I booked my tour weeks ago and was contacted to change my booking as they had a cruise ship tour that they were taking out on the day I have reserved and paid for.
I understand that one person must give way to a tour group, but I found communicating with one the owner unprofessional and abrupt.
A message was left on a Sunday requesting that I call back to discuss my booking. I returned the call that afternoon and initially with the male owner. I explained that I was returning the call. The owner stated that his wife dealt with the bookings.
He went to his wife and I could hear her arguing in the background and stating that she was not available to take the call.
I feel it's rather rude to ask a customer to call back and then loudly state that you are not available to take the call.
The gentleman returned and asked could his wife call me back but I said this was not convenient as I did not wish to play telephone tag.
I simply asked for a refund of my booking and the gentleman readily agreed.
This is not the first time I had difficulty communicating with the company.
Before making the booking, I sent a couple of emails which were never answered.
To be honest I'm actually relieved that the booking is cancelled, and I will be receiving a refund as I had my doubts about the company's professionalism and hence whether the tour would be a good experience.

Hi Lynne. Thank you for your feedback and I am very sorry for disappointing you. I always aim to try my best to not disappoint anyone. In this case, I did and I am sorry, I am only human after all.
I would like to clarify a few details. Anyone who has been a customer and met me in person or communicated with me over the phone would know I am always courteous, genuinely friendly and professional to them. I will however always stand up for my customer's wellbeing and my small business that I have put my heart and soul into.
In the case that a booking needs to be changed, such as yours was, I am always as flexible as possible to offer alternate days or tours that would be suitable well ahead of time. In this case, we could not come to an alternative and so a refund was processed for you twelve days before the date of your booking.
All of your emails we replied to as well as manually sending your confirmation emails twice, we ascertained that your @hotmail.com email address was not accepting our emails and/or going to your junk email folder. I then arranged with you via text message to send the confirmation emails to your work email address which appeared to work.
I am unsure how I am able to reply professionally to your single, sad face emoji, which was a text message to us; and then go out of your way to make a negative review of my small tourism family business that just went through two and a half years of Covid as well as giving you an apology and a full refund well ahead of time is a bit of a low blow.
I am sorry again for disappointing you, Lynne. You are welcome to join me anytime in the future on a Segway tour and hopefully regain a positive professional impression of myself and business and most of all ensure you have an enjoyable tour and holiday overall.
Kind Regards
Zak from Whitsunday Segway Tours.

Zack was a very friendly host and provided us plenty of time to get used to using the Segways. He provided informative commentary about the rainforest plants and animals. We really loved the packed lunch by his wife which was delicious! Also accompanied by a cup of tea. It was a great morning out and Zack was more than happy to stop and take photos for us. Highly recommended and feel proud to support the locals!đź’š

Had a wonderful time learning about the forest. Thanks to Zak I mastered my nerves and was able to Segway for the first time, and enjoy it.
As a round trip the 9km we covered was fun, the packed morning tea was just right for the occasion and Impost Creek was a peaceful place to relax and have a break.
Thanks again Zak

It’s easy to focus just on the reef in Whitsundays but this was a really great morning not to be missed. None of our group had ever tried this before and we were bombing around in minutes! Beautiful rainforest, very enthusiastic and informative guide and homemade cakes from his wife! Even picks you up at your hotel. Could not recommend more!

Thoroughly recommend sailing with the providence and crew, Ryan and NoNo were great hosts. Snorkeling was great for the kids and Whitehaven beach was awesome as expected. We saw turtles, rays and sharks!
The only little criticism is the yacht motored too much, not enough under sails for my liking, but Ryan did explain that was due to the wind direction??

This trip was a 100/10 according to our youngest. The tour was incredible and scenic with lots of stops when needed, a delicious morning tea by the creek and lots of good local knowledge from Zak. The tour was nice and small 6 people in total and Zak was so understanding of the kids being nervous on Segways. We honestly wanted to turn around and do the trip again and will recommend to everyone that comes up to the Whitsundays.

Great way to spend a morning, picked up at our apartment, after a short 15 minute drive we arrived at
Conway rainforest carpark for a introduction to the easy to ride segways there were 6 of us plus Zac the tour guide.
After a 16 minute practice in the carpark we headed off into the beautifull rainforest stopping every now and again to marvel at the giant 200 year old Strangle Fig trees, beautiful clear running streams and the peaceful magnificent rainforest.

The Conway National Park track with the Segways is a great way to see the many wonders of the natural world, including the strangler fig, Ulysses Butterflies, and a lot of funky fungi, when it has been raining a lot!

Our first experience on a Segway and it was nerve racking but great fun. Zak was an excellent guide and the segways were easy once the basics were mastered. Highly recommend giving it a go - the homemade muffins and brownies were a bonus.

We loved our half-day out on the Segways with Zak, they are so easy to ride and heaps of fun, I'm 60 and had no trouble at all, so if you think you are to old think again. I loved the little snack that Zak had packed with a cup of hot coffee and eating by the buddling river was just lovely. I really think it's good value for money and would definitely recommend it.

This was a great tour and a great option for something different besides enjoying the water and the beach. We booked off a cruise ship and we had time to tender in and Zak picked us up right on time and we drove to the rainforest for a wonderful guided tour. We were oriented to the segways and given a safety briefing and then off into the forest we went. Zak explained the flora and fauna and we had a few stops along the way. We loved the rainforest and we also saw large lizards called Gonnas that were sunbathing on the trail. We had a lovely little picnic at a river and we loved the homemade snacks and the hot tea. The trail is very wide and we never saw anyone else on it. We highly recommend this tour and thought Zak did a great job and loved the rainforest.
