- 256kyliej0 contributions5 out of 5 - SO MUCH FUN!Such a great tour! My partner & I joined another 2 couples & our amazing driver Glen - we couldn’t have asked for a better group! We went to 4 wineries & a brewery. We loved the wine & cheese pairing at 2 Fat Blokes and the picnic lunch! Highly recommend this tour!Written 7 October 2024
- 990zoem0 contributionsLuv this tour including JulzUs girls did Uncork the Hunter tour and we had the best time with Julz. She was amazing and made our day so memorable. She was also happy to drop us off for our dinner reservation and picked up the hubbies on the way. I highly recommend this tour. Thanks, JulzWritten 6 October 2024

- amandasY7836XK0 contributionsHunter Valley At It's BestWell organized and informative full day tour. Great way to start at Two Fat Blokes own quirky place, and interesting to learn about the pairings of cheeses and wines. great company on the day, meeting new people, and having a chat and a laugh. good selection of different venues and did not feel rushed at all. Impressive spread for lunch too. Many thanks to our patient driver Glen.Written 28 September 2024

- A1812QJpaulab0 contributionsA great day outA fabulous day with knowledgeable and entertaining guide Glen, assisted by Glenn. The opening stop of wine and cheese tasting at Two Fat Blokes gave us skills and information that assisted us for the remaining visits, and the provided picnic lunch was delicious. The tour catered for everyone... including a vegan and we stopped so overseas visitors could look at kangaroos and at a supermarket so we could grab something for dinner knowing none of us would be safe to drive. A fridge in the back kept purchases cold, attention to detail and accuracy of timings for pick up and moving between venues was excellent. I fully recommend this tour.Written 24 September 2024
- 235kyliep0 contributionsDave for the win!!We started the day with the very entertaining Dave who was happy to share his wealth of knowledge of the area including but not limited to wineries food and their heritage. He was very accommodating, knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with. The wine, chocolate and cheese experiences we indulged in were both varied and delicious. We would definitely recommend this tour as it was one of the highlights of your trip,Written 13 September 2024
- tanealn20240 contributionsBest way to see the wineries the Hunter has to offer! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our all day wine tour with Two Fat Blokes. It was the best way to see 4 wineries and a brewery across the Hunter, without having to worry about driving ourselves. Plus, we were never hungry with the cheese tasting, lunch and chocolate tasting included. Amazing value for money! Glen was our tour leader and he was fantastic! He had a great personality and banter, which just made the whole day even better.Written 27 August 2024

- petecT5287CZ0 contributionsRealy good tourDave was fantastic and the tour was well worth it. Lunch provided was excellent. The wineries were worth visiting and Two Fat Blokes own winery (with cheese) is worth a visit on it's own. It might not look polished but it has it's own charm...Written 26 August 2024

I really do not recommend this half-day tour , I have been on a number of tours in the Hunter and this was the worst value by far. We got picked up and they drove 5 mins to their own property where we sat down , no view, and served their own wine , with some cheese . The next one the service was slow and again inside and the last one was inside again, service was a lovely couple.
In summary, we never got to sit and enjoy the Hunter beautiful valley or the amazing vineyards which I was truly disappointed about rather felt I was being sold their own wine to be honest. We had my son who could not drink and they served him tap water at the 3 stops , they charged him full price of $89 as they said he took up a seat we were a group of 11 as it turned out we had the van to ourselves. Not a good experience compared to the others I have been on.

Had a half day tour with Bill, our tour guide who was friendly, knowledgeable and quite humorous.
The wineries we visited were lovely, the hosts/hostesses welcoming and and the wines we tasted were varied. The cheese and wine paring section of the trip was really informative and "yummy". Needless to say several bottles of wine and a selection of cheese were purchased.
This is the second time we have travelled with "Two Fat Blokes" and would not hesitate to do so again.
We can recommend this company to anyone that wants to go wine tasting in the Hunter Valley.

It’s my second time in Hunter Valley and I had brought a friend with me. I want her experience with wine tour to be beautiful and memorable. Well!! Juls the lady tour guide from the Two Fat Blokes made it happen! She’s fun to be with. Her beautiful character and talent made the tour an exceptional experience we will never forget! She’s knowledgeable and very professional (with some good humour to chuck in) in what she does!!
She made our group talk to each other - by the end of the tour we we’re all singing our hearts out and enjoying each others’ company. Get off the bus if it’s not Juls. 😂
No, kidding aside.. this woman should have some pay raise for the job well done!!

We booked this tour off of multiple recommendations - and boy do we see why. We had, hands down the best experience with two fat blokes on their half day snapshot tour. We headed off at 2pm not knowing what to expect, only to have one of the most memorable days ever. We pet some beautiful dogs, drank (a LOT) of beautiful wine, filled up on cheese, and had the absolute pleasure of meeting the friendliest and funniest tour group of all time (shoutout to jodie, shane-o, anna and daniel).
Julie our driver was the best guide we could have asked for, after a little mix up that left our food at the two fat blokes restaurant Julie went back to two fat blokes just to grab our dinner and drop it off back to our hotel despite that making her late for her own dinner plans, this was the kindest and most above and beyond service we have ever experienced.
The only bad part was the tour ending :(

We had a great time on our half day tour!
Our driver Bill was really lovely and very knowledgeable about the area and most importantly, the wine.
We had a good intro to wine in the Hunter valley and would recommend this to anyone interested in checking out the hunter but is short of time.
I definitely plan to try a full day tour next time I am in the area!

Great day spent with “Two Fat Blokes”! 6 of us started with delicious share plate lunch + reasonably priced wine from the cellar door. Rachel & Wanda were very welcoming, we had such a fun lunch. From there we started our half day winery tour with Andrew....a lot more fun to be had!!! Only down side was that we were so full from lunch we couldn’t appreciate the cheese & wine pairing.
A fantastic day out & can highly recommend.

Great experience! We started with the cheese and win tasting experience and then visited two other wineries. We liked starting with the wine and cheese pairing and then moving on to other wineries. Our guide (Andrew) was very personable and gave a good amount of detail regarding the region and wineries we were visiting.
As a tour package, the attention to detail was really good. For instance, making sure we had a list of what we were tasting at each winery (and some pointers beforehand on the ‘must try’ wines), and a box for each group to store their cellar door purchases. We also enjoyed the fact that we had a reserved table at each cellar door so our tasting experience was fuss free.
We liked that there was a really good mix in the tour group, from retirees to undergrads…
We ended the afternoon (early evening) with music playing as each group was dropped back to their accommodation - a terrific way to conclude the tour! We’d recommend this tour as a good way to explore a few wineries at a leisurely pace.
The tour was a small group and we had door to door service.

Amazing, knowledgeable tour guide (Andy) was incredibly patient, friendly and took us to 3 boutique wineries; Hungerford hill, Hunters dream and 2 fat blokes winery for my best friend’s birthday. Standout wines included the Semillon, Shiraz and Moscato. At our final stop, 2 fat blokes we had an incredibly paired cheese tasting where the birthday girl got some extra attention which she really appreciated (extra cheese plate, froze and a free jam)+a birthday song. Cheese standouts included the Labne, Feta cheese and Brie. Andy even gave us extra time (tour was supposed to finish 5 but 5:25 we were still at the last winery) so gave us an extra extended, amazing experience! Perfect amount of different wineries and settings too- will come back without a doubt. Thank you Andy and co!

Prompt pick up with great communication about meeting place and time. Small group and mix bunch of people. Due to our wine intake everyone was friendly. Guide was organized and approachable. dad jokes were welcome from our guide.
I recommend this tour as 3 wineries is enough in one afternoon.
Too many tastings included Chardonnay. Is there an excess supply the Hunter are trying to off load?
The wineries we went too had affordable wine on the low end of cost. Great for a first time visitor experience to the winery. This was not my first visit to the Hunter Valley and do have my favorite wineries, that I visited the next day.

Every aspect our our wine tour was wonderful. Comminication on pick up time, punctuality, local knowledge, clean bus and extensive wine and cheese knowledge. The 3 vineyards were all very different and our tastings weren’t rushed or pushing for sales. Just perfect. We couldn’t have been more delighted. Highly recommend this tour. Thankyou 2 Fat Blokes tours.

Are children (4 year old) allowed on the tour bus? If yes what's the pricing?
Written 1 March 2020
Actually kids may be allowed but they would be bored stiff I accept as there is no where to play or entertain them . The best part of the tour is the cheese at the end and your sat around tight tables . Whilst you could brings kids I dunno if you would have the most relaxing experience
