Helen was an absolute legend, super kind and knowledgeable - we had an absolute blast with her on the tour. Julie was so lovely from the initial booking, and kept in contact with us all the way to the actual day of the tour - giving us all the info we needed and was only a phone call away. Prior to booking Julie advised our group that she would be fine picking us up from Mt View at no further cost. Less than a week out she then changed her mind and said it was to far but had already taken our money. She then insisted we pay an extra $100 to be picked up from Mt View.
The rest of the group paid in full and I paid the deposit. When she found out we were unsure about the tour due to the extra hidden costs. Julie somehow was able to access my credit card WITHOUT MY PERMISSION for the remainder of the deposit.
Not only did we have to pay extra, she Wouldnt even accommodate picking us up from the accessible cottage we were staying in but insisted walk up to the front gate of the property.
We had one other group on the bus that were made to drive to her pickup destination. They then asked if there could be a lift home as they wanted to enjoy their day and not drink drive and were charged an extra $150 for one way drop off.
We did 5 tastings all up and only the first two were decent which is a shame as their are so many beautiful wineries that I have had the luck of previously experiencing.
Julie then called us on Sunday for our feedback and then wouldn't let us provide our honest opinion and rudely spoke over us the entire time. Very poor customer service.

Hello Melissa. Sorry to read and hear of your experience with us. I did and have attempted to talk with you with the aim to work with you around how you perceived your wine tour with us to be but have not had any success. The description of your tour plus the Terms and Conditions clearly state, if you are not in the local Pokolbin area there is a pickup fee outside of 12ks.
You were staying in accommodation on a dirt road (after the big rains) on Mt View some 22.5ks from Pokolbin. This is 90ks for your tour bus to pick you up and return you. Im sorry you felt in your $99 tour ticket you had no more to pay.
You did not book an accessible tour and your tour guide did collect you from your accommodation, not the gate.

It was a great way to see the wineries in the area. The downside was we had a smelly cramped mouldy bus from some horse place and we all didnt feel that our $99 tour was worth sitting on a bus like that. Comared to pictures on the site of bus that we thought we were going to be in.

Hi Carmen. Thank you for your review. Yes, it was a great way to see the Hunter Valley vineyards.
It was my pleasure to work with you to customise/upgrade your standard 5 star $99 tour (free of charge) to suit you and your friends, especially as its not every day a group of friends turn 50 around the same time. We visited the Sabor Dessert cafe so you could have a 50th birthday celebration cake with friends.
I, pride myself on providing great customer service, ability to customise tours to suit, visit quality venues and provide a tour service thats value for money.
Yes, I was very disappointed too to have my tour bus breakdown after hours on Sunday night and not be able to get it back on the road in time for your wine tour the next morning. I was very grateful to have HVH after hours offer to help us out with a tour bus at the last minute so I didnt have to cancel your birthday celebration tour the night before.
The Terms and conditions state in the event of a bus breakdown or a bus not being available a substitute tour bus may be used.
But thank you again for sharing your special 50th birthday celebrations with us.

The whole day was excellent. We visited a good range of wineries plus cheese, chocolate and a distillery. We went to places we had not been to before so it was a great way to find some new favourites. Julie was a fantastic tour guide and timed everything so well that we never felt rushed. Lunch was great value for money and very pleasant. I will definitely be booking with HVT next time

Have you ever set out on an adventure with your best friend but you had no idea where she was taking you? All you knew in advance was that it was going to be educational, a FUN eventful journey with stops at multiple different wineries! Hunter Valley wine tours is just that! It’s like your best friend, or a family member who you have not seen in a while is taking you on a journey that will captivate, excite, and exceed all your expectations! Julie once you meet her she will become your 👯‍♀️ BFF.
Her smile, energy, and positive attitude is always present to make sure you have the best time of your life. Her energy is infectious. Even though I have countless girl friends who are close and supportive. I know in my heart of hearts that Julie is the one person in this world that you can trust and rely on in your time of need. This personal relationship is reflected in how she conducts herself with every customer on her tour bus as priority one.

This is the only way to experience some of the fantastic Hunter Valley wineries, with Julie organising your whole day for you. Once you are picked up from your accomodation you can sit back and relax as Julie shares her knowledge of the local area and wineries you visit during the day.
A great day of wine, cheese and chocolate as well as lunch at a local cafe.
This was our second winery tour with Julie and we will be back again. We would highly recommend HV tours to anyone visiting the Hunter Valley!
Being able to use our Service Nsw Discovery vouchers was a bonus.

Full day tour with pickup and drop off from our accomodation. Visited 5 Wineries, a lunch stop and finished with a Cheese and Chocolate tasting. Julie was well versed with a large number of the wineries on offer and their best potential vintages and ended up at some of the smaller wineries, which had plenty to offer but may have been overlooked if we were planning it ourselves.
Our transport was comfortable with plenty of storage for the many wine purchases along the way.
Would highly recommend HV Wine Tours as a great way to visit some wineries while in the Hunter Valley with no need to drive yourself.
Originally we were unsure whether to do a full of half day tour and we were glad we chose the full day.

Highly recommend, exceptional service! Andrew was our tour guide and he made our experience so memorable! He was professional and knowledgeable about the vineyards, great sense of humour and to top it off was our DJ for the day. We had a group of seven and it was most of our first time to the Hunter, we are so thankful to have chosen this service! Blueberry vineyard and COMYN&CO were our top favourites, had a nice variety of choices and each had their own unique style. Will use this service again next time, Thanks Andrew you’re a legend!!

We enjoyed the whole day. Julie did a great job, setting out the tour well, starting with wineries, then lunch and chocolate and cheese tasting, another winery, then a lovely patting zoo, and finishing off with another winery. We have travelled up here to Hunter Valley numerous times over the last 10 years and each time go on a "Wine Tour" trying different companies each time.
This tour the owner/operator was our host in a very comfortable van that turned up exactly on time.
Julie was sensational in all the different areas you consider for such a day getting the balance right between Wine, food and fun.
Yes, we tasted many and bought waaay too many - Can hardly wait to drink them
Lunch was perfectly tasty and fun at a restaurant while finishing the day at a Cheese/Condiments/Chocolate place called Fat Cow.......loved it

Our travel company which I will not name left us high and dry. They booked events with out prearranging transportation for us. With less than 24 hours notice
After calling 6 other hunter valley transportation agencies. The manager of HV Tours Julie answered our cry for help. She was able to rearrange her team of transportation experts all very well qualified experienced drivers and arrange transportation for us to two totally different locations and we were even allowed to join her prearranged group on their last stop as a special treat to us. Her service was so amazing and very much appreciated that we booked a second trip in two days.

On our tour we went to 4 wineries that included 2 places that brewed their own beer and that included the lunch stop (which was brilliant), 1 Distillery and a chocolate/cheese place - Thoroughly recommend this lady as we have been with 3 different tour companies over the last 4 or 5 years.
