A great day touring parts of Kangaroo Island thanks to our excellent guide Nikki. Her passion and knowledge of KI was very evident. Being in a small group, just 4 of us plus Nikki, meant a more personalised tour. We had a great bbq lunch cooked by Nikki. I would certainly recommend Small Group KI Touring.

Nikki is the most incredible tour guide I’ve ever had; she is immensely knowledgeable and passionate and an all-round incredible human being. We saw so much wildlife on this tour and had such an amazing time. Nikki gives you an authentic experience of Kangaroo Island and knowledge of the wildlife. Well what can I say, we have just had the BEST day. Our brains are bursting from the amount of things we've learnt - to say Nikki is an expert would be an understatement! We saw so much - sea lions, kangaroos, koalas, wallabies, echidnas, dolphins, parrots, various birds.... She was so lovely with our two daughters, she quickly learned our youngest is a koala fanatic and made sure we saw lots and learnt plenty!! We enjoyed the most delicious BBQ and a glass of wine with a sea view. Special thanks to Luca for preparing this and for providing vegetarian treats for me :) We cannot thank Nikki enough for the most magical day. Our hearts are full x

Lucca was extraordinary. He was patient and really has an awareness of how to find animals in the wild. He also has a firm understanding of the islands ecosystem and really gives great context to the fauna of the island.

Great night time tour. Saw a ton of animals. Highlights were seeing the Possums running on the ground, and the penguins. Guide was very knowledgeable about the area and the animals. Was interesting. Would recommend when visiting Kangaroo island.

We have been traveling throughout Australia for 3.5 weeks and our day on Kangaroo Island with tour guide Nikki was the highlight of our entire trip. The itinerary was perfect to see the best of Kangaroo Island in one day without feeling tiring, in a very comfortable vehicle. Lunch was absolutely delicious (we had fresh grilled chicken skewers, tasty warm bread, potato salad, fresh green salad and wine in a lovely national park setting) and water, tea, coffee and yummy Anzac biscuits were on offer. As a tour guide, Nikki was punctual, caring, and attentive. Best of all, the incredible knowledge of our guide about all things KI, from its history to its geography and especially its abundant flora and fauna made for an incredible day. She was able to spot all kinds of wildlife, and knew how to quietly and safely get closer for the best views and pics. We cannot recommend KI or especially this tour enough!

The experience on the island was exciting and very interesting. Luca was perfect in organizing the tour for both days I was there. Precise in guiding me through this experience and complete with information. Incredible in organizing stops for lunch with barbecue organized directly by him in the designated rest areas. Then he reached the top by making me an Italian coffee with the Moka!!!!! An experience to be recommended especially with Luce as a guide who complements the beauty of the place very well

We recently took the 2-day Kangaroo Island tour with Kangaroo Island Hire-a-Guide. The first day focused on wildlife (koalas, kangaroos and, luckily for us, the exotic echidna); the second day on the incredible scenery and the Island’s recovery story from the dreadful wildfires a few years ago. If you have the time, we strongly recommend the 2-day tour to get the full story of this remarkable place. This firm is a two-person operation. Our guide, Kangaroo Island native Nikki Redman, was exceptional and takes you places that other tours wouldn’t go and you certainly wouldn’t find on your own. She had a phenomenal knowledge of wildlife, nature and the Island’s history. The BBQ lunches prepared were fabulous and a lot of fun. Very highly recommended.

I can’t say enough good things about this touring company! They go above and beyond to make your trip special. We took 2 day tours with them and a night safari. We saw sooo many animals and they know where to look for them. Don’t consider anyone else!

Our experience with KI Hire a Guide was absolutely 5 stars. We did the nocturnal tour with Luca and the day tour with Nikki, both of whom were fabulous. Nikki was very enthusiastic, extremely knowledgeable, and so much fun. She helped us spot a lot of animals including an echidna, koalas in trees and on the ground, kangaroos, eagles, sea lions & pups. The tour included a fabulous lunch cooked on the barbecue. We would highly recommend requesting Nikki for a day tour - she is absolutely phenomenal. Luca is very quick to respond to questions and pays attention to all the details when organizing the tours. He was great at spotting nocturnal activity during our night tour (including an echidna, penguins, opossums, kangaroos, an owl, and tons of wallabies of course). 10/10 recommend KI Hire a Guide.

What a terrific day. Our guide Nikki Redman was so fun to be with She was knowledgeable and her love of the island and passion for the animals was obvious. We had five in the group and the excitement of the overseas family of seeing native Australian animals in the wild was infectious and made a great trip even better. Would definitely recommend this day trip especially if time is limited. Great memories. Thanks Niki and Luca
