- 422belindas0 contributionsWine tasting with a viewThe most stunning views in the Hunter! We had a fabulous wine tasting experience, complete with a historical tour, private room for our tastings and a beautiful picnic lunch, complete with a chosen bottle of wine. Collette and Riley were wonderful hosts and led us through each of the wines with expertise. A trip to the Hunter Valley is not complete without a visit to Audrey Wilkinson!Written 25 March 2025
- IanDThomas0 contributionsWonderful views and great staffWonderful setting with beautiful 360 degree views around the house. We did the premium wine tasting which showcased the red, white and rose wines very well. Special mention for the Audrey Wilkinson staff who took us back to our hotel as our taxi had let us downWritten 13 March 2025
- sandyrA9406PC0 contributionsAudrey is pretty but wines are average at best! The staff was great, and the wine was fair. You can buy better wines from their neighbors, like Peppe Free or Mount Pleasent!Written 9 March 2025
- nicolemL130 contributionsWonderful venue, disappointing staffHave waited to write this review. Have been to Aubrey a few times and each time has been disappointing all due to the staff. Great wines and beautiful place to visit but the staff have always seemed unhappy and like they don’t want to be there. Thought it might have been an off day, but it happens every time I take people up there to do some wine tastings. It’s such a beautiful place though, shame about some of the staff.Written 3 March 2025
- lorenafazio0 contributionsMasterclass and picnicLovely touch of bubbly on arrival. Our host was a friendly and very knowledgeable young woman, she did a brilliant job learning info and delivering it. She was warm and personable. I would have loved for a masterclass to be led by someone who had many years of experience with wine. Masterclass does imply this. This is no fault of our host , she really was impressive for someone who has just reached legal age. The winery should think more about what patrons expect a Masterclass to look like, it felt very unconsidered. The picnic had some nice features like rug , basket and take home glasses. Loved that we could pick any wine we tasted, Food was slightly underwhelming. Overall it was a lovely experience and all staff from front entry, to payment and of course our host were absolutely lovely.Written 1 March 2025
- kathyg3060 contributionsRelaxing experience with delicious wine!Outstanding experience! Love the history, masterclass, delicious wine, basket lunch and the beautiful property that we were permitted to take our basket w/wine and select a spot to enjoy the view and food.Written 17 February 2025

- 827despinaa0 contributionsFabulous brunch with sparkling wine!Beautiful winery with sweeping views of the vineyard. The brunch was lovely and I feel we received value for money Dennis experience. While our host was lovely we felt she didn’t really explain the wines and provide info on the winery. Otherwise a lovely place and would highly recommend a visit.Written 12 January 2025
- ChrisandDavid20160 contributionsLoved the rose wineWe booked (they don't take walk-ups) a Heritage wine tasting along with the cheese board, which lasts for 1 hour and be aware they turn the tables over on time. The cheeseboard was too much for two people, in our opinion, and we thought a smaller option should be available to purchase, to reduce wastage - all pre-booked. We had Hamish as our wine expert, who was knowledgeable, engaging and listened to and commented on our feedback, knowing our NZ wine background, having recently travelled to NZ for a holiday he easily engaged in conversation, which we appreciated. We tasted 4 flights of two wines (so eight wines in total) of different vintages to compare and were offered a glass of bubbles on arrival. Well worth the visit and albeit cloudy on the day we visited, it is on a hill and has a good view of the surrounding landscape and winery.Written 5 January 2025
- naomigK5818BN0 contributionsFun picnic experienceSuch a gorgeous vineyard which a really interesting history! We loved learning about the wines and enjoyed every single one we tried. We had such a fun experience with her!Written 4 January 2025

A lovely location with sensational views. What a pretty spot!
Cameron ran us through 3 white wines, 3 red wines and 3 fortified wines, which were all delicious. Cameron was knowledgeable and honest as he spoke about each of the wines. The cheeses to accompany the wines were lovely and the whole experience was just sensational. A great afternoon.

We purchased the “fortified and fromage” experience and it was worth every penny! Our host Allie was absolutely amazing; so friendly, knowledgeable and tailored the experience to our likes and dislikes. The cheese accompaniment is beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much, Allie! We are very grateful… from your Welsh visitors :)

Full disclosure I love this vineyard and have been visiting for about 24 years.
Daniel greeted us and made us very comfortable in the wine tasting room. A great spot with views out from Mount View across the vineyard and toward the Brockenback ranges. Throughout the wine tasting Daniel kept us engaged with a great banter, excellent knowledge about the wines and a load of great tips for how to enjoy the wine best, what foods to pair with and other bits of history about the vineyard. We enjoyed a cheese platter with our tasting - the cheese was so good that it was our next stop - Binnorie Dairy in Lovedale.
Absolutely great afternoon as always and reconfirmed Audrey Wilkinson as a must do on every trip we take to the Hunter.
Thanks Daniel and the team at Audrey's

We are group of 5 couples. One of the couple was given a present for a sunset wine tasting which cost $60 per person. Which includes wine tasting and cheese plater. We were invited to come along with the other couples.
We were given 3 small cheese platers with very limited crackers. We asked for some extra crackers which came after 10 minutes of asking 2 staff members. The wine poured was very little. We have been to other wineries before and the service we received here unfortunately was very disappointing.
It was so overpriced! All of us could not believe that we have paid $60 for the amount of food and wine that’s was served and the service that was average.

Dear Aimee,
Thank you for taking the time to reply to us during your recent visit to our Cellar Door.
I am sorry to hear that we did not deliver on our high standard of service that we pride ourselves on.
In relation to the pouring, I think it’s important to highlight that we pour 15ml per tasting which allows for approximately one standard drink during the experience as maintaining a responsible serve of alcohol is what we strive for.
I am sorry that you feel that the food was not substantial enough. This is not in line with what the feedback we have been receiving in relation to this experience. Nonetheless I will take this feedback to my team in due course and review our offering.
If you come back to the hunter in the coming months please feel free to reach out to me on e: brooney@agnewwines.com.au or m: 0429 032 953 and I will personally look after you.

The fortified and fromage tasting is a great experience. We were served by Meg who had great knowledge of the wines, processes and brand but also really customised the tasting to us so effortlessly. Would recommend as a great experience for the Hunter Valley in one of the most beautiful locations you can find.

This was our groups first wine tasting experience, and it was amazing! The staff were so great and attentive to our likes and dislikes, and adjusted the wine menu towards the end so we could enjoy some wines that were more of our preference. The winery and vineyards were also stunning and great for photos. Thank you for having us!

Booked a "standard" wine tasting experience for 4 people. AW is one of the oldest vineyards. The view over the vineyard was spectacular. We sampled 6 wines. Young Harry was polite and friendly. He briefly guided us thru the background of each wine. My wife and I visit Hunter Valley a couple of times a year, but this time we took along our son and his new bride. They were first timers and hence I would have liked more detailed info about the grapes for their benefit. I wanted to try the Merlot (it wasn't on our tasting list), but was told there wasn't an opened bottle. Had to buy a bottle instead. There is a museum with artefacts dating back over a 100 years! It was the old-world charm of this winery that sets it apart from the other. We enjoyed the tastings.

After all of trips to the Hunter, this is the most spectacular tasting we have ever been too. When you arrive the first thing you notice is the spectacular view over the valley & out to the mountains. We were greeted and seated at a table on the veranda by our host Michael, we were presented with a glorious cheese platter and an array of the vineyards finest wines and told of the history of the Wilkinson’s vineyards.
To finish the tour off we taken to a cellaring room where we were given the opportunity to taste 3 liqueurs from the barrel which was a sensational way to finish off.
We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who has a love of fine wine & cheese, oh the bonus was that what we didn’t finish they packed away for us,5 stars 🤩

The online photos don't do this place justice, the house and location are 10/10 and the premium tasting was worth every cent. Alle was a fantastic host and their knowledge was unparalleled. You won't regret coming here.

I would just like to share how wonderful our experience was with Sean when we visited your vineyard on 25th Feb. I booked for my mother's 60th and there was an error with my booking Sean worked through it fast and supported us with a table.
Sean's service was outstanding and really set the bar for what we would expect while travelling around the Hunter. Sadly no other vineyards service compared to Sean's, he really set the bar high. In fact the whole family talked about him for days. Sean is a true asset to your business he was able to adapt to the different personalities at the table, and made mum the birthday girl and my grandmother feel like VIPS. He kept the stress away from me from the booking error and relaxed us all. Not only was his service amazing but his knowledge and delivery of information was exceptional. We are now enjoying our purchases back I sydney.
I will be back and requesting Sean to host my next table!
