albany. We also visited The Albany Wind Farm.

Mt Barker - Wine Tasting Tour
My Wife, Son and his Wife had wonderful wine tasting tour in the Mt Barker region of WA. We were picked up by Phillip our driver for the day at Mt Baker’s visitor centre. The vehicle was a large people carrier and it was very clean and comfortable. There was another couple on the tour who we quiet quickly made friends with. The tour took us to four local vineyards and we had a lovely lunch platter at one of them that was included in the price. We have never done a wine tasting tour before and we learnt a lot and had a great time. I highly recommend the Busy Blue Bus wine tou, it was a marvellous day out.

Safe trip from Albany to Bremer Bay
Susan provided a safe early morning trip to Bremer Bay to meet the naturalistic Orca tour, then returned us back to Albany. A long drive but she managed it well.

This tour was such a fun day. Susan was a great guide and had so much knowledge of the area. Ended up only being the 2 of us however we still got to go on the tour it wasn’t cancelled. We both had a blast and got so much goodies from each place we visited. Would highly recommend this tour with Busy Blue Bus Tours.

These people charge you AUD 135 per head for what is in fact a half-day tour to a chocolate 'lounge', one winery, a cidery, and a whiskey distillery, and included in that price is a microscopic amount of chocolates at the chocolate lounge, a wine tasting and a lunch at one winery. Want a coffee with your chocolates? Pay extra. Want to taste some ciders? Pay extra. Want to taste some whiskeys? Pay extra.
Comparing that to a winery tour we had in Margaret River for AUD 110 which took us to four wineries, one brewery, one cheese factory, and one chocolate factory with generous tastings and no out of pocket costs, the BBB Tour is extremely pour value.
Add to all that the fact that there was extremely pour communication regarding our pickup time which resulted in us waiting for 70 minutes and basically wasting a whole morning.
I am sorry but I cannot recommend this tour and would advise everyone to look for alternatives instead.

Fotomate88, at Busy Blue Bus Tours + Charters we appreciate your feedback on our day tour ‘Tastes of the Great Southern’ which departs Albany daily and journeys to nearby Denmark. The tour visits Ducketts Mill Winery, where an array of artisan cheeses, fudge and condiments compliments their James Halliday four and half star rated wines available to sample and included in the tour price. The next stop is WA Tourism Council Excellence in Food Tourism Gold Medal winners and Five Star James Halliday winery, The Lake House Denmark, where wine, vinofood and winespa products can be sampled (included in the tour price) and at which a sumptuous shared, local produce lunch platter is served in a beautiful lakeside landscape. From here the tour takes guests to The Toffee Factory where an extensive range of condiments and toffee can be sampled (included in the tour price). Guests return to Albany via the world class Great Southern Distilling Company where the world’s finest whisky can be sampled and guests have a private guided tour of the distillery; included in the tour price! The pick-up time for your tour was communicated to you by our Tour Manager at the time of your booking. It was noted that you were accommodated in Denmark and that the tour departs from Albany (50kms to the east). Your booking confirmation would also note the time of pick-up; also confirmed in a conversation on the morning of the tour. At Busy Blue Bus Tours + Charters we strive to meet and exceed the needs of our guests and your review is useful to us.

Tim was our driver for the day. What a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic young man to guide us through our day.
The day started with a quick drive round the important spots of Albany before heading out to Denmark and the winerys. We enjoyed two vineyards of which one was the "Lakeside" where we had lunch. Wow, what a location. A perfect spot to have a lazy and relaxing lunch.
Then onwards to 'Limeburners'the local whiskey distilery to have some fabulous samples. All in all a great day.
If I had one criticism it would be that the day was labeled as a wine tour but only 2 winerys were visited. Maybe one more would make the day a true wine tour.

Hi rgoldham, Thank you very much for your feedback, we love hearing of our customers great experiences with our suppliers and drivers. Our Taste of the Great Southern experience is more of a taste tour than a strictly wine tour, we visit a variety of venues with the opportunity to sample not only wine but also various seasonally available local produce. Our Mount Barker Grape Escape tour may have been more suited as this tour visits four award winning wineries in the Mount Barker wine region and includes a locally sourced platter lunch. We would love to see you again for our Mount Barker Grape Escape tour for a true Great Southern wine tasting experience.

We took the BBB on this tour today. Pam our driver was full of local knowledge and very accomodating with our group. We thoroughly enjoyed the 2 wineries we visited and all tastings of all the cheese, wine and produce was included along with a sumptuous platter for lunch. Produce tasting was also included at the toffee factory and the distillery. We chose to enjoy a glass of wine at lunch and an ice cream at our own expense. Everyone we met today at all the locations visited was friendly and knowledgeable, there was no pushy sales pitches, just people passionate about their products. We would definitely recommend this as a lovely way to explore wine and food in this region.
