Whitsundays is incredibly beautiful- unreal. Great foods and drinks.
The boat was amazing, the sail was so cool. Loved the happy music and unlimited wine! and lots of food options, plenty of food. We saw the Whitehaven beach and the look out. Lovely mum and young daughter who works on the boat was so lovely and memorable. The snorkelling was great for the reef.

      Whitehaven and The Hill Inlet
This was amazing! I highly recommend this trip with Cruise Whitsundays. We did the full day. The staff are awesome! Even before we left, I emailed them and they responded quickly. Everyone was kind and helpful. We departed Hamilton Island and went to Whitehaven. This beach is so beautiful! We then took a boat ride out to the end of the beach to hike to The Hill Inlet. The hike was about 40 minutes. It was not strenuous. A nice nature hike before you get to the amazing view of The Hill Inlet. After we got back, had a great lunch of burgers and salads. Then just relaxed on Whitehaven. Bucket list day!!

      Whitehaven Beach is spectacular.
Great day out despite the torrential rain. Guides were very knowledgeable and helpful. BBQ on the beach was excellent. Watch out for the seagulls; they are very fast and accurate at picking food off your plate or out of your hands! We purchased the drinks package at $55 per person which advertised all day beer, wine, cider and soft drink. However wine was not allowed on the island. My wife does not drink beer and only received a very expensive small plastic glass of bubbles at 3:45pm. I have relayed my concerns about this but have yet to hear from Cruise Whitsundays.

      What a day🤩
Fantastic day from start to finish Sea a bit rough but crew all geared up for that Morning in the bay was just brilliant, lemon sharks, baby rays, soldier crabs and a great walk up through the estuary. Tour guide (Paige) was super enthusiastic, a real live wire, had us all moving in the right places at the right time. BBQ was really well organised and plenty of food for all. (Mind the seagulls!) Bonus Iguanas on the beach fringes Bought the drink package, probably worth it but not necessarily the alcohol option. All the crew of the various vessels were great and ensured you felt safe on all the various transfers

A fantastic night under the stars!
As others have noted, we traveled out to the pontoon with the day-trippers, so the initial snorkeling was somewhat crowded. But once the crowds left, there were just the 16 of us who had the reef to ourselves. And we had plenty of time to snorkel again in the morning. The 'reefbed' was very comfortable, and we slept great. I am gluten-intolerant and the food was excellent with an effort to include things like baked treats and desserts.

an experience like never before...just WOW!
OMG! This exceeded our expectations totally! When i booked this as a surprise for my husbands 60th birthday, i was concerned that we might only see a couple of fish swim past, IF we were lucky. How wrong could i have been. From the moment we stepped inside our suite, to the moment we had to be nearly dragged away 24 hours later, THOUSANDS of fish from the smallest of small to the largest being the 400kg Groper "George" paid a visit. The staff were simply the best, with nothing too much trouble. Drinks were continually offered and the food....Just wow! A private safari snorkel was experienced with those that were in the other suite as well as the reef sleepers (Swag sleepers). This whole experience was worth EVERY cent paid. Would absolutely highly recommend.

      Value for money
The crew on the Camira couldn’t have done anymore to make the day memorable for everyone. A fantastic day out discovering this beautiful part of the country & definitely value for money. Even as a coeliac, I was more than looked after with full, safe gluten free options available.

Go on a day that’s not so cloudy
We went on a very cloudy day and the sea very very rough over to the island, so I feel we didn’t get the full colourful experience but the beach is amazing and you can loose yourself. Fab

Not eco friendly. Terrible uncontrolled destruction of the reef by guests onboard at the fringe reef
We did a full day trip including snorkeling at the fringe reef, and then on to Whitehaven Beach. Cannot fault the staff onboard, but our trip to the reef, was the most beautiful but most tragic thing to see. If you care about the survival of this beautiful reef I would NOT take this tour at all. How it is eco certified is frankly mind blowing. We had to sit back and watch people in our group destroy such absolutely beautiful and healthy coral - literally kicking it to pieces, while the staff (who didn’t like it either) were unable to stop them. We were so distressed to see this that I elected to get out of the water and get back on the boat. I felt awful. I immediately felt partially responsible for buying a ticket and being a part of this day trip at all. The company owners / management have no policy or procedente to pull these people out of the water. Why go there at all - if this is the destruction that’s happening in 1 day? Let alone every day, week, month and year. The staff were lovely and did seem to care but were powerless to do anything really except tell them to stop which they didn’t. To us it became apparent that the company focus at management level was making money despite what they know is happening, keeping the majority happy and just keep the tour there going. It’s clearly not enough to simply tell people to stop standing on the reef - whether they don’t understand or just won’t listen. They should be taken out of the water period. We were in the water about 20 minutes and watched what we would describe as a group of bulls in a china shop literally smashing off chunks of stag coral and stepping all over and standing on soft corals. It was so sad and distressing. Anyone that goes there will see what is happening. I was so horrified that I went and told the staff members there in the water - who asked them to stop, but they just kept doing it. Nobody seemed able to enforce or control anything. Everywhere you look you can see lots of broken coral on the sea floor. At this rate of destruction, there will be little left of it in no time at all. There is NO meaningful protection offered for this beautiful coral and delicate ecosystem. There were staff announcements on board telling everyone NOT to stand on, or touch the coral at all, but only in English. There needs to be better educational videos or other methods, and/ or announcements not only in English but in other languages as well. There needs to be written acknowledgements agreed to and signed that if you are unable to avoid damaging the coral you will be taken out of the water. If you can’t snorkel properly then you shouldn’t be allowed near a delicate ecosystem such as this. The staff on board went around making sure all our medical forms were completed and signed, but nothing like that about the protection for the coral / the reef. The water was so shallow that for anyone who doesn’t know how to snorkel, it was very difficult to avoid kicking the coral. Shouldn’t be there at low tide and perhaps flippers shouldn’t be allowed either. There needs to be policy introduced, and tougher enforcement of that policy. Unsurprisingly, the same people were vaping where they weren’t allowed. Staff had to repeatedly ask the same people multiple times to vape down the back. I personally cared a lot less about the vaping than the blatant uncontrollable damage to the coral. The focus seems to be on pumping out as many tours and making money, keeping them all happy regardless of what happens to the environment. What a shame because the staff were fantastic and really gave it their best. Management needs to get their act together to do something about this. Who will take a stand to protect this beautiful reef if they won’t?

      Cruise Whitsundays does not deliver
Travelled to Reefworld as the second leg of a Hamilton Island Air Fly/ Cruise. After a spectacular helicopter ride over the heart of the barrier reef, the experience deteriorated after landing at Reefworld. Overcrowded, with poor quality food and an inadequate facility for semi-submersible viewing the reef and observation of fish. The worse part however is the journey home back to Hamilton Island. You have to wait until 3.00 pm to depart and then travel for over 2 hours in a boat that is less comfortable than a ferry, navigating choppy waters. After a while some passengers started to feel sick. Staff do the best they can but the vessel itself is a most unpleasant experience.

Waste of money. Not a tour!!!!
Absolute lies! Not a tour. It’s an over priced taxi service that over sells more tickets than seats and ignores passengers standing for two hours. I am trying to lodge a complaint but no one interested. Don’t waste your money here! They don’t care.

Over priced, nowhere to sit, poor engagement. Try another company!
Not very impressed. Seems they over sold tickets and several people were left standing for about an hour without a single crew member offering assistance . The PA system up stairs does not work (or could not be heard). We had no idea there was afternoon tea being served so missed out. We had to change boats and very little coordination, instruction or interaction with staff. Basically an over priced ferry system to the beach. Would not use again. Whitehaven Beach was the only worthwhile part of this adventure. It was amazing!

      Wow, sooooooo BLUE & WHITE!
Firstly, apologies on the late review! However, we had a fantastic trip out to The Whitsunday Islands, weather perfect (though a bit more wind would have been good as we motored most of the way). Great stop off for reef snorkelling , with the crew well organised and attentive, ensuring everyone’s safety and insisting on everyone who wanted to go in the water wearing the stinger suits. After that more sailing/motoring, eating and drinking to the most amazing beach and sea views we have ever seen! Again the crew kept everyone safe and there was time to spend in the water on the beach of Whitehaven Bay. Be ready for boat transfers to and from the beach but the crew were ready to help out those that needed assistance and point out easier routes to the lookout, the climb up is relatively straight forward on paths but might be harder for those with some restrictions. Overall a great day out, well catered and refreshed! Thanks

We went in January which isnt meant to be the best time to go from what i heard but it was so clear and such a nice day. Went with my family and had an amazing time swimming around and exploring the beach. We avoided all the crowds as we went to the other end. Beach was amazing and i see why it was the 2nd best rated beach in the world at the time i went (today i think its rated number 1) how great is it to have something like this in Australia?

smooth ride on the boat i think about 30 mins from memory. Staff member tried to top me from taking photos on the beach of my family as they wanted me to pay for their photos which were not very good and they were very pushy. On the way back people where pushing to get onto the boat knocking my little sister over who was 7 and then had a fight over the free crackers like animals. The staff member came back and kept pushing us to buy the photos. Other than that it was really good and would say everyone should go here

Hamilton Island was fantastic, we hired a buggy and went around the island and then enjoyed the pools and beaches.

However the food at the fish and chips shop is terrible (popeyes) . Its a $15 voucher for a $190 cruise package. The food is a small portion and they don't have any other options for you to add on things. We even asked them to switch the chips for salad for dietary reason and they refused. Literally gave us a grilled fish in a box for lunch. Highly recommend this voucher change tk a other restaurant on the island.

Aside from that the crew were super friendly. They didn't have seasickness medication. Only the ginger option which we already had with us however some family members needed something stronger as it was a little rocky from Hamilton to Whitehaven beach.

Whitehaven is beautiful. Recommend you take snorkel gear and and umbrella as shadey spots are limited of your in a big group. The water is just beautiful to swim in and the crew had some beach activities and boards for you to paddle out on.

Arvo tea was good, they had some fruit and profiteroles along with some cheeses and meats. Made up for the poor lunch option.

Wish we had more time here. We leave early to then head back to Hamilton and day dream island for drop offs and pickups.

Overall a great experience. Just take some food and snacks as everything is quite pricey.

Whitehaven beach in our stinger suits in the pouring rain in 27 degree turquoise sea is a fantastic memory to take away.
Had a great day even though weather not ideal.
I’m sure if sun had shone it would have been even better. We did beach am and Hamilton island PM. As we didn’t actually know what or where to go when we got off ferry at Hamilton island I’d recommend a bit of research in advance. We thought we were in an American movie set as everyone wizzing around in beach buggies.

We booked Whitehaven beach and Hamilton Island with lunch. When I got on the catamaran I asked the lady what time does the catamaran leave Hamilton Island ,she said about 520. When we got to Hamilton Island from White Haven they told all of us to get off ,I asked the lady and said I’m supposed to have lunch here and then leave at 5:20 ,she says no you have to get on the next ferry going back which is in 10 minutes. We did that and came back but we knew that we were supposed to stay there but they gave us false information. That person they gave us the information worked for the people on the boat. I expect a discount on the ticket and money for lunch that’s all I’m asking to be fair.

Cruise Whitsundays supply a coloured itinerary for guests on the Whitehaven Beach and Hamilton Island day which helps the crew identify where you are meant to be going. I apologise if you were given incorrect information as to what was displayed on your tickets and itinerary.

The staff were friendly and professional. However, a lot of this day trip is travelling. It would be nice to have the days itinerary on the website so people are aware of this. It took us two hours and fifteen minutes on a boat to get to Whitehaven beach. We were on the beach for two hours with limited activities. There were four paddle boards, one volleyball net and one beach cricket set for the whole cruise to share. The cruise does supply free stinger suits so you are able to swim at the beach. Once we moved on to Hamilton island we were able to use our lunch voucher at the marina tavern. The tavern was very busy however so it took us about 40 minutes to receive our lunch. The tavern was almost completely full and there didn’t seem to be space for the amount of people coming from the cruise. As we were familiar with Hamilton island we knew the best places to go but people that are unfamiliar with the island may have felt lost. Hamilton island was beautiful and we ended up having about three hours to explore before heading back to Airlie Beach.

Basically you spent $189 for two way ferry tickets and one lunch meal.

    1) Starting from 7:30am, You’ll spend 2.5hr on boat, stopping by Hamilton and Day dream island waiting for other clients on board, before you arrive whitehaven beach, and will spend 2hr on beach only. No time for other spots.

    2) Then you back at 11:40am around, head to hamilton island for lunch and visiting there by yourself, before back to Airlie beach at 5:20pm.

    3) Lunch doesn’t include drink and is like 20$ worthy. Tastes pretty awful.
Morning tea/coffee and yogurt are available but nobody will remind u. You should ask others and go by yourself for food.

Many other tour people are on same boat. You’ll just be someone who take the boat and get a seat, not joining any tour.

Nobody will care you or lead your trip or giving u any info unless you ask the staff every time. I have to book this tour as other good ones are all booked up and I don’t have time staying here long.

For your reference, the other whithaven beach tour with tour guide, trekking and snorkeling activities, only costs $200 around. Do remember to book earlier for other good comments tour unless you’re as hurry as me and have no other choice.

I am sorry that you did not enjoy your Self Guided Whitehaven Beach and Hamilton Island Combo experience. We understand that self-guided experiences are not what everyone is looking for in a tour, however this is clearly indicated in marketing material with the other listed inclusions stating, up to two hours on Whitehaven Beach with stops along way at Daydream Island and Hamilton Island. Our team will provide you with a brief itinerary of events and suggest downloading the Hamilton Island App for further information. Announcements are made on the vessel to advise that Morning Tea is being served, lunch is offered at the Marina Tavern, however should you of booked the Whitehaven Beach Morning Tour and return transfers separately ($210 cost) you could of then chosen to lunch at any location on the island.

This trip is a self guided tour of Hamilton island and white haven beach so do your homework and understand what you’re getting. I would recommend doing white haven in the AM slot and Hamilton in PM as lunch is included on Hamilton and you will be rushed to have it before departure at 11.50 for the beach . The staff and facilities are great my only criticism is the lack of communication on where to go for lunch and what to do or where to swim ect on Hamilton
They also had a drinks package which we didn’t know about or told until latter in the day . They had 2 or 3 other trips on the same boat so everyone is put in different areas
Morning tea and the lunch was nice and fresh

I have taken your feedback on board and will be looking at including information about the Hamilton Island app on future tickets. We're glad you enjoyed your lunch and morning tea.

Beaches were lovely, staff were friendly, communication was poor however. Our tour was self guided but included food, we got no indication when the morning tea was available on the boat. A family in front of us went down and were told they would get called down when the food was ready, we never were. We had access to the resort facilities and bus transfers, again no communication on this. Found it a bit frustrating, although we loved the self guided element of deciding what we wanted to do,ore clarification on the inclusions would have been better, we felt very out of place and inconvenient for a lot of it

Very much disappointed, start the trip like, it’s not a cruise , it’s a ferry that go around the islands and pick up and drop people, so you stay more time in the boat than actually on he beach. When we arrived at white haven beach, it wasn’t where the famous outlook was, they stop by 11 km away from that, and because the time on the beach was 1:30, you don’t have time to walk until there. When the arrived at Hamilton Island, the staff there were rude and careless, they could give any information properly…. In general the staff are rude and careless, when you buy the tickets they give a general information, but the relevant information like the pick up and drop people all the time, in what resort can we stay , bus or wherever, it’s very hard to get information.

Thank you for providing your feedback. Cruise Whitsundays appreciates good and bad feedback so that we may have the opportunity to review and adjust to make the experience better for the next time you choose to travel. The Northern end look out over seeing the Hill Inlet with the swirling sands is only available on the Full Day Whitehaven Beach product. The half day product goes to the Southern end of Whitehaven Beach only. I am sorry if you booked the half day tour expecting to go the Northern end. Again thank you for your feedback, I will make sure all points regarding the staff are addressed.

half day to whitehaven from hamo on a rainy windy day .
To improve this experience , our group was left with only one choice to go or lose100%
(we were offered $10 extra cost to move our booking)
But as the weather was to get worst for the next few days this was not really an option.
We all understand staff costs etc , but we all would have pull the pin if we received 50% money back.
Pelting rain stinging your face was hardly a nice time. staff were great , but this tour should have not gone ahead.
We found out later that day the full day trip had been cancelled and full refund to all customers.

I am sorry to read that the weather was less than ideal on your recent Whitsundays visit. As one of the largest tourism providers in the region Cruise Whitsundays does have a reputation for persevering and operating in wet and and windy conditions. As guidance our terms and conditions do suggest all guests check the weather forecast in the lead up to their departure dates. Our Full Day Tour is operated on a smaller ancillary vessel and the decision to cancel this tour based on the safety on our gests on the smaller vessel. As our Half Day Tour Vessel is a large 240 seater it can safely navigate the ocean.
