We flew back to Queenstown on Air Milford after our cruise on Milford Sound. Moa Trek tours had arranged for the transfer. Our pilot, Antony Spoull, did a terrific job preparing us for the slight turbulence and pointing out some interesting facts about the spectacular scenery. He and his dad run a first class operation!

A truly unforgettable experience with Air Milford, a flight to Milford Sound & a 2-hour cruise is a "must-do" for anyone visiting Queenstown or the South Island. Our pilot, Emma Penney, was awesome & Air Milford made the experience as seamless & enjoyable as possible. The views from the flight & during the cruise are astounding, honestly an emotional experience that my wife & I will never forget. Highly recommend to anyone looking to travel to Milford Sound & Air Milford is the outfit to do it with!

This flight was one of the single best experiences of my life. Weather pushed our flight out from a short hop to a longer air tour of the region, and it was absolutely incredible. Antony was amazing from greeting us at the port hub, escorting the group to the plane, and then the flying was outstanding. It's a small plane so expect a few bumps, but even those were smooth and so fun. The views of the fjord, the coast, and the incredible landscape of the area are absolutely incredible. I killed my camera battery taking pictures and video. So stunning. If you are going to the South Island - do this trip. My ONLY regret was that we took the bus out and flew back - knowing how great Milford Air and Antony are - should have flown both ways. 5 out 5 - 100% recommend. Worth the price!

We enjoyed a memorable experience this morning: the Big Five Glaciers Overflight. Kudos to our pilot Tom. His expertise in the Captain’s Chair along with an abundant knowledge of the area made for a marvellous flight. Tom, who speaks fluent NZ English, passed on details of the lay of the land – clearly – as we flew over this most magnificent natural landscape. It was fortunate that our flight occurred on a fine November day. Not too many clouds. We highly recommend this awesome New Zealand experience and thanks again to Tom and the team at Air Milford. Antony Sprouses, our pilot met us at the airport very friendly greeted us with a handshake took photos in front of the plane before we loaded onto the plane remembered everybody’s name. We are on the flight breathtaking flight that took off and flew over the Milford sound.

Fantastic flight from Milford Sound back to Queenstown. Pilot Emma Penny flew over spectacular scenery and highlighted the sights along the way. I appreciated her letting us know when some brief bumps would occur. We were in very competent hands. We are traveling throughout New Zealand for a month and this was,without a doubt, a highlight of our visit.

Absolutely amazing! We loved this experience - there is nothing like flying over and close to the mountains. After our first flight experience was cancelled with another company, I reached out to see if Air Milford would be running their afternoon flight. We were lucky enough the weather cleared up for us to get on a flight with only a little delay while we waited out the weather! The pilots were great and enthusiastic and both the flight and cruise were awe inspiring.

This tour was suggested when our original tour couldn’t happen because of the weather. We very much appreciated the suggestion so as not to be completely disappointed! We really enjoyed our flight and the conversations with both Sarah and Antony. We would definitely recommend this great company!

This was a once in a lifetime experience for me. The views were beautiful, flight was smooth and it was great to learn more about the area. The team did absolutely everything they could to arrange my flight, the pilots were fantastic and incredibly knowledgable and I was so impressed with the effort that was put in to make my flight possible. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, and informative - I can’t recommend them enough!!

From the moment our trip was confirmed early in the morning on the 14th of August, we knew we were going to have a very beautiful experience; however, I am lost for words on how great it was and struggle to find the right ideas to express on this review. The group was small to make the experience personal, my son got the chance to see the hangar and the Cesna planes from very close and he loved every single bit of it. The views and the places we visited are beyond what can be captured on pictures, simply breathtaking. Our pilot Thomas was extremely experienced and knowledgable, he was describing everything we were seeing on both sides of the plane. Milford sound cruise was very sublime, we have not been to a place this beautiful anywhere else, and we do not believe there is such beauty outside Milford Sound. The trip was the highlight of our visit to Queenstonwn and will definitely repeat the experience again in near future. Thank you Thomas, Mikayla, Sara and rest of AirMilford Team!

I initially wrote a review of my family's recent experience. I was quickly contacted for more information than received a call from CEO, Hank. He immediately apologized and took responsibility for our experience, and took steps to make it right. Air Milford offers a shuttle service from Queenstown to Milford Sound in addition to sight seeing tours. We signed up and paid for one and basically received the other. Nonetheless, my opinion of the integrity of the company has changed in a positive direction as a result of Hank reaching out. They could have easily disregarded my review. But they chose to reach out in an effort to learn from what happened and attempt at making things right.

Back in October, our family flew with AirMilford on the return from Milford Sound, as part of a day tour to that location, in Fiordland National Park. Our pilot was Antony Sproull, a member of the family that owns and operates AirMilford. Being an airline captain, myself, I could not but notice Antony’s extreme professionalism and competence, two essential traits for any pilot to which he also added the traditional good spirit and welcoming stance we systematically observed throughout our 1-month stay in New Zealand. Our oldest, took the right front seat and Antony made a point of adding detailed commentaries about the technical aspects of the flight for my son’s benefit, while also managing to do the traditional intercom narration covering ground features and relevant stories about the places we flew over. Arriving in Queenstown, I was again very impressed how AirMilford facilities were top notch and very well kept, while all the planes in the fleet that were present seemed in immaculate condition. All in all, this was a very impressive and enjoyable experience, and I can only but wholeheartedly recommend AirMilford for your air travel needs in the region. Fantastic experience in a 10 seater plane piloted by Hugh Sproull. He provided excellent commentary after providing a thorough safety overview. Flight from Milford Sound to Queenstown only took a short 35 minutes. We had wonderful weather which allowed us to view the sound and surrounding mountains with clarity. Personnel at the airport terminal were professional and helpful. Highly recommend this reputable company for an air transfer from Milford sound to Queenstown.
