      Memorable family trip
We had a private charter for a large family group of 21 people. It was an amazing way to show all of the overseas family the beautiful Bay of Islands. Skipper Nick was excellent and knowledgeable. Everyone loved the trip, thank you

      Great Experience
A must to do. Trip advisor kept us well updated. The crew of the boat were very nice and polite. We managed to go through the hole in the rock as conditions permitted. We were lucky to see several Dolphins. Would highly recommend going with Bluebridge.

Absolutely fantastic cruise to island paradise.
What a fantastic trip we had today with the Island Getaway crew. The cruise was stunning- first island stopover gave spectacular views of the Bay of Islands. Then onto The Hole in the Rock which we navigated through- an unbelievable experience. Second stopover on the island of Warwaetorea where many snorkelled or swam in the pristine waters of the Bay . Truly a slice of paradise. The crew Adam, Bluebell and Tish were fantastic- giving excellent commentary along the way. Treat yourself to this small - approximately 50 people cruise while you’re in Paihia . You certainly won’t regret it.

A must when you visit The Bay of Islands
A great experience with an enthusiastic crew. The sea was relatively rough on the day however the boat was really stable and took the water well. The islands we visited were stunning and the skipper impressively took us through the hole in rock. The sea at the hole in the rock was alive with fish, we’ve never seen so many and we were lucky enough to also see dolphins.

Great fun on Hole in the Rock cruise.
Nice boat and beautiful scenery on the trip but absolutely the best part was the captain and crew - very knowledgeable and helpful and with a sense of humor!

Lovely time but check with company what is included in your tour!
We had a very nice tour for 4.5hours. Very nice crew. The small boat takes around 50 People. From every side of the boat you have a good view so no need to stress about it. During our trip today, we saw blue penguins! No dolphins to be seen, but that is not the purpose of this tour. That is the hole in the Rock. Something to consider: - in the advertisement it says you can paddleboard. That is not true. At the 4.5hour tour there arent paddleboards. At the 3.5hour tour there is! We were stopping at the same island so we asked if we can use them too. The captain of that small boat said his own People have priority. Luckily there was one paddleboard available for my partner to use. But he was asked not to mention this to the rest of our boat. We find this very strange. It is the same company and on the advertisement it says paddle boarding. - It says in the advertisement small group of 20 People. This isnt true. It is around 50 People. Do's: take flipflops with you!! Its easy to get around with We had a lovely time!

Fantastic Afternoon in the Bay of Islands
I have done this tour many times before as I always take family and friends when visiting from the UK. This was however the best tour yet thanks to the young female captain and her crew mate who were a delight. We went through the Hole which I had never done before and saw lots of different reef fish when snorkeling as well as a little blue penguin on the journey back to Russell,

Super - not to be missed!
We joined the 9 a.m. tour today and it was so stunning out on the water. Such wonderful views and commentary from staff. We were able to go through the rock as the water was so calm. The two stops for swims or walks ( no pressure to do either) proved a positive thing and learning of the sea urchins was interesting. Super clean boat too! Congratulations to Nick, Ted and Floppy for making our day and others on board, a very enjoyable experience.

      Great cruise!
The staff were friendly, helpful, and accomodating at every turn. The scenery is stunning, and the local knowledge of the staff was the 'cherry on top' that enriched the spectacular views with nuggets of local history. This was a great afternoon out, just be sure to bring your swimsuit or maybe wetsuit outside of the summer months to make the most of the snorkelling opportunity.

      Well worth it
Super well organised. Staff were very attentive. Big swell so we didn’t go through the rock but still got to see it properly. Snorkel stop was excellent. Staff also made time to tell everyone interested about sea urchins. Seriously good trip and staff.

      Unmissable day trip
This trip exceeded my expectations. We were welcomed on board by skipper Hamish as well as Bluebell, Ted and Trisha, before setting sail to our gorgeous destinations. This trip had everything: from short hikes to stunning views; snorkeling with incredible marine life; kiwi tracks; sea urchin tasting; and even some Māori stories too, my favourite being Tetukatiamoana - the guardian of the Bay of Islands who can be seen on Motukokako Island. I enjoyed every minute. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to see the Bay of Islands in all its splendour. Thanks guys!

Me and my friends did the 3 hour afternoon cruise in January 2020. First, we went to a stunning viewpoint and then to a beautiful beach where we could try stand up paddling or snorkeling. Even though we only had 3 hours in total, the tour didn't feel rushed at all. Linford was an exceptionally good guide - he explained everything in detail and was super friendly! I highly recommend the tour!

Fantastic few hours visiting Motuarohia and Urupukapuka islands on a comfortable boat. Lin and Gaby were very welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. I tried paddle boarding for the first time and felt supported throughout. Great snippets of history, and stunning late afternoon/sunset views all round!

This was a great trip and Jake and Blue made sure that everything was perfect. The boat ride was great and Jake mad sure that the speed we were travelling at was safe and comfortable. When the boat pulled in to shore they had a special ramp that was lowered down so that we did not have to jump off into the water. The morning tea on the beach was nice. It was a tough climb to the top of the mini mountain but well worth it once you made it. Traveled to another island where we had lunch and enjoyed a snorkel and paddle board.

Nick and Leon were excellent tour guides who clearly explained some of the interesting history behind the Bay of Islands. The activities were an excellent addition as we enjoyed seeing the marine life close-up while snorkelling, as well as giving paddleboarding a go.

Overall, this is a fantastic experience for gaining a glimpse into the Islands while having a bit of fun. We even saw some dolphins (although this was not intentional).

Do keep in mind that the experience is 3.5 hours long, so it will not be for everyone if you are looking to spend a whole day exploring

The tour was breathtaking and the team was very nice and helpful. It was also a small group, which I really liked. Everyone had a great view of the islands. The snorkeling and stand up paddling was really great. I have never done stand up paddling before, but the team instructed me well and I was able to enjoy the time on the water to the fullest. Thank you for this great tour.
I can recommend them to everyone.

Really fun cruise. Small group which was really nice. The guides were friendly and helpful. Loved snorkelling and paddle boarding. Only suggestion is to probably have more than 4x paddle boards for a group of 20

Myself and my friend recently went out on the afternoon cruise with Lin and Gaby. Both were very knowledgeable and provided us with a continuous stream of information throughout the trip. We stopped off at 2 islands, enabling us to walk up to amazing viewing points and spend time on quiet coves. Snorkelling equipment and paddle boards were provided for everyone on board to use, so we were never short of something to do. Added bonus of spotting and swimming with a stingray in one of the coves. Highly recommend this trip- great value for money. Thank you both!!

Fab crew, beautiful islands and perfect amount of time. Lin & Eloise as our crew were friendly, fun and helpful sharing stories of the islands and getting us safely to and from two beach landings. Excellent hike up a small hill with amazing views of the islands. Snorkeling and SUP at another island and very calm bay - excellent teaching Eloise! Tips: bring water, snacks, wear bathing suit as no changing areas. Thanks to the team for flexibility in picking us up in Russell and dropping us off in Paihia

Had a great trip with Captain Wayne and Josh. Fabulous time on the water: great trip to an island hike with spectacular views, and on to a small bay with no one else for SUP and snorkeling. Would do this trip again and again. Great value; great crew.

Mate, if you want value for money look no further.

I'm terrible with names, so I've forgotten the name of our skipper. Don't mistake my lack of short term memory for him not being memorable. The bro was amazing, caring, fun, and full of knowledge.

He went out of his way to help my son build a hutt on the beach. Perfect pronunciation of Maori words really shows he is in touch with paihia and the culture. Everyone felt safe, comfortable and by the end of the trip everyone left with smiles.

Found out he went to a rival school to myself, we never had any animosity ;)
