Great tour. The presenters really knew their stories. I learnt a lot about the crimes of Maitland past. I would reccomend that children do not do this tour as I believe it would be boring for them. Adults get much more out of the stories.

The tour was very interesting. The guides were lovely and professional. I especially liked the chance to see the amazing architecture detailing of the old buildings. I've lived in Maitland area for 15 years and until the tour never noticed the wonderful detail on so many of the old buildings.

Such an interesting experience; having grown up in Maitland I knew none of the tour crimes had occurred, they were all close to where I went to school and worked and where family lived. Our whole group loved the tour including my 16 year old history buff. Our tour guide Annalise was lovely. Recommend for a night out with a difference.

we last minute had to bring out 9 yr old daughter with us due to no childcare and lack of transport if hubby didn’t go, I explained why to Emma and Sarah and what they did particularly Emma blew me away when there were any stories that were not suitable for children Emma took my daughter for a walk just out of hearing distance so she wasn’t alarmed by the bad parts. She was fantastic with my daughter she didn’t have to but did so that my husband and I could enjoy the stories, Emma and Sarah are a real credit to dark stories and Isabella (our daughter) hasn’t stopped talking about Emma all day lol

5 star. The ladies were funny informative and friendly. Interesting night. They were sensitive of the age of one member of the tour and adapted to the situation well.

Highly recommend this tour for people that like history or just true stories. A fun way to do it in the dark with spot lights, had a great time, will have to do the Newcastle one soon.

The tour was a wonderful opportunity to experience Maitland and to hear some fascinating and gruesome stories that really allow you to get a sense of the history of the area. Sara, the tour guide, was effervescent and engaging, and really helped the stories come alive. Definitely recommend!
