Ollie said we might earn our "pilot's licences" out there and as it turned out, I did - finding myself taking an unexpected tumble off the back of the jetski into the Pacific near South Molle Island... when my son put the gas on and we took a slightly awkward turn. What made all this memorable and ultimately exciting and satisfying was that our guide, Ian (who's not a bad bloke for a guy from Manchester) gave us a thorough briefing, was reassuring, authoritative, attentive and, of course, good fun. I would say to the uninitiated that this is very much an adventure, rather than merely a leisure trip... so prepare for thrills and spills perhaps... you could not be in better hands with Ian, Ollie and the rest of the crew. Charlotte picked us and was very friendly and so enthusiastic about our jetski tour, took us to the meeting point and we had a funny but informative safety briefing. Out to the jetskis and once life jackets were on we were soon on the water. Over two hours of adrenaline filled adventure, twisting, turning amongst the beautiful islands, Drew our guide made sure we saw lots of places and was fantastic, making sure he took loads of photos of us. Can't thank you all enough for giving my son and me a fabulous experience and something we will remember for ever. I did the tour with my dad (mid-60s), little brother, and our partners, with the tour guide, Raih. It was one of the absolute best tourism activities I’ve ever done, and well worth the price.
First, despite the larger number of people touring at any one time, the trip felt totally private. The 5 of us had our own tour guide, and barely saw another guest for the two hour tour.
Second, Raih was lovely. He was genuinely funny, kind, and made our group feel safe, despite rough weather (including some of the group who were quite nervous before starting). He did a great job balancing the tour so the more adventurous folks had just as much fun as the less confident folks. After my dad flew off his ski after hitting a large wave, Raih was quick to respond and had him out of the water in a heartbeat.
Finally, it’s just a tonne of fun. The jet skis are fast, and you’re given a lot of freedom to be as adventurous as you feel comfortable being. I would do this again next time I’m here.

The most striking part of this experience was actually the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. I signed up to go on the waiting list for a tour that was already full with no real thought that anything would come of it. The evening before the tour I was looking at, I received a phone call from Toni telling me that the tour was still full… but what was remarkable to me was that she proceeded to offer a different tour they had just opened booking for at a similar time that my group could lock in if we wanted. Toni was so friendly and talked so highly of the tour that I was sold quite easily and excited about this different opportunity. She was also very understanding with a situation that was developing with COVID and travel restrictions being a possible issue for some from our group. She was just so enjoyable to talk to and could probably give lessons in customer service or hospitality. At the location, Rachel, who was also very friendly and hospitable, helped me out with getting the paperwork and payment done seamlessly. Finally, our tour guide Aaron was very enjoyable. He had a great sense of humour and knowledge of the area and operations. The time on the jet skis was thrilling. No prior jet ski experience is needed as they give all the necessary training there. They also provide life jackets, a rash guard and hat if you want it and pictures taken by the guide with their waterproof camera. We had an incredible time with this company and had the added bonus of seeing a few sea turtles!

Almost at the end of our Whitsunday Coast vacation, my wife and I decided on a Jetski Tour, one that was highly recommended by others we had spoken to - Whitsunday Jetski Tours. This is a really good operation with fantastic equipment and excellent personnel. We were picked up at our Hotel on the morning of the tour and met our guide Will, who was with us for the rest of the event, from the safety briefing until it was time to dry off. Whitsunday Jetski Tours are a thoroughly professional group that really know their stuff and go to great lengths to make sure you know exactly what to expect throughout the tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour, and recommend it to anyone who is after a little excitement and a whole lot of fun. I found the hosts main focus after safety, was making sure they had visual contact with the rest of the tour and making sure everyone was having a great time. Well done to our guide Will.
I don't think this tour is for everyone, but it ticked the boxes for us and made a great end to our Whitsunday holiday.

Absolutely amazing tour!
Nial was an absolute legend, made sure we got the most out of the conditions with the weather (very rough) but also making sure we enjoyed our experience took us on a different route but was still amazing can’t recommend this tour enough. They even take photos of your trip whilst on the water so you don’t have to risk losing or dropping ur own belongings in the water….oh u also get them free of charge😍
Can’t wait to come back and do it again!!

Everytime we go jetskiing we get the amazing jetski tour guide Will and we could not recommend this activity any highly enough!!!
Will always knows the best stops for pics & deserves the title of 'Head Photographer'. He must have a direct line to Little Baby Jesus because we always get phenomenal weather & water conditions.
If you book this tour you will not regret it, it's one of the best tours we have done across the globe....just make sure you ask to get Silly with Willy ;)

So much fun!! We did the Two Islands Tour, which gave us about 1.5hr on the skis in the water. We had a really thorough safety / info briefing to start the tour. It was the perfect amount of info/ time to ensure everyone felt comfortable and understood how to operate a ski safely and how the day would run.
Josh was our tour guide for the day - he was awesome, high energy and paid great attention to those on the tour to ensure the right people were in the right order (ie more confident at the front, slower at the back).
To start the day we did a learners ride around Airlie, then we headed off to the Islands. We had perfect weather (no wind, super glassy conditions) which made it so easy to make our way around the islands, go fast and venture far.
We only stopped a few times on the tour: to check everyone was all good, Josh to explain a cool area/ point out marine life and to swap drivers (if sharing skis). We appreciated this as it meant we got more time on the skis and kept it nice and fast paced!
We loved our tour and are so glad we did this whilst we were in the Whitsundays. It was a great way to end our trip here! Thanks team 👏

Wow, what a blast! I probably picked the worst day weatherwise as it was a very choppy and windy day, however the crew adapted to make it an exciting and thoroughly enjoyable experience nontheles.
We were picked up from the main street of Airlie beach and driven to the base for quite an extensive safety breifing which Ray managed to make quite entertaining .
They also reinforced several times that it was not going to be the normal tour because it was simply too windy and rough, and gave many opportunities for us to reschedule the tour or get a full refund.
We then set off in two groups with 4 jet skis following behind our guide. Al was a great guide, who checked up on us all to make sure we were going okay. I came off my jet ski twice in the first 10 minutes, but Al watched my technique and gave me some pointers after which I was able to remain on my ski for the rest of the tour.
It was very choppy, and we went out past pioneer bay for a little bit just to get a feel for how rough the open sea would be, and then came back in to explore more of the bay - we still got a lot of air, but it was so much fun.
We saw some pretty cool locations, and even a bunch of green sea turtles.
I would recommend this tour to anyone who likes a rush. If you are not confident in open ocean, perhaps book on a day when the wind is not so strong, but I had a really really great time!

It was very choppy, and we went out past pioneer bay for a little bit just to get a feel for how rough the open sea would be, and then came back in to explore more of the bay - we still got a lot of air, but it was so much fun.
We saw some pretty cool locations, and even a bunch of green sea turtles.
I would recommend this tour to anyone who likes a rush. If you are not confident in open ocean, perhaps book on a day when the wind is not so strong, but I had a really really great time!

I remember this day very well. The wind was a lot stronger than predicted. We tend to usually have a good idea of the weather the day before and will give guests a heads up if conditions are looking on the rough and adventurous side. As you experienced we will never send a guest out in condition's they are not confident in and are more than happy to offer refunds or allow for date changes. The Jetski's are built for it we just have to make sure the guest are to.
I can imagine your entertaining safety brief provided by our very Aussie guide Ray. I do hope that Alex and Ray acted out on the chairs how conditions would be out on the water. This part always makes me laugh.
Alex is an incredible guide and has been with us for many years. He is very attentive to detail and will provide tips to make your experience the most enjoyable it can possible be.
We are very lucky to be able to alter our tours due to conditions 99% of the time as the bays in Airlie Beach tend to offer some protection from the wind compared to out around the Islands. One thing we can't guarantee on the Island Tour is Turtles, glad you got to see some of them (They are massive).

How could I not recommend this crowd!? The people at Whitsundays Guided Jet Ski Tours are phenomenal. And prior to my trip out with them, I couldn't have told you this, but mate, you gotta ride a jet ski. Preferably with an amazing instructor like mine, Ian.
Now I did book my tour through a cruise line so it was highway robbery. Because since then I've had a look on their website, and if you have money to spend on leisure activities, for what they charge, what you get is more than fair. But also, I would consider if you're able to afford it, book one jet ski per rider.
If someone in your group isn't a fan of going fast or thrills, this might not be the activity for them. However, for me at least, once you get a feel for the jet ski, it is feels completely safe. Listen to your instructor when they tell you to relax on the machine! I found being loosy goosy on the jet ski made my hour and a half of riding not at all straining. Do not take this advice as "fall off your machine because internet review dude said not to hold on tightly"... You know what, listen to your instructor, they'll tell you what to do.
From the guy that drove us to the facility on the shuttle bus, to the women at reception, everyone was so courteous and kind, this experience wasn't only my most fun on this cruise. It was the most fun I've had on ANY cruise.
I can not recommend this highly enough. If you're at Airlie Beach and you want to experience genuine joy, visit Whitsundays Guided Jet Ski Tour, book the longest available tour. As that was my only regret, I wish I could have spent more time with these people riding their watercraft.

We take pride in making sure everyone is comfortable out on the water no matter their skill level, while keeping things as epically fun as possible for everyone on tour! 1 Wk in Airlie and I saw this on the hotel brochure, my 20yr old son said hell yeah having ridden on the back of my old jet ski much younger...first booking I cancelled as the weather turned bad the day prior, (so within 24hr cancel policy)...no problems, no question asked refund straight away..good experience..no dramas.. The weather turned good, well semi good with 20kt winds and overcast but we decided let's do it. The new GTX ski's even in this swell were like riding a pushbike in the grass. I thought I might be a little bored with having a licence and a ski in the past but not the case. The guide (Will) created a great track for us to follow at good speed and gave us fast water and rough taste to boot. The 1.5hr trip was exactly, if not that and a little more on the water, it does not include the induction and loading time etc so don't be scared by other hire places that include such time. AND I got to see a green turtle in the wild swim right past the ski at the end. A great father son bonding moment and free photos included with the guides action camera. No extra charges. Will do the longer 2 island next time in Airlie for sure. You guys rock and run a professional, safe but fun gig.

Did the Two Island jet ski tour with Ray and had an awesome first jet ski experience. The safety briefing was thorough, but with a good dose of humor tossed in. Had a great time on the water which was beautiful this time of the year (July). Ray was patient with slower riders, but also kept up the pace for those of us keen to give it a good crack. Remember, speed creates stability! I would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore this beautiful part of the world.

Hi looking to book when we stop at Airline beach on a cruise 23rd October 24 we dock at 7am so should be off the boat for 8am on the booking the morning time is 7.30 am then above it says 9.00 till 11.30an which is it please, are you near where cruise ships dock ?

I don't believe any of the trips stop at Whitehaven. Best to contact them directly. They are very quick to reply on social media etc and polite.

Hi there - you don't need a licence at all. Anyone can drive the jetskis although some tours will be more physically demanding than others as detailed on their website :)
