Pink Lake and Abrolhos Flyover Tour

By Fly Gero
About
The Pink Lake and Abrolhos Islands are two unique natural wonders located in Western Australia, each with their own distinct features. The Pink Lake, is unique because of its vivid pink hue caused by the presence of Dunaliella salina, algae that produces a red pigment called beta-carotene. This algae thrives in high-salinity environments, which contributes to the unique colour of the lake. The calm, still waters of the lake create a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. The Abrolhos Islands, on the other hand, are a chain of 122 coral islands located off the coast of Western Australia. They are unique for their remote location and pristine coral reefs, which support a diverse array of marine life. The islands are also famous for their historical significance, as they were the site of the Batavia shipwreck in 1629. Overall, both the Pink Lake and Abrolhos Islands are wonders that offer visitors a glimpse into the diverse and beautiful landscapes of Western Australia.

      NO NOT BOOK WITH FLYGERO
DO NOT USE BOOK WITH FLYGERO. The business no longer operates. We arrived to take our tour but the terminal was locked and the business operator was uncontactable. I have been unable to obtain a refund for my tour so am out of pocket nearly $900.

      Amazing Service
I can't praise these guys highly enough. We had a wonderful full day excursion with snorkelking and guided walks on the Abrolhos. The scenic flight over was awe inspiring, probably the highlight of our month long trip around Australia. We were taken over the wreck site of the Batavia, some of the reefs, the settlements and just wonderful scenery. The beach stop was lovely with excellent snorkelling. Our guide Brenton was superb, a very nice guy and the consummate professional. Thanks for everything!

The Abrolhos Islands, what a great day.
Wow, what a wonderful day, just made by the whether. Fantastic scenery, snokling, bush walk, a great morning tea. Relax on the beach. Add a stone to the pile , wallabies. A photographer dream. Wonderful history. Our pilot Reece was wonderful. All safety measures explained and adhered to were very informative and made us relaxed in a small plane that we weren't used to. Lockie for the wonderful and story of the Batavia, the shipwreck. Great company to fly with. Thankyou Reece.
