The zip line was amazing. Ppl weee supper nice naserd help My kids so enjoyed so much and the worker treated them like their own kids.

We did 4 excursions with this company. 1) We swam in a waterfall, did a coffee/chocolate tour in the rain forest and had a traditional Costa Rican lunch then toured the rain forest. We saw sloths, tree frogs, tropical birds and a viper on tour. 2). We went white water rafting. Great experience 3). We took an evening boat tour. Saw sea turtles, dolphins, manna rays and did some snorkeling and saw schools of clownfish and other cool sea life and then an incredible sunset. 4). We spent 1/2 day boat trip to cocoa beach. Immersed in local culture did some shopping. Great way to end our trip All of these excursions were incredible. Big Papi and his team were extremely accommodating, organized, great tour guide’s especially Kevin and Randall on the boat tours. We would highly recommend this team. When you support Big Papi you support the local economy and grass roots families of Costa Rica. Pura Vida.

We met Big Papi on the beach at Planet Holywood resort. We were unsure if we should book with them or through the resort but we are glad we went with them. We wanted to support local small business people rather than the big corporate resort that already gets most of the business. They took us to smaller, family/local run places that the bigger tours don't go to. We skipped the crowds and met nice, local people. We did 2 excursions: the ATV tour and a rainforest/wildlife/coffee/chocolate tour. Both were excellent! Tour guides Alex and Fernando were very friendly and informative. When we had a misunderstanding about the rainforest tour, Big Papi handled it professionally and honestly. Some of our family came down with gastrovirus and we had to defer the ATV tour for a couple days. Again, Big Papi rebooked it without hassle or extra charge. We would totally recommend Big Papi/Alex on the Beach to anyone for booking excursions. Thank you Big Papi for a great experience!

Wow! Wow! Wow! What a great adventure! We booked with Big Papi who was so helpful. He worked with us on our excursion. We had a family of seven people. He answered all our questions and made suggestions because we all had opinions on where to go. We chose white water rafting and the waterfall. We were served lunch- which was delicious right by the river. Big Papi arranged everything for us. We just had to show up in the lobby at a certain time. Alex and Michael (his son) with “Alexonthebeach” were our transportation to and from our adventure…. I should say they were our tour guides, photographers, historians, and friends. We needed to get watershoes for the rafting. He took us to a local market where we were able to get them at a reasonable price. On the way were talking about coffee cause Costa Rica grow the beans and are known for amazing coffee. At this market Alex brought me to another part of the market and they had a variety of coffee. Seriously so good! I left my glasses in the van. He messaged me this morning that he would bring them to hotel, which was very generous. If you go to Costa Rica, definitely request Big Papi and Alex for the tour.

This was a great experience, so much fun. We got to see the Howler monkeys and the guides were really good. They even stopped to take great photos for you. Strongly recommend this tour. Just don’t wear white trainers as it’s a bit muddy in parts.

We had an amazing time on the Wildlife & Chocolate and Coffee tour! Alex our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Costa Rica. We visited several exotic points of interest and saw beautiful animals and wildlife along the way. I highly recommend this tour and ensuring you request Alex as your guide!

We went on the Waterfall, Wild Life and Chocolate tour. Our tour guide, Alex, shared his vast knowledge of Costa Rica, the Rain Forest, and its wildlife. He took his time with us and answered all of our questions. The scenery was breathtaking! I highly recommend Alex as your tour guide.

We met Big Pappi during our stay at Planet Hollywood Costa Rica. We were looking for the right balance between relaxing at the resort as well as exploring the beauty of the region. He curated the perfect itinerary for us beginning with a private 3 hour boat tour where we fished, snorkeled, saw caves and beautiful beaches. We also booked a full day private tour to explore the diversity of the rainforest, horseback riding, swam in beautiful natural pools next to waterfalls, visited hot springs, volcanoes, exotic wildlife (sloths, frogs, birds, snakes ), natural mud baths and saunas. Our tour guide Alex was amazing and we highly recommend asking for Alex when booking this tour. Alex went out of his way to explain many details at every opportunity and site we visited. He also reached out to his network of fellow tour guides to ensure we tracked down the best place to spot sloths up close. He never rushed us and answered all our questions with his vast knowledge of the region (at the same time keeping everything on schedule). We are grateful to have met Big Pappi and Alex during our trip and strongly recommended you connect with them while visiting Costa Rica

We met Carlos and Erian the first day of our stay at Planet Hollywood Costa Rica. They were super friendly even though we were clear that we didn't really plan on any adventures this trip - we wanted to eat, drink, and be lazy at the resort. We passed them on the way to the beach several times throughout our stay, and we chatted each time. No pressure to book anything, just chatting. They even took the time to show us where the monkeys hang out. True to our plans, we never booked any adventure, but I would not hesitate to book with these guys if we were feeling adventurous. We had a great time exploring the Costa Rican terrain during our ATV tour! Our tour guide was awesome. He made sure we had time to take pictures of the beautiful scenery and native animals, while also making sure we were well prepared to handle the ATVs. This was a great experience and we’d likely book again!

This was a private 3 hour boat tour. We booked it through Aron the big Papi. It was an amazing trip where my wife and I were able to see tons of different wildlife, including Pelican, dolphins with there baby, flying fish, different birds, fish and of course sea turtles. We set off to monkey head Island, then headed to a spectacular beach. I suggest trying to book low tide so the guide can bring you into the caves it is a wonderful experience. From here we did a short hike up a cliff. It was intimidating at first but very manageable. The view was definitely worth it. When we got down we had the option to swim on this beautiful beach. We decided not to, but choose what suits you best. From here we did a little bit of fishing around monkey head Island. Unfortunately we didn't catch anything but the experience was cool. Then off we went to the snorkeling area. There was coral with a ton of fish. This is where we were able to swim with the sea turtles. In total we saw at least 10. Yes 10. It was amazing. Our guides Mario and Valeria Lopez let us snorkel a bit longer, I think we this was due to not swimming on the beach. All in all a fantastic experience. I would like to thank our guides Mario and Valeria Lopez, Aron the big Papi, and Alex on the beach for this great Adventure.

Such a great tour! This was my second tour booking with Big Papi. We did a 3 hour private boat ride and visited different beautiful beaches! If you’re lucky you can see some whales as well!! Huge thank you to Pipa and El Negro for making our tour so easy and fun! They made sure my daughter was good the whole time which is awesome! After we swam we came back up to some delicious pineapple! Do not hesitate to book with them! They are ALL awesome!
