The guides were friendly, informative and funny, the sunset view was stunning, we saw lots of cool reef coral and sealife, and we had a really enjoyable time. The tour included transfers from our hotel, complimentary glass of bubbles on arrival and snacks at sunset. Plus additional drinks could be bought on the boat. The glass bottom boat gave us a really cool view of the reef. We saw turtles, little sharks, lots of tropical fish, etc. Our whole family had a really great time, would recommend.Written 11 July 2024

Found this tour and thought it would give a better view than from the beach of the sunset, which it did. We didn't realise we would also be seeing the coral from the glass bottom, it was a surprise which we really enjoyed. Downside, the bus pick up was running late. Happy not to have to drive the trip to Shute Harbour.Written 30 June 2024

I was disappointed with the Jet boat ride. Clearly the boat had some technical issues and the ride was not at all a thrill ride. My husband and 13 year old daughter went on the ride and found it to not be a thrill at all. Husband said that it was clearly there was issues with the boat hence the speed, hence the price for the 3 of us came to $200 and I don’t believe it to be worth the ride at all. Host was pleasant.

we are very sorry you was disappointed with your jetboat ride, I did look into this after I read the review.
there was nothing wrong with the boat on this day. it was all to do with how much weight was on the boat.
unfortunately there was to many big people on the one trip.
we would be happy to offer you guys a free jetboat ride next time your in Airlie beach..

Matt was funny and lively. The boat ride was thrilling with lots of fast turns, spins and manoeuvres. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the jet boat thrill ride. Highly recommended!

Brent was awesome. His infectious attitude and love of his job made our ride perfect. We laughed, got completely soaking wet, and saw a different side of Airlie. I would highly recommend this adventure for young and old - our group of 8 had ages from 11 to 55. It was a real “thrill”.

Disappointing. We drove especially to Airlie for 2 tours ( this being 1 of them). They rung while we were driving there to say they had no other bookings and if no one was to book then they will refund and cancel. They did offer for that afternoon but we already had another tour booked.
My husband was very disappointed as this was his present from me for our wedding anniversary. No apology either from the tour company. I received a txt from them saying no more bookings so will refund and cancel. No apology which I think is rude. The lady could have said ‘Oh I’m so sorry but unfortunately due to low numbers we need to cancel due to safety’. I figured the tour couldn’t go ahead as they needed more people other then my husband to weigh the boat down? Who knows why 1 person wasn’t enough. Was our 1st trip to Airlie so thankfully there was other things to do that morning to fill in our time.

The booking agent in Airlie Beach misled us into believing we had enough time to do the Jet Boat ride and get back to the last ferry back to the cruise ship (provided we could get a taxi). Not a problem they said.
However, when a large cruise ship is in town and is it raining heavily, you cannot get a taxi (or even book one) under any circumstances, so we had to pull the pin on the experience. There was insufficient time to finish the jet boat ride then walk from one end of the town to the other in the pouring rain to catch the ferry. We would have missed the departure of the cruise ship if we attempted this.
Pioneer Adventures Whitsundays were not interested in providing a refund of the 3 tickets we purchased, despite their booking agent misleading us.
Whilst the circumstances are not entirely the fault of PAW, the conduct of the agent who sold the tickets on behalf of PAW was deplorable.

firstly id like to make crystal clear that the travel agent that sold you the tickets and gave you false information is not in any way employed by PA. Travel agents are commission based pure and simple that work for themselves or as chain travel agents.
we have a 24-hour change/cancelation policy so that's why there was no refund given, it is up to the customer to determine if they have enough time, we don't know your schedule. assuming you canceled at the last minute there would be very little chance of us filling those seats thus PA losing out.
I would recommend in the future booking directly with the operator as they will have all the correct information and could easily advise if you had time to complete the trip and return to the cruise ship.

Had a great relaxing salt spa treatment on board the jet boat. Would be great if Brent would take it out of 1st gear next time and add a bit more speed and maybe barrel rolls next time. Was a great way to speed view the bay and advise everyone to give it a whirl.

Got to see the best parts of the Airlie beach bay, with an awesome driver. He really knew his stuff and was an excellent driver. The whole family enjoyed their time, kids, teens and adults. Will go on it again if we come back to Airlie Beach

We had an awesome fast paced trip around the harbour. Only way to get completed drenched with a smile on your face the whole tome. Brent our captain at the helm knew his stuff and showed us around explained the sites all while throwing in the best 360’s. Thanks guys great morning highly recommend.

Thank you for a fun morning. We were warned we would all get soaked with sea water, and that is exactly what happened over and over again. It was so fun. My daughter spotted a turtle which made her day even more amazing. Matt (staff) was fun, friendly and happy to answer any questions. Highly recommend adding this to your trip.
