About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- M7677LWhelent0 contributionsAmazing experience not to be missed! What an amazing day!! First a visit and coffee tasting at Yahava Koffeeworks before we ventured into Mammoth Caves. How awesome was that!! A visit to a local winery, McHenry Hohnen was most informative followed by with wine tasting and a luxurious three-course lunch at Vasse Felix. After lunch a compulsory visit to Margaret River Chocolate Factory and finishing the day with a visit to a local brewery. A wonderful day was had by our small group of 4. Indulgent and discovery says it all. Highly recommend this tour.Written 28 October 2024
- X6529UDsandyb0 contributionsGirls tripSecond time we have taken this tour - was as friendly and informative as it was 4 years ago - both Trudy and Steve are super helpful - we were on a girls trip and it made it a super easy and fun day.Written 17 October 2024
- Maxeen_lee0 contributionsFantastic dayI booked this tour with my two friends and we were not disappointed. From the ease of booking online, organising finer details with Trudy over the phone, then Clarice picking us up/dropping us to our accommodation. It was easy! Clarice was a wealth of knowledge, flexible, friendly ,fun, accommodating and patient. The small group of 11 people was awesome. A diverse, interesting and interactive group but so much fun. We went to some amazing wineries and the Margaret river chocolate factory. The day went so smoothly and was really informative. Awesome lunch and highly recommend this tour. We will definitely be doing it again. Thanks Clarice and Harvest tours for a great day!Written 12 October 2024
- donnacS3152LM0 contributionsTop pick, recommend the premium wine tourAmazing day… we ended up with a private tour just for the 2 of us. Choice of wineries was amazing, especially 3 course lunch and 2 matching wines. Lots of info about the region. Collected us from our accommodation in Busselton.Written 5 October 2024
- DavidMXXXXXXXXXX0 contributionsA first class experienceA group of 5 completed the wine tour in September 24. The pick up went well as did the return to our accommodation. The bus was comfortable and operator knowledgeable. The wineries and lunch 1st class, Especially the visit to Brown Hill Estate. Overall recommended.Written 1 October 2024
- penalanc0 contributionsGood experience, but the service needs a little refinement. This was a good experience, Steve was a very knowledgeable tour guide. There was certainly a variety of things to see and do. The cave was a real highlight! The tour was spoiled a little by two things. There was just too much to do in one day, a few less stops would have been more manageable as we were exhausted by the end. Further, we had to pay an extra $30 as the accommodation was outside the free pick up area. I booked the tour before the accommodation and chose from the options listed for pick up. No mention was made of a free pick up area. When I questioned this, the operator was quite inappropriate and accusatory, explaining that this was because we had "chosen not to support small business" and booked through Viatour rather than direct with Harvest tours. We were quite upset by this and felt it was uncalled for.Written 21 September 2024
- 606JohnW0 contributionsWonderful daySimply brilliant, what a great day, the wineries, the food, the beer, the chocolate- I just need a couple of hours for everything to go down. Didn’t need dinner, we simply had a great day. Our driver was helpful and very informative (and totally safe). The wineries we visited were great, we had a magnificent lunch and managed to end the day with a cleansing ale at a fantastic little brewery. I don’t know how many companies provided these tours, but all I can say is these guys were great.Written 3 September 2024
- Velluto1000 contributionsBest wine tour ever! RecommendedOut of season we had a private tour, i.e we were the only two booked on the tour. We loved every minute. Tastings were paid for as part of the tour so no pressure for sales. The premium wineries of the region, Cape Mentell, Howard Park and Vasse Felix. We were able to taste the styles we liked, and given tastings of wines not generally available. Not cheap but worth every penny. Lunch included.Written 30 August 2024
- christopherwN4420SM0 contributionsGreat coverage of the Margaret River areaMy wife and I did the tour with Steve. Steve was knowledgeable about the area making suggestions about what to see and do. We were also able to modify the tour to meet our interests. Overall I feel this tour gave us a good understanding of the area.Written 27 July 2024
- Obbexbate0 contributionsFabulous and forty full day tourWe had a fantastic full day tour guided by Clarice. It was a jam-packed day with a good mix of food and wine. - OnAir368588663290 contributionsHarvest Tour ExperienceWe were lucky enough to be the only couple touring on this day....Our tour guide was Clarece, she was fantastic! So knowledgeable and fiercely passionate about Western Australia, the wine making history and culture. We visited at the Coffee Cafe and were treated to a knowledgeable discussion about the process and some special treats. Then some winery visits and extraordinary tastings. Our lunch at Vasse Felix was exceptional and included in our tour price. I thoroughly recommend the tour and if you are lucky enough to have Clarece as your guide you are in for a wonderful experience with her amazing knowledge and heartfelt recommendations!Written 14 June 2024

- 270sallys0 contributionsFabulous tour! The day was amazing! There were just 7 people and our guide, Steve. Steve was great and very informative, he never made us feel rushed even when we were getting behind schedule chatting and asking questions. We got to taste many premium wines and learnt lots about them and the region. The food at Vasse Felix was outstanding and the coffee and gin tasting added the perfect variety to a really enjoyable and memorable day.Written 1 May 2024
- bonypike0 contributionsAn outstanding dayThis tour was outstanding and one I couldn’t recommend highly enough. Very informative guide in Steve who was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also full of positivity about the region. The choice of wineries was great. Lunch at Vasse Felix was outstanding. Plenty of time. Not rushed. And Steve even went out of his way to find us kangaroos. A great day.Written 11 March 2024

I’m not a wine tour kind of person usually, I like to do my own thing but this has changed my view in them.
Absolutely fantastic day out. Steve is knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and just an all round nice guy.
Small group of 9 people. Wineries mixed with other local businesses and a lovely lunch at Flutes.
Was a bit concerned about the amount of time thinking it was just going to be a bunch of drunk people but I was wrong.
The tastings are spread out and we got to spend a good amount of time at each place learning about the wine, the wine making, the property etc
Brown Hill Estate was a perfect place to start and we met the wine maker Gus who took us through our experience with humor and a lot of interesting information. This guy knows what he’s talking about and it shows in his product.
It was great to be with a tour operator that cares about the region, the community and sustainability.
Highly recommend.

Many thanks to Our guide Steve, the helpful Harvest Tours Office staff, the establishments we visited and our fun fellow travellers for a superb full day out and about in the beautiful Margaret River region!
We took this $115 pp tour with a free pick up from from DunsBorough on Friday 10 July 2020. If you are hesitating because, like us, you are West Australians with your own car who have done many self-driven winery tours... don’t! It was so good to give my hubby, who usually volunteers as skipper, a day off to enjoy the region’s delights in full. The tour is brilliant - worth every cent.
Steve is a great guy and shared so many interesting details about his region and it’s sustainable focus. The wineries were excellent- highlights being zither tasting led by (An)Gus at Brown Hill Wineries and lunch at Flutes (a huge hit)!
Highly recommended 😀🥂👍💕

Trudy called us the day before and arranged the pickup time. We were picked up by Steve in a very modern small bus right at the agreed time.
We visited all the places on the itinerary and all were really good. Coffee tasting unique and terrific - Smallgoods tasting and wines were great.
Small group only 10. Steve personally knew all the winery owners or staff and he really looked after us. Wonderful informative commentary.
This company are ethical and professional. Highly recommend.

There were 5 of us in our group and we were joined by one other couple which made the trip really friendly and intimate. Steve was extremely knowledgable and a good laugh. It was mum and dads wedding anniversary and he helped them celebrate in style.
This is a great way to taste the different wines, chocolates, cheeses and not to forget coffee (I tried iced coffee despite believing I didn’t like it..... and am now converted) from The Margaret River region. This is a must do tour if you are interested in any of these things. We felt it was great value for money especially with the delicious lunch that is included.

What a wonderful experience we had with harvest tours! Good selection of wineries, we tasted some of expensive wines at Brown Hill and also tasted those “off the shelf” wines including vegan wine at McHenry Hohnen. We had an amazing lunch at flutes restaurant which is in Brookland Valley estate however, they only let us tasted cheap wines on that winery.
Trudy was great, easy to communicate with when we booked our tour. Clarice, who was our tour guide/driver on the day, she is lovely and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend booking with harvest tours, one of the best wine tours I experienced and my family really enjoyed the day.

We were picked up at our accommodation at the stated time by our excellent driver and tour guide Steve and then started a really great day out. Steve was very friendly and so knowledgeable about the area, the places we visited and the produce they made. At no time did we feel rushed and we had enough time at each port of call to taste, listen and explore. An extremely tasty two course lunch was included which made the whole experience excellent value for money. We would highly recommend this tour to everyone .

We booked onto this tour as we liked the look of the wineries it took us to, with a focus on organic and biodiversity vineyards. The wine we had was all brilliant, plus as we aren’t experts all of our questions were answered by a very knowledgable guide, Steve and all the winery owners. The lunch we had at the restaurant was also fantastic!
A lot of the tour can change depending on time and what places are opened but we also got to go to a chocolatier, a cheese place and have a beer at the brewery, he even took us to a lovely spot by the beach for an amazing view over the Indian Ocean. Even though once place was unexpectedly closed our guide made sure we went somewhere else instead. Can’t recommend this tour enough, great way to get a feel for the Margaret river region.

Hands down the best wine tour we have ever done. Our guide Clarise was so knowledgeable and just all round amazing from every aspect. This wasn't just a wine tour. The lunch that was included in this package was huge and so tasty. There was wine, food, chocolates, coffee beans, soaps, skin care products, olives, beer and everything in between included in this massive day touring around the beatiful Margaret River region with such a cool host educating us on all of the above as we were travelling around. This package was a full 10 hours and so much value for the money spent, even just the lunch alone I feel is worth a large portion of this tours price tag. I have done a fair few wine tours in Margaret River and this is 100% the best one to date.
Highly highly recommend this tour, we will definitely be back again to do another tour with this family operated tour company.

We found the overall tour enjoyable but aspects were disappointing. We enjoyed the Koffee works to starts the day. We were disappointed at the first wine tasting as we were expecting a beautiful vineyard (as advertised) but were told that this was under construction and instead got taken to a a ‘temporary cellar door’ situated on the side of a main road which was very underwhelming with lots of background noise and not at all scenic! I felt as though we should have been taken to an alternative vineyard to start the tour but learnt that it was owned by the same family as the tour! The ‘meat and cheese’ pairing here was also not worth mentioning! The wine tasting itself was enjoyable as was the second wine tasting and the lunch. However, we felt as though we were discouraged from doing the wine tasting after the lunch as scheduled and rushed on to the next place which was very disappointing as we had paid for this in the tour! The second half of the tour was also underwhelming as we were taken to two very touristy shops (the chocolate factory and vass virgin shop) and just left to our own devices. The final tour stop at the brewery was more of a restaurant than a brewery and, again, we were just left to our own devices. Overall the tour was enjoyable but given that it was advertised as a ‘wine tour’ we only visited one actual vineyard! It should be advertised more as a tourist tour. Not sure I would recommend.

Thank you for taking time to provide your feedback. Whilst we find your comments disappointing please note this tour is a snapshot of the region and your expectations far exceed what is advertised on Viator. The first cellar door is certainly their temporary space whilst their new cellar door/restaurant is being built, it is tastefully renovated and rustic. The meat/cheese offering is complimentary! Please note we do not own the first winery you visited - not sure why you thought this? The vineyard mentioned in the Viator description of the tour was your second winery. I am not sure why you felt you were discouraged from wine tasting after lunch as we are proud of all the region has to offer and certainly all the vendors on this tour. The Chocolate Factory and Vasse Virgin Factory are stand alone popular venues in the region - we give our guests time to explore. Your last stop would of been the distillery/tavern to purchase a cleansing ale - the weather was very warm so always a nice way to end the day - we do leave you to enjoy your final drink with the new friends you have made during the day !!
