About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- t00ktaf0 contributionsConfused about changing date and location which does not match .In the end,we couldn’t go couldn’t demand anything.SCENIC DAYTOURS The tour is advertised in the network is not clear. In using the words * book any 2 tours and receive your 3rd tour of lesser value * We booked Tamborine, Brisbane and Springbook with the tour group. They started changing the time and date of travel 2 times (Springbook, Tamborine, the worst is Brisbane. The date and time we could not extend the rental) changed the travel plan that was booked according to the company's rules until the customer had to give in and made it difficult because the hotel rental had to be continued. It is impossible because the travel schedule is in the future of the customer. It is a business that shows unreliability to foreign customers. I do not recommend using the service because they used the little time of the customers to negotiate until we could not change the date and time. It was a waste of money (but I have to give credit to the tour guide Sonya. She did her job very well). I do not recommend it. Thank you.🥺☹️Written 6 July 2024
- Downundertravels19740 contributionsLovely day outWe had a great day out on Tambourine Mountain. Beautiful sky walk. Enjoyed the walk to Curtis Falls with our guide Barry who was very knowledgeable. Nice stop at the shops (lots of quirky little shops to browse) had a quick lunch & travelled back. Barry gave a good commentary along the way. All in all very pleasant day outWritten 2 May 2024
- Jiayin Y0 contributionsWorth goingTotally worth it! Sanja is a good guide and we saw a lot of insects and frogs also glow worm that night, though I can’t capture the wonderful scene by my phoneWritten 23 February 2024
- A9696HGsophied0 contributionsA great memoryA slightly hairy, yet incredible trip. It was a bit tough for the children (I checked with the tour before that it was suitable for them) but a great memory and experience. We saw glow worms, the waterfall, a possum, lizards, frogs, giant crickets, glowing fungi, giant snails… it was pretty amazing. The tour guide was super knowledgeable and full of interesting facts about the animals and the region.Written 12 January 2024
- 743rebeccas0 contributionsWaste of time and moneyWaste of time money! In total - 2 hours round trip on a bus, a 30 minute stop at a petrol station to buy your own dinner (its not included in the over the top cost) 20 minute walk through a forest, 5 mins looking at glow worms - stock some fairy lights on a rock at home.....same same but differant. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone, save your time and money and thank me later. Pic included for referance - enjoyWritten 12 October 2023
- jojA4767EJ0 contributionsSuperb tour, lovely evening spent in the bushWe had a great time. If you want an interesting, and informative tour, go with this group. Sonya was a terrific guide, could have spent longer in bush, was so peaceful.Written 13 June 2023
- catosully10 contributionsExcellent Tour! Our guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the tour as it was a little different being at night, great opportunity to see different wildlife. The caves were magical, highly recommendWritten 25 April 2023
- jr1176980 contributionsFun day out!Excellent treetop walk, and Curtis Falls is certainly worth the short walk to view. Our driver was fun and friendly. Overall, it was an enjoyable day.Written 27 March 2023
- Coastal7870310 contributionsEvening Glow Worms & Curtis Falls StargazingIt was an extremely enjoyable and educational tour. I was lucky to have Sonja as the guide for the tour. She, being a certified ecologist, has such vast knowledge I wished I had more time to learn more. Sonja also has a good sense of humour which made the evening tour very entertaining. The walk through the rainforest trail leading up to the primary site for viewing the glow worms was filled with plenty of unexpected nocturnal creatures - possums, barred frogs and giant king crickets. To some, walking in low-light in the rainforest may be challenging and scary. But I highly recommend this tour as it shows an entirely different and fascinating nightlife of Gold Coast.Written 19 March 2023
- nicolaslY4811ER0 contributionsGreat experienceSky walk was fun and very easy walk for adults and kids. Fiona the tour guide was very knowledgeable about the fona and flora of Australia. If you want an educational tour and bit of history of Australia would recommend this oneWritten 14 March 2023
- I7788XSarthurl0 contributionsWonderful and eco-friendly tourIt was a wonderful tour. The tour guide was professional, knowledgeable and experienced. She seemed to know everything along the way from Surfers Paradise to Mount Tamborine. Her introduction of various stuff was informative and interesting. We learned that nocturnal animals are unable to see red light and using red light torch can avoid harming them, while the white light device is not friendly to them. During the tour, not only did we found the amazing glow worms, but also witnessed the approaches of being eco-friendly. I like the experience very much and highly recommend the tour to people who want to be close to the nature.Written 12 December 2022
- Adventure478436990630 contributionsOverpriced experienceBeautiful place but the alpaca experience is really expensive. The alpaca grounds could be a little smelly as well and there seemed to be too many alpacas for them to be comfortableWritten 2 December 2022
- joykI5830GI0 contributionsPretty okayThe trip was okay, basically just 2 activities, the skywalk and the falls. Lunch was at a little town on the mountains, which also had several places to shopWritten 21 June 2022
- michellemY9393FN0 contributionsThis is a memorable experience for all ages.I was so impressed with the Scenic day tour group. I have been all over the world and been on lots of different tours but this one was just so unforgettable. Our tour guide Sonya was just amazing. Sonya was so informative about the area. I learnt more about the rain forest and the environment in one evening than I did in high school. I would have Sonya over for a BBQ in a heartbeat. Her personality was bright and bubbly. Heart of gold. If anyone is looking for a tour to do on the Gold Coast I would highly recommend this spectacular tour of the glow worms. This is a memorable experience for all ages.Written 1 May 2022
- 803felya0 contributionsGreat tour with science lecture included !My favorite part was seeing the incredible glow worms at night, it was an unreal experience but my 2nd favorite part was definitely all the science talk bt Sonya who was an amazing guide, her knowledge blew my mind and I learned a lot not only about the glow worms which I didn't know existed before this tour but also a lot about unesco world heritage listed ecosystems. Extremely interesting 👌 thank you so much.Written 21 April 2022

Our driver and guide Sonya was great, she provided very detailed and entertaining commentary during the day and made sure everyone enjoyed their time on the tour. We were very lucky with the weather and views from all lookouts were fabulous. It’s a very easy day, all walks are done on paved paths, so sneakers are perfect. Highly recommend doing the tour.

Wonderful day. Our guide Barry was very knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor and helped the group really get to know one another. Lunch (though not included in the price of the tour) was delicious. The scenery in the national park is gorgeous and we even saw a fair amount of wildlife.

Thank you to our tour guide Barry for an excellent day tour. Barry is very friendly and very knowledgable of all the places we visited. Even though the day was fairly overcast and at one lookout all we could see was fog it was still worth going on this tour. We visited so many beautiful places. It is defiantly worth the visit. Thank you Barry for such an incredible day.

Our driver was very experienced and careful. Always checked to see everyone was ok and on the bus. He was a wealth of information about the areas we visited and was attentive to my husband who has a bad knee so chatted and walked with him.

The bus arrived on time and driver Barry was excellent with his driving skills and constant commentary as we went along.
He explained the importance of each place we went to.
Gave us enough time for lunch and comfort breaks.
Trip cost 95Aus D for an 8 hour round trip which includes pick up and drop.
A very good trip.

So nice to sit back and relax when someone else drives. We stopped on the way at Hinze Dam. The cafe has a surprisingly good view. Springbrook National park is very relaxing. All the lookouts were just short works. The rain forest is very relaxing. A great place to experience the sounds of the bush. Lots of bird noises and water Springs. We saw a number of water falls from the lookouts. Then went to Natural Bridge which is amazing. The normal place to stop for lunch was closed so we stopped at a quaint little place , The Dancing Waters Cafe. It had cheap and healthy lunch options. We sat on the beautiful back deck overlooking forest. The driver was very experienced and friendly. We had great informative commentary. These trips are a bit expensive but Scenic offer book 3 and get a third one free. Otherwise it is worth looking at discount sites like bookme.

I was greeted by Barry, who was fun and entertaining, providing great commentary and personal quips through out the day. He explained about various interesting facts as well as showing us great vantage points to take photos....Spectacular scenery over the Hinterland was amazing, and even though there hadn't been too much rainfall, you could see where the falls go over the steep cliffs, and the short walks to these were easy and worthwhile going through the native forest to hear and see the birdsongs on route. I particularly enjoyed the Natural Arch/Bridge as it had a very serene and calm atmosphere and looked stunning....just as the brochures advertised....very impressed....Great day out!! I would recommend this full day tour, not to be rushed on a half day. to experience it fully.
