      A hint of Tuscany
It’s like taking a trip to Tuscany. Came here on a wine tour and fell in love with the vineyard, the hospitality and of course the wine. The wine is a hidden gem of the Hunter Region, a boutique winery that will have you instantly signing up to the Club (like I did). Huge shout out to a Wendy who was knowledgeable and engaging when doing our tasting. I was so taken with the whole experience that I became a member and look forward to continuing to enjoy their wines I’m the future. I can’t recommend this beautiful winery enough, PS. Try the Semillion Angus.

Beautiful setting with nice wines and great service.
These days you have to book wine tastings but that at least sets out your day. We were into Tintilla first thing and Sophie made us very welcome. They produce single variety wines which has always been my preference. The 2021 semillon was young, zesty and sharp...perfect with oysters. The 2014 was more mature and aging well. Pebbles Brief Chardonnay is a more European type wine but full and rich. The Justine merlot is young, very dry with just a touch of sweetness and very forward tannins. In time it will be good. Of the 2 shiraz we tasted, the reserve was my preference...fruity and smooth with emerging tannins...a nice drop. The Patriarch shiraz will be a great wine in a few years time when it matures. Sophie was an impeccable host, the vineyard is beautiful and well worth a visit.

      Beautiful grounds
What a beautiful winery! The grounds are stunning and so beautiful to walk by and take a few pics. Justine was fabulous and very knowledgeable about all the wines we tried - the fact she was part of the family who own the vineyard was a nice touch. The family traditions are strong here, from the names of the wines to the roses at the end of the vines. This was an unexpected stop on our tour and ended up being the highlight - I highly recommend this experience.

      Disappointing experience
We actually visited this winery as part of the two far blokes tour, it had also been recommended to us so we were keen to visit however we were unfortunately disappointed with the service. We completed a blind tasting as part of the tour and the guy who served us wasn't engaged at all, in all honesty it seemed like he couldn't be bothered. What could have been a really fun, interactive session, really fell quite flat which was a shame and as a result really let down the wines. I know it is a smaller winery so I do think it's a shame to mark it down and I wouldn't normally mark a venue low however half of the experience in a cellar door is your host and on this occasion it fell really flat.

      Very nice boutique winery.
Nice boutique winery. Cellar door was well air conditioned on a really hot day. The single staff member coped well with the influx of customers and she was very pleasant and informative. We enjoyed the range of wines overall and bought a mixed case. The highlight was the availability of museum magnums of their flagship shiraz and I bought one of those too which was about 15 years bottle aged. Very much recommended visit. Just be careful when approaching from the north and heading south. The first sign telling you the cellar door is 100m ahead is on a private driveway which we accidentally turned into. Entrance is easy to see coming from the south and heading north.

      Our favourite favourite winery
My husband and I went to four different wineries in a day. This was our far favourite winery! We were super glad that we fpund this place in hunter valley! Reasons are: We took our time. Actually, staff let us to take out time. This was the very best tasting experience! They introduced their wines time to time, one by one, not too fast or slow. We had enough time to enjoy their wines. Calm and relaxing at a gorgeous winery overlooking the vineyard. Great wine and food. This winery had many different sorts of wines and delicious dipping sauces. Ladies who served us were very kind, helpful and knowledgeable of wines as well. I cannot comment how relaxing it was! This place gives you the feel of romantic Southern France. Wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.

      Picturesque Views and Amazing Olives
Tintilla definitely has one of the nicest views and atmospheres on the Food & Wine trail, and their olives are seriously delicious. Though John had quite a few people to take care of at once, he did a wonderful job offering some insights into each wine we tasted, and he made us feel more than welcome to take our time and enjoy the view. Many thanks to everyone at Tintilla for prioritizing covid safety without compromising on exceptional service! We're stilling dreaming about those olives...

      Decent wines, very slow service
Came here on a Saturday afternoon with friends to do 8 wine tastings. Friendly and welcoming staff, and good range of wines; it however was very slow (almost 2 hours for 8x20ml) and could have been more attentive

      Wonderful European Feel Vineyard
We visited this wonderful vineyard off a recommendation and so glad we did. They were so accommodating with our children and the fact we didn't have a booking. We really enjoyed our visit here, the wines were all great, we tried the olives, cheese and some of their spreads. Everything was lovely from the setting which felt European to the wines we tried and the service. We tried 8 wines each with cheese, crackers and olives for $15 per person. They do meat and cheese platters as well. Definitely make this a stop on your Hunter Valley visit.

      Olive tasting
Great olive tasting. Didn't try any of the wines. Staff helpful and professional. Even had a bit of a history lesson. 1000 trees required to make it viable! There you have it. Forgot to take a pic of the platter. Tucked in straight away.

      Best Rose around
My friends and I have been visiting Tintilla for many years, we love the wine tastings and always enjoy the long lunches that they host. My personal favourite wine is the rose but every wine of I have had there has been lovely. Last time we were up we did the $15 tasting with cheese and olives and loved everything.

Amazing wine experience with a wonderful view.
Thank you John for an amazing wine tasting experience. Sitting on your deck looking down the vineyard just has you so relaxed and you just know this is going to be something special. Your knowledge of the wines allowed us to learn but the Cabernet Merlo was our favourite and we are already wishing we had bought more. Next time we are in the Hunter we will be certain to visit again as you certainly were our favourite from all the placed we visited.

      Sparkling Rose
Visited as we were passing during a walk. Fab wines, olives and chutneys. My stand out wine - surprisingly - was the sparkling rose. Excellent. Great vineyard.

      Family friendly!
Our young family had a beautiful New Year’s Day here overlooking stunning landscape with high quality wines. Edward, our host, was knowledgeable and very friendly! Our 9 month old was able to crawl about on the courtyard and enjoy some lovely wooden toys provided. Would definitely visit again! Thank you :)

Spend plenty of time in the Hunter Valley and organise group tastings several times a year. Visited 5 wineries on Saturday and this was by far the worst. Whilst the wines were ok our host had no idea or knowledge about the wines and could not even answer simple questions (eg. regarding french oak etc). The wines were rushed out and no commentary was given by the host. The cheese platters were tiny and not worth the $15 per person. Had left a review on Facebook and was greeted with an unprofessional response saying you can't please everyone.

Luke, once again I am sorry you were not happy with your experience here and I understand you feel the need to express your frustrations but unfortunately, I feel there is little that we can say or do that will change this. Overwhelmingly we found that people have a good experience here. Unfortunately, you where is on a Saturday during the first day of school holidays after the relaxing of Covit-19 restriction. If you were looking for a more relaxed and personal experience you would be better visiting on a Sunday or weekday. The $15 VIP tasting is made up of 8wines with a tasting platter with cheese, olives and jam's plus cracker, it is not intended to be a meal but a tasting. If you require a meal we have such an option available. I hope this fulfils your request for a response.

On Easter Monday after a few years of not being in the hunter valley we wanted to see how the olives were. As the first place to visit we arrived around noon at Tintilla. The atmosphere is relaxed & quite cozy. We decided to have the VIP tasting which included olives. Wendy hosted us & with her pleasant demeanour & natural smile we decided to stay longer. She is very knowledgeable & has a friendly presentation style. Good olives & wines, thank you Wendy..loved sabre.ing..

Whilst travelling the east coast on holiday from England, my wife and I stopped off for two nights in the Hunter Valley region. While in the area we made a visit to the Tintilla Estate. Here we had a magnificent wine tasting session with our host Wendy. Wendy was friendly and very approachable to ask any questions, she explained in detail the differences in each of their wines as they were poured for us to sample. The tasting session was complemented with a beautiful array of various local cheeses, sliced meats fruits and biscuits. This was a value for money, educational and very enjoyable experience. When in the area this is an opportunity not to be missed.

My wife's family dropped in at Easter to Tintilla for a wine tasting. We absolutely loved the place; the wine, food and staff were amazing. Alot of laughs whilst wine tasting. A huge standout for me was their Kalamata olives in salt water, lemon, garlic, oregano and oil. The best I have ever had. Can't wait to get some more. Tried the Lizzie Spritzanti as cocktail mixer with vodka, soda and citrus. Would certainly recommend you drop in.

An absolute highlight of our trip to the Hunter Valley - an idyllic setting with a beautiful outlook. We selected a wine tasting and food package and it was all absolutely delicious. The wine was fantastic and the tasting platter a perfect accompaniment. Throughly recommend.

The wine tasting was really slow, wine that was selected was not the best in the Hunter. Felt like they lacked compassion for their product. There was no history of their product and winery. The food platter was nice but average. Would not go back.

Timing is always a tricky one, some people like to sit back and enjoy the view, whereas some are just interested in getting to their next venue. Thankfully there are lots of choices in wines, some will like ours and some will not. It is most unusual for our staff not to tell you about our product and winery, but like with everything there are good days and bad ones, we do apologise and will endeavour to do more to improve.

This is my second visit to Tintilla estate and it was just as good as the first. I was very lucky to have Wendy take us through our tasting again. She is so lovely and passionate about the wines and the winery itself as it is a family owned winery. She was so knowledgeable about all the wines and the history of the vineyard which was so refreshing. There wasn’t a wine that we didn’t enjoy, so much so that my partner became a member!

Thank you Wendy and Tintilla Estate, I can’t wait to come back
