The hills around Wellington offer a spectacular backdrop for a cycling tour, but you don’t need to worry about biking uphill. This 4-hour electric bike tour takes all the effort out of cycling, so you can concentrate on admiring the sights and enjoying the views.
What to Expect
Meet your guide and small group of no more than 13 people on Queens Wharf in central Wellington in time for a 10am or 1.30pm departure (depending on option selected). After listening to the safety briefing, learn how to operate your electric bike and enjoy time to practice in a safe area before heading out.

Once you’re feeling comfortable, saddle up for a fun bike tour of Wellington, and follow your guide along the Wellington Waterfront. Glide along the seafront, passing the lively port and harbor, and the beaches of Oriental Bay. Continue along the Miramar Peninsula and leave the bustle of the city behind as you cycle along the scenic coast. Pause along the way at a local café, where you’ll have chance to enjoy a coffee or purchase sandwiches and cakes (own expense), before looping back towards the city.

Finally, climb up to the lookout point of Mt Victoria for an unforgettable view over Wellington, the Miramar Peninsula, and the ocean.

Your tour ends around 2pm or 5.30pm back in central Wellington.

Excellent— super accommodating!

These guys are great! The tour is great, the views are stunning, the bikes are well maintained, and the staff are incredibly accommodating and honest. I accidently booked my tour on the wrong day and yet the staff jumped through hoops to accommodate our schedule.

Wow what a great way to see Wellington. We are in our early sixties and it has been at least 30 years since we have been on a bike but the e-bikes were easy to use and great fun. Our guide took us around the...More

Great adventure on 2 wheels

This was total fun and very memorable. We are 60'ish and my wife was a tad nervous about being on Ebikes. But they have good bikes with ample power. This is the way to see the city on a short cruise day. We zoomed around...More

Great way to get your bearings in Wellington and burn a few calories.

You essentially travel along the Wellington waterfront on shared cycle/pedestrian paths and occasionally on the road in a cycle lane. You stop along the way for commentaries from your guide. Nice morning tea at a the "Chocolate Fish Cafe" out on Shelly Bay (n.b. at...More
