Overall the process was smooth to find the yacht, we appreciated the quick response from Nat and Anita was a lovely guide and we learned alot about the environment, history and geography. The kids loved the kayaks, snorkelling and exploring and being on the yacht overall. I would recommend taking some extra food if you have growing children as the food was a bit limited for a full day of activities considering the price - fine for adults but growing children got off and were starving.

We were met by Ralph and Anita who made the entire trip a memory for us to treasure. We sailed to the first bay where they took us ashore to climb the outlook post and then into a second bay where we were given a delicious wrap for lunch. My boys (21, 19 and 16) were allowed to steer the yacht, explore the islands, kyack and snorkel. It was bliss. Would thoroughly recommend.

This was a dream tour!!! Perfect in every way. Nat and Raif were professional, friendly, and informative. It is clear they love what they do. The sailing was smooth. The prepared lunch healthy and tasty! I would highly recommend this group- worth every penny. Thanks for making our day so memorable!

This was a fabulous experience. We were a group of 10 friends so we could book out for ourselves. Friendly and knowledgeable crew (Nat and Anita) mixed sailing with history and tourist advice. We snorkled, kayaked, hiked, and sailed. Perfect lunch of fresh wraps and coffee, followed by a wonderful sail back to Russell.

Exactly what we wanted for a day on the water sailing the islands, with snorkelling, kayaking and an excellent lunch, as well as even getting to steer the boat. Easy-going but professional crew, and Nat and Anita were excellent company. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic day sailing on Vigilant with Nat & Dallas, they showed us around the BOI with a chance to swim, snorkel, kayak & hike one of islands and some sailing if the wind picks up. We were lucky enough to see some dolphins, penguins, baby hammerhead shark, mako shark & stingray on our snorkel!

Absolutely a memory of a lifetime. The whole adventure from leaving the dock and returning is something you won’t forget. We couldn’t have asked for more.

Wonderful way to experience the bay. Small group size so didn't feel squished on the boat. Lunch was delicious!!

Nat and Anita were great hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our day which had lots of sunshine followed by lots of wind and even a dolphin sighting! Lovely lunch prepared by Anita…recommend if its a hot day to bring a beer or some wine to set the tone for the lovely sail back to Russell.

We had a great day out - Nat (skipper) and Dallas (crew) were very welcoming, chilled, and very proficient. Beautiful weather and water topped it off. Fun and lovely to experience the beautiful BOI on the water.

I have spent many hours on the bay of Islands waters , motoring around on power driven vessels, I recently decided to take the opportunity to do things a little differently and Im very glad it did, Nat and her crew on vigilant were amazing hosts, and nothing gives you the chance to appreciate being on the water more than gracefully gliding through it under the power of her sails the lack of an engine rumble means you can hear birds singing on the islands as you go by, and if you're lucky enough to be visited by them the splashes of dolphins. Not to mention a lovely stop over in a quiet bay away from the masses, with the opportunity to go for a bush walk, kayak or snorkel, and chill in the shade of a beautiful Pohutakawa tree. We also have did this trip with three children under 7 and the vigilant team lived up to her name and kept a watch on them. In summary if you want to get a feel for the Bay of Islands this is the charter for you!

Nat, our Catptain and Anita, her first mate We’re great at showing us the Bay of Islands. The islands and scenery are spectacularly beautiful to see both from the water and our excursion/snorkeling trip on land. I can say without reservation a good time was had by all on board Vigiland that day.

Once again we had a fabulous day out on the water with Vigilant, our 4th trip on the boat over many years !! The weather was perfect, Natalie & Anita looked after us all, with attention to everyone’s needs. We can fully recommend a day out with these guys.
