    A cruise to remember
Really enjoyed this fabulous river cruise of Tamar Valley and Cataract Gorge. The crew were amazing and Captain Callum has a wealth of knowledge about the local area. Service on board was exceptional. Abundance of food and local wine / beer tasting an added treat. Cannot recommend more highly.

    Picturesque.
Nice sunny day and the views were fantastic. The river side had some interesting sights like the Peppers Silo Hotel and rock formation was very roughed.

    Cruising the Tamar
We took the 50 minute cruise and loved it. We went early and there was only 6 people of which, we were 4, so it felt like we were on a private tour. Captain was friendly and informative. I would like to come back and do one of the longer trips

Wonderful morning activity while in Launceston.
We were greeted by the Skipper and Tour Guide on the Wharf. Down ramp onto Vessel where we were given Safety Instructions. Introduced to Assistant and other members of the Cruise attendees. Free to roam up, down or around the Vessel once it began its course. Exciting up on the bow whilst heading to the Cataract Gorge. Interesting hearing the history of the Bridges across the Gorge and seeing the old Victorian Homes on the hillside adjacent to the river. Most pleasant inside, out of the wind listening to the commentary and seeing all the scenery on either side of the River, when heading downstream. Morning Tea was available. Muffins, cake, tea and coffee. Most pleasant. Later: a wine tasting. Interesting sampling 2 whites, one red and a Lager. Lovely treat to finish the morning. Most worthwhile activity.

    Thoroughly recommend it.
Had a fabulous time on this cruise. Huon was the very capable captain and guide. It was great to learn some of the history of this area along with the opportunity to cruise into Cataract Gorge with its amazing cliffs and waterway. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed sitting outside relaxing in the sun listening to Huon’s commentary. I thoroughly recommend this tour to those on limited time and budget. You won’t regret it.

    Relaxing and Scenic Cruise
We had the pleasure of being aboard the Lady Launceston for our cruise around the waterways of Launceston. Our captain, Huon, was engaging, humorous and knowledgeable and reflected the welcome afforded to us by the woman in the ticket office. The cruise itself was relaxing and scenic with the clear highlight being Cataract Gorge itself. Just a lovely experience.

    Well worth the trip
This was a great choice to cruise the Tamar River for a quick boat tour. The guide told passengers about a bit of the history of the area and proceeded into the gorge. It was only a short 50 minute tour but with the $35 charge. This had good seating and was very interesting.

    Launceston from the river.
A lovely afternoon. Great commentary on the way up the river by our skipper and a beautiful sunset return back to port.

We did the 4 hour luncheon cruise which takes you all the way up to the Batman Bridge, and then into Cataract Gorge toward the end. We enjoyed this cruise and the scenery along the way. The Captain was very informative and provided us with the history of Launceston. He had plenty of interesting stories to tell, including one about Matthew Brady, a bush ranger who spent time hiding along the Tamar river. Lunch was good, and the boat itself is very comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our cruise along the Tamar river.

Wonderful way to experience the Tamar River n Cataract Gorge, the slow cruise up the gorge was fabulous with plenty of opportunities to take photos and listen to the commentary. Unfortunately we had to sit out on the back deck (no room inside) on plastic garden chairs for 4 hours and the noise of the engine made the commentary completely inaudible for the entire trip up to the Batman Bridge and back. The plastic windows were very hard to see through so the trip was spent looking out a gap in the back. Moving up to the front deck for photos was a great opportunity. When in full throttle the boat created quite a wake and as it came to a quick stop to see the wildlife the wake washed into the back of the boat making it wet n sloppy. Any bags on the floor would have got very wet. Lovely morning tea n lunch served on the boat, with self serve tea n coffee. Plenty of muffins n cake. Rolls n focaccia with plenty of filling, fruit n cheese platter …certainly enjoyed by those seated inside. This is a fantastic cruise opportunity but just make sure you get a seat inside or upstairs.

The commentary was just right. Informative, interesting and delivered in segments along the way. We really appreciated the captain asking people to refrain from talking loud at the relevant time so others could hear the commentary. There was plenty of food for morning tea and lunch.

We did the 4 hour river cruise with lunch. This included a trip up the Cataract Gorge. The captain gave a description of everything of interest as we passed, including any wildlife that he spotted from the bridge. Lunch was excellent with plenty of sandwiches etc. The trip up the gorge was interesting and again the captain gave a full explanation of the history of the gorge.

It's a good way to see the area if you've four hours to kill. The skipper's talk is interesting and less corny than most. Lunch is sandwiches, and it's really a fine weather trip.

Enjoyed a lovely 4 hr boat trip with this company including a lovely lunch, limitless coffee, and some wine and cheese tasting. Only a small number of passengers on the boat in the current Pandemic climate, but lovely friendly group. The 2 staff were lovely and friendly. The skipper knew SO much of the history of the area and was so informative. Thanks for a lovely few hours

A lovely enjoyable, relaxing and informative cruise, together with a lovely luncheon. Extremely well organised with great commentary. We had a lovely group of people on board. So enjoyed cruising on the Tamar. We highly recommend this cruise to visitors to Launceston. The 4 hour cruise goes further and you see a whole different perspective from the river than when driving.

We just had to do this trip as we see the boat on the Tamar every day from our home. It was fantastic. Beautiful scenery from the water and we learnt a lot about the rivers history from Callum who gave a wonderful commentary and thankyou Gemma for taking care of the passengers with wine tastings and a a yummy lunch. Thoroughly recommend this cruise.

We have done several lunch cruises in NSW.. We found the Batman Bridge way too long and over priced. The staff and food were great but the lack of tables to put your food and drink on was very awkward. We bought this as a birthday present for our daughter and son in law, who live in Tasmania, but even they were not too impressed. I would always recommend the Brooklyn NSW lunch cruise over this one..
