Fun, informative, tasty way to discover Auckland
Feb. 2020 • Couples
I just wanted to thank you for making the food tour happen especially for us at such short notice and accommodating our tight schedule. As you predicted, we loved spending the afternoon with Jono who is passionate and knowledgeable about Auckland and has a charming engaging personality. He not only accommodated our diets but he ended our tour on a sweet high note with hokey pokeys from Giapo. This was on my husband’s ‘must go to’ list.

A great introduction to Auckland and it's wonderful food scene.
Jan. 2020
We've found food tours are a tasty way to learn about a city, its geography, history, and culture. This food tour of Auckland was no exception. Colleen picked us up at our hotel for our private tour. Being Saturday, we were able to experience a farmer's market where we sampled local delicacies from the countryside. What a treat. But a great food tour is about more than just food. Colleen led us through an unexpected tour of the Auckland Domain Wintergarden and Fernery. Really beautiful! A visit to Mt. Eden and a wonderful gourmet shop for a sampling of New Zealand's finest cheeses followed. Our tour was topped off with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. We really enjoyed our tour with Colleen and heartily recommend it to others.

Wonderful Intro to Auckland
Dec. 2019
My adult daughter and I booked this tour and had the good fortune to be picked up at our hotel by Colleen for what wound up being a private tour! Colleen gave us such a wonderful overview of Auckland - touring, driving us and teaching and orienting us the whole time about the history and interesting facts of the city. We tasted many local foods in interesting settings, and we covered so much area to see iconic overlooks/views and markets. Although it was a food tour, she also did such a great job as an intro to New Zealand - Colleen is a charming, warm, and knowledgeable tour guide and made the tour a very fun, lovely launch into our journey.

This is why I do a food tour in every city I visit. Elle’s knowledge and passion of food is what I love. And you visit little gems that you wouldn’t find on your own. I wish I had more time here to enjoy the restaurants, and maybe next time her little vineyard. Thanks again Elle.

There were only 2 people in our group and it was a great experience. Elle's knowledge and passion and friendliness shone through. The selection of places to visit gave a wonderful range of tastes and new food experiences. Pick up and drop off from hotel was timely. Highly recommended this tour.

A company that can only succeed - highly recommended
Oct. 2019
We were lucky in only having a small group of 4 with our guide being the business owner, Elle, who was lovely, knowledgeable and passionate about food, farmers, Auckland and New Zealand. Should have done this tour first in having a look around Auckland, the history and visiting places that are relevent and interesting. Elle was very engaging and with more people like her in the industry, New Zealand with bust with tourists.

Amazing Food and Fantastic Guides
Jul. 2019 • Family
We did 2 outings with this group. The first one was a food tour with great stops but it was our guide Elle that made it special. She is very knowledgeable, has great stories and is so much fun. When we told her that we had an afternoon free and didn’t know what to do she gave us a bunch of ideas. When we mentioned that we wanted to go to one of the black sand beaches she arranged a reasonably priced private tour.

The second tour was with Colleen. She was amazing as well. She is also very knowledgeable and fun. She took us to the beach and we made a few foodie stops along the way. The last stops was the most amazing artisan ice cream stop! Another fantastic day. This is a must for foodies and for people who love to chat with locals.

Thank you so much Shawn. It was our pleasure to host you and we are delighted that you chose two tours with us. It was a delight to meet you both and we're very grateful we had the opportunity to show Auckland off even if it was wild and windy weather. I hope we get to see you again. Best wishes and hugs to you both. Elle

Splendid way to experience Auckland in a few hours!
My wife and I were lucky to be the only ones in the group with Colleen as our guide. It was the highlight of our stay in the city!
We hit a coffee roaster, a pastry shop, an eclectic food store for tastings of food and cheese, lunch at the Auckland Fish market and finishing up at an amazing ice cream tasting!

Colleen was a wonderful, knowledgeable and personable guide and made this a full experience with lots of laughs! Also we traveled around the city a bit in a SUV and got some trivia and sights to look at as well!
We loved the relaxed pace with time between eating sessions that we appreciated a lot. Different from other tours where food comes hard and fast at you!

Highly recommend and definitely book in advance - we might have been too lucky!!

Auckland Insider Food Tour
We were fortunate enough to have Colleen all to ourselves on a beautiful, sunny day in Auckland. This tour felt more like a day with a friend! We started with a delicious stop at a coffee shop just in time to see the beans roasted and have a cup of coffee. Then, it was onto a pastry shop where we enjoyed some amazing vegan goods. From there, we ventured around Auckland, through Ponsonby, and to the Seafood Market where we had a delicious lunch and our first taste of NZ beer! On the way around town, Colleen was informative and so funny! We really enjoyed our tour AND her great recommendations for drinks and dinner! We headed to White and Wong for drinks after the tour (and to check out the bathrooms) and then to Culprit for an amazing dinner! Thank you again, Colleen, for an amazing introduction to Auckland!
