Loved the Hot Springs, but never eat here
We loved the hot springs, went twice. The early morning session was the best as hardly any punters there. The staff were all accommodating and friendly. But there are very annoying and petty costs like parking and locker hire on our second hot springs visit, check the price of everything before you ask. The big warning is the breakfast, not a great spread at the best of times, but at 9 am, everything was cold,it was terrible. The barrister coffee was good, but that doesn't come with breakfast.

      Fab hot springs!!
Beautiful outdoor hot springs various tempratures and ambience, sounds and lights in different caves/springs really add to the whole experience. It was a full sensory experience. It was very relaxing & very upmarket and it wasn't too busy. Loads of comfy chairs and big bean bags to relax on and water fountains dotted out. You can pay to hire robes, lockers and towels or bring your own. Staff very friendly.

      Wonderful twilight experience
Went for the 3hour twilight session. Had a wonderful time exploring all 18 springs of varying temperatures and therapeutic qualities. The twilight session is beautifully lit and many of the springs are in caves which offer protection from the Warrnambool winter winds! Lovely experience, far better than I expected, made all the better by friendly staff. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys hot springs.

Incredible discovery in our own backyard in beautiful Warrnambool
This was such an amazing discovery! I loved the outdoor springs precinct it has been thoughtfully designed and planned out and the cost and structure of the visits/sessions are very reasonable. I feel that you could event charge a little more once you hit your 12-month milestone and have more visitor volume. I loved the ambient music, the garden setting etc. My only tiny suggestion would be to have some information scattered around the garden giving some more in-depth info about thermal springs, the how and why science of it - could be great for children too, (maybe a family night tour people can take with a guide discussing and an Indigenous version as well. Any info should include details about how the local Indigenous people used the springs many thousands of years ago before white settlement and some of the history of how settlers incorporated them in their lives (if they did). Overall an incredible amenity that needs to be explored further and exploited for the public to understand and enjoy; more people should know about here and for overseas markets - like the Japanese Onsen which people flock to the world over. I'd get the hotel communications/PR team to do some more promotion of it, as not many people know about it - even Victorians.

      Hot Springs
This was the best part of my trip, hot springs and total relaxation, there was so many hot springs to walk around and sit in that at one stage, I was confused lol… The area was kept in nice order and there was plenty of lounges to lay on too… We did as the weather was so beautiful this day, We actually got a little tan to show for our two hrs in the springs.

      Relax yourself
Had a delightful two-day stay with my partner at the hotel. The room had a stunning sea view, was spacious, and beautifully decorated. The breakfast buffet was top-notch. The highlight was the spa with its caves and natural thermal baths. We also tried the salt therapy session, which was so relaxing that we ended up dozing off. Extremely pleased and thoroughly relaxed.

      Private pool or hidden dungeon?
Lovely staff and overall a nice experience but I must mention the shock and underwhelm I felt as I entered the private hot pool my friend and I booked. This room felt more like a dungeon with a total lack of any attempt at making the decor and ambience feel serene. The pool itself looked more like a dark, rusty farm trough. Not at all inviting! I don’t know why they wouldn’t have tiled up over the exposed concrete walls or continued the exposed aggregate that was underneath the water. Some artificial plants too would give it some life and add a feeling of being with nature. Really quite shocking as the staff were fantastic and the spa treatments I had afterwards were beautiful. Please just work on the private pool setting as my friend and I felt hidden away and not in a good way!

I’ve been a few times with various people. I thought it might be a nice thing to do with my 8&5 yos. They absolutely loved it. Such a nice thing to do with them!

      Cold costumer service
I booked a 2 hour session on a Saturday with a friend. First of all, they took a weird pre-authorisation that resulted me in being charged twice for a short time. Then came the waiver that had to be signed that was sent out the day before; not sure why this waiver couldn't have been done at time of booking. We were excited to attend these hot springs after attending the Peninsula Hot Springs (mostly the Dream Centre) several times. On our arrival, we were greeted by a staff member yelling at us for briefly walking on some bark next to the concrete path to avoid a large puddle whilst it was pouring rain. NB: the path leads directly onto the road, but not the carpark? She then ignored us when we came up to the desk! The other staff member then asked us if we had been there before, which we replied, "No". He then handed us a robe, towel and a locker wristband with a brief explanation of how to use it and pointed us towards the change room with nil further explanation. Once changed and figured out how to get outside to the pools, it was still raining and all hangers available were exposed to the rain, so we had to place them on the ground under a shelter full of bean bags. The springs were nice enough but the environment was so odd! There were quite a few large groups so it got quite noisy, exacerbated by being surrounded by concrete. There was also an ominous red digital clock affixed to the wall to remind you that your time was running out and a few people using phones and taking selfies, which seemed off for a relaxing environment. It felt more like a kids water park than a relaxing hot springs experience. We left around 90 minutes in as we had been in all of the different pools and it was getting very crowded in the pools. The showers were warm/cool enough but there was no body wash, shampoo or conditioner. I did appreciate the swimsuit spinner to wring off the extra water and accessible bins to drop off robes & towels.

      Pleasantly surprised
really nice clean springs. We booked the 3 hr evening session. On arrival we check in and waited in the foyer for 6pm . We then proceeded to the change rooms, lockers, shower area etc. Once changed, we proceeded to the outdoor area, which was really nice, visually appealing, clean and inviting. We tried the different springs all marked with the temp and depth. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Definitely will be returning with my elderly mum. Towels and robes available for hire. Make sure you book a session as there is a cap and people had been turned away when we were there. We didn't stay the 3 hours as we wanted food and left after 1.5 hrs. Still well worth it.

Take a moment to experience the calm...
Calming from the moment you walk into reception. The staff are very friendly and took a short time to explain the hot springs; 15 odd pools including a cold plunge (with a couple of new additions still coming), with a variety of cave and open-air pools. We took our own robes and towels, hung them on the provided hooks located throughout the hot springs, and just walked around in our bathing suits. Though a cold night, each pool provided plenty of warmth, and we didn't really feel the 9° chill of the air. At the end of the day, the springs are what you make them; if you can close your eyes, relax, and maybe meditate, you will find that the experience is well worth the money.* There were approximately 35 people in the springs on our night, so definitely wasn't too busy or crowded, but definitely wouldn't want to be there on a busy day. **We were not silly when we planned our trip to the hot springs; Wednesday - Saturday 6-9pm is 16+ years old ONLY.

My hoomans had a wonderful evening soak in the hot spring pools.
For a small extra cost they hired robes and a locker to store their valuables in, but took their own towels. (Towels can also be hired)
The evening session is adults only which was perfect for them….. I didn’t go because I’m not waterproof 😉
There are several pools of varying depths and temperatures with a sign on each so you can decide before entering.
They have built a nice natural rock look setting with little secluded caves including romantic lighting and waterfalls for people who want to hide away to soak. There is also a 10° plunge pool for the brave!
My hoomans enjoyed meeting fellow guests and brief chats when sharing a pool.
Afterwards, there are huge clean showers and change room cubicles to prepare again for the outside world.
This was a great experience and we would do it again!…. (well they would)😉

Thank you for sharing your delightful review! We're thrilled to hear that your "hoomans" had a wonderful evening soaking in our hot spring pools. We're glad they found the robes and locker hire convenient and appreciated the adults-only evening session. It's great to know they enjoyed the variety of pools, lighting, and secluded caves. We're also pleased that they braved the cold plunge pool and had pleasant interactions with fellow guests. We're happy they found our showers and changing facilities clean and spacious. We look forward to welcoming them back for another great experience soon! (And we'll be sure to keep things dry for you! 😉)

Went there for a work related visit. The building and staff are clean and very tidy. Quite a welcoming environment. Loved that there was family groups. Only thing is I wish they had a 'quiet' booking time during the day which could be more suitable for people with disabilities. I have a family myself so I understand they are noisy, but there might be some people who need a quieter setting.

We went on the evening 6-9pm time slot, we hired one of the lockers, spent about 90 minutes in the pool. It was busy during the Xmas new year period but still ok with people spreading around the different pools. I like coming here mid winter when it’s a bit cooler and dark. It seems a little bit less busy and with darkness the lights sounds and pools light up better

My husband and I went to the 3.30 session. Unfortunately I thought that it was not value for money. First, web site says it cost $33 each, but receptionist charged us $46. I queried this and she said morning sessions are $33.00 only. They should have all the prices for all sessions on website. The change room is co-ed. There is no shampoo or soap for showers afterwards. Guests are kept waiting in reception room until exactly 3.30 pm. Then everyone rushed through together. It was very unappealing. Guests should be allowed to use change rooms prior to session. Then it would feel much more relaxed, as it should being a health spa.

It took me a while to find my zen this morning, due to noisy plant machinery operating nearby the metal tub pools, the music helped drown out some of the generator noise; after about an hour I eventually found my zen. At alba springs and other establishments it takes me maybe ten minutes to relax.

Staff are lovely and facilities are clean.

The experience is average overall, but can be improved significantly for guests by just including a simple towel and robe in with the entry price, as it makes for a more luxurious experience, no body wash or shampoo either just makes the experience feel very cheap, it’s not a memorable experience for me, as it doesn’t feel like a retreat. Also giving couples one locker between two just feels very restrictive, it wasn’t all that busy.

I have never been to a spa facility where body wash is not included.

You have to walk on grass to get to the sun loungers, why not just deck the sun lounger area, I imagine it would make the locker room easier to clean and avoids soil from being dragged from outside into the changing area.

I do however feel the 2 hour time limit ( normally) would be adequate as all of the pools are in close proximity, I was done in an 1 hour and 36 minutes.

I see a lot of comments regarding the soap/ shampoo or lack off, so hopefully management takes note.

Spoke to someone via their phone line about 2 months ago regarding a booking. Was told to wait to book until prior due to unsure times. Booked on the day like advised by their staff on trip advisor and called 5 mins after to say they were full and cancelling my visit. Due to it being less than 24 hours no immediate refund and have to go through the trip advisor to gain it back.
Really disappointed and the staff were quick to hang up the phone without any help.
Couldn’t give 0 as never got to go

Nestled along the picturesque coastline of Warrnambool, Deep Blue Hot Springs is a sanctuary of relaxation and revitalization that exceeded all expectations. My recent visit to this haven left an indelible impression on me, offering a perfect blend of tranquility, luxury, and natural beauty.

From the moment I entered the stunning facility, I was transported into a world of serenity. The sleek and contemporary design seamlessly merges with the surrounding landscape, creating an atmosphere of modern comfort that pays homage to the coastal beauty of Warrnambool.

The jewel in the crown is undoubtedly the collection of hot springs. With a diverse range of pools, each maintained at distinct temperatures and enriched with mineral goodness, I found myself embarking on a journey of relaxation and wellness. The therapeutic benefits of the mineral-rich water were evident as I immersed myself in the warmth and felt tension melt away from my muscles.

Equally enticing are the indoor facilities, complete with saunas and steam rooms, which provide an alternative space to unwind and rejuvenate.

The attention to detail is exceptional at Deep Blue Hot Springs. Impeccably clean changing rooms, attentive staff, and a thoughtfully curated relaxation area contribute to an overall feeling of luxury. The provision of robes, towels, and even refreshments create a sense of indulgence that elevates the experience.

For those who value holistic well-being, Deep Blue Hot Springs offers more than just pools. The onsite spa services provide an array of treatments designed to soothe both body and mind. Whether indulging in a massage, a facial, or other therapeutic offerings, I found these treatments to be the perfect complement to the hot springs experience.

Our family of 5 really enjoyed the hot springs, my wife said it was the highlight of her birthday. BUT we all thought the breakfast package was a disappointment. We had been looking forward to the whole experience, but felt it got off to a bad start. A very average 3* hotel breakfast. We would have been better off having breakfast at our accommodation. Our program included lunch at Waves but we skipped that and went down the road to Pavilion Cafe where we enjoyed a nice meal in a great environment.

Deep blue hot springs was a peaceful and relaxing experience. For around $50 per person it is quite pricey, but it was worth it. 2 hours in the deep blue hot springs was relaxing and the minerals were very nice. But, the reality is that there were too many people in at once. For example in the cold pool for 4 people, there were over 8 people in it. This seemed a bit like profit maximisation, but the relaxing experience made up for it.

Really Disappointing. Paid over $ 900 for a 2 night stay just for the room. One lift was out of action and staff suggested to use the stairs to the 4th floor despite having a bad knee. Sauna was out of action something I asked about the use of when booking. Breakfast was very average and extra to the room charges. The pastries all looked anemic, staff had placed a sign on the wall not to put them in the toasting machine as obviously guests felt the need to do.
Espresso coffee was extra ,coffee provided with the buffet was terrible. Gown for the thermal area was extra. Lockers were extra. Tried to bring a cloth bag in that I could hang on the hook in the spa are to keep my glasses and room key but was forced to place them in the change rooms. Staff allow visitors to keep towels and belongings on the lounge beds so there is no area to relax. I raised the issues with the front desk only to be told "Sorry"

Hi tduoz, Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback about your recent stay with us. We sincerely apologise for the disappointments you experienced during your time here, and we appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. We are truly sorry to hear about the inconvenience caused by the out-of-order lift. The issues with the sauna and breakfast standards are equally concerning. We apologise for any miscommunication regarding the sauna availability, and we will work on addressing the quality of our breakfast offerings. Your comments about the coffee, pastries, and additional charges have been noted, and we will review these aspects to provide a more satisfying experience for our guests. We assure you that your concerns will be shared with the relevant departments to implement necessary changes and improvements. We value your input, and we hope to have the opportunity to make amends and provide you with a more positive experience in the future.
