Itinerary
- 827-905 Hay St, Perth WA 6000, AustraliaWe will meet you at the front of the theatre. We will be wearing a shirt with Capture the light Photographic Tours logo on.
- 1We will be exploring areas of Perth that have a lot to offer photographically and are areas often less frequented by locals and tourists alike as well as the more iconic locations. We will photograph laneways and back alleys , architecture, parks and the streets of Perth. There is a fair distance to walk (approximately 4km) but there is plenty to photograph along the way. At the mid point we will stop for morning tea (a drink and cake is included) and have a chance for feedback and discussion on what we have done so far. We will then head through a park, finishing at Elizabeth Quay. The tour is lead by a professional photographer who has a great knowledge of the area and also many years experience in instructing photographers from beginners to expert level.

- raoul10100 contributionsPerfect day.The one-day West Australian orchid tour was a fantastic experience. All was perfectly organized. We found many orchid species, and the nature was breathtaking. Anna-Mair knows all, is a warm and friendly person and a professional photographer. I even learned some new photo techniques. It was a great day!Written 21 August 2023
- 619jeffry0 contributionsHeartland of the Wildflower StateWestern Australia is known as "The Wildflower State." In Spring, the State comes alive with blooms. The Wheat Belt, especially around the regional centers of Mullewa, Mingenew and Carnamah, comes alive with flowers. This area north of Perth is the heartland of the Wildflower State.Written 12 August 2023
- 829pauletted0 contributionsMost fascinating tourWe thoroughly enjoyed our tour today. Richard was an excellent guide, very personable and a wealth of information. He told us all kind of interesting facts and showed us some really amazing architecture! Highly recommend this tour. We learned so much about the area and discovered so many places to go over the rest of our trip!Written 8 February 2023
- Ella F0 contributionsAmazing wildflowers , sunset and AstroWhat an amazing tour. Wildflowers and orchids everywhere - managed to get shots that were sharp - even of the smallest thanks to Anna-Mair. Locations were awesome - no crowds even on a long weekend ( they sure know the best locations) . Pinnacles were amazing at the golden hour and we were treated to a spectacular sunset with the Pinnacles in the foreground. A bbq dinner was followed by Astro - I finally got a shot of the Milky Way! A truly great day. Can recommend this tour and Capture the Light highly enough. Anna- Mair is a fantastic teacher. She is patient, easy to learn from and has a great knowledge of photography . I use a Panasonic and my partner a Nikon but this was no problem as she clearly know the cameras well and how to get the best shots. Thank you for an amazing tour. Would recommend them to anyone visiting Western AustraliaWritten 30 September 2019
- EECollins0 contributionsAmazing wild flowers and photo experienceMy wife and I are photo enthusiasts and love gardens and wild flowers. Anna- Mair did a great job locating the best sites for viewing wild flowers and educating us in best practices for difficult photography. We learned a lot, had an enjoyable day and ended with some great images. Highly recommended for visitors to Perth.Written 29 September 2019
- Angela L0 contributionsWildflower toursGreat wildflower tours by Capture the Light. Great locations throughout Perth and the outback with beautiful wildflowers (spider orchids where amazing!) As a beginner I got great tips using an ordinary camera and got some great macro shots of the flowers. The attached photo was taken with a five year old Sony HX300.Written 2 September 2019
- ruthj_100 contributionsCity walkGreat afternoon despite the rain ! We visited quirky little lanes with lots of street art, lots of different types of architecture and Anna- Mair showed us different ways to get great shots. We did an inside shoot at one of the churches and I learnt a lot about lighting as well. Overall a great informative afternoon.Written 7 August 2019

Anna-Mair’s expertise is as vast as her patience and whether she is trained in good pedagogy - it’s built into this experience. There’s time yo rehearse and repeat techniques, her selected ‘gems’ are worthy locations that I would not have connected with had I not been supported to explore views, shadows & light in a different way. I am feeling confident with my new camera for the first time and ready to use my new skills to explore!

Hello, I am seeking an answer as to whether I could buy a voucher to cover the cost of this tour or pay for 2 people to do it but allow them to choose their date and book later. In which case how would they do that.
When actually do these tours run anyway?
Thanks Bruce

You can either book a voucher or book a date and change it later. Sorry for the delay in replying but for some reason your message did not come through
