Overview
An island sanctuary without introduced predators, Kapiti Island is a nesting place for some of New Zealand’s rarest wildlife; the Little Spotted Kiwi, Kokako and Stichbird have all been re-introduced to the reserve. This tour is the simplest way to visit the island; aside from transport, visitors need a permit to visit the island. Your guide arranges your permit, so you can brush up on your New Zealand bird knowledge instead.
What to Expect
Your are few click away from booking an experience of a life time to one of New Zealand's conversation jewels; Kapiti Island. (No permit required we take care of that for you)

Soak up the beauty, hear the stories of the Ngati Toa Maori people, spot whales (in season) sea birds, rare and endangered native birds in their natural environment free of predators such as rats, stoats and possums.  Spot your favorites , Tui, Kereru the fat chicken, Mr Weka, critically endangered Takahae, Hihi commonly called the stich bird, NZ Falcon,  the saddle back scratching around on the ground, that's just to name a few, oh don't forget the fantail.

It may be tight. The trip leaves Paraparsumu beach at 8am and returns at about 2.30pm to 3pm. Then allow an hour to get to interIslander terminal.
