      Captivating sea transfer
Fun and efficient trip with friendly crew, taking in the coastal and open-water sights. Nice touch with the free frozen treat each way.

      Two people in Roto
Two day at the camp site. Great trip over on ‘Sea Link’ the trip over was so easy, close to Freo station, round the corner the SeaLink checkin, 100 metres the boat.

      Rottnest visit
This was a great tour for our middle age plus fam members to see the sites around the island. Everyone was friendly and it went perfectly to time. The ferry was easy to catch, clean, felt safe and efficient.

      Fun in the Sun
Rottnest Island was amazing! We hiked, cycled, and snorkeled, with everything easily booked online. The quokkas were adorable, and the island's restaurants were fantastic. Perfect for a special day with family, friends, or a partner. If you love the outdoors, it's the place to be.

      Ditch the Tour
Time management was poor. Only a few minutes to get out of the bus at a few stops. Would recommend just getting a bike and ditching the tour so you can spend time looking around.

      Totally recommend!
What an amazing day! Sealink ferries were on time and I loved the offer of icy poles for the crossing. The Luxe Seafood cruise was not super clear on where it left from but we found it and had a ball. The chef provided amazing small courses throughout the journey. The flavours were amazing. They even catered for people not eating seafood! We loved our swim and the floating mat when we anchored in calm waters, and appreciated the shark deterrent. Hauling up the lobster pots was made into a very fun activity where we could put our hand up to help. We learnt a lot about lobsters. The crew were amazing! Ti brought the energy and positivity all the way through, while being very alert to all potential issues and casually ensuring safety at all times e.g. making sure ropes were not going to catch anyone. She is incredible! The crew were always present to assist with anything we wanted, and provided lots of water, sunscreen etc to help keep us safe. Our captain was excellent and made us feel safe, while also being very fun. I can be a bit of an old Health and Safety worrier - but this crew were so fun while being so professional. Can't wait to save the money and go again!

Felt like a privileged passenger, not part of the cattle
The boat, the service, was nothing but excellent, unfortunately I had a fall going on the boat, the staff looked after me, and I was very impressed by the standard of the boat, cleanliness, and overall service

      Fab first visit to Rotto
Great day trip to Rotto. Booked tickets on line day before departure. Travelled from Perth to Fremantle and got the 7:00am ferry as wanted to be there early. Didn’t end up hiring bikes as they were all booked out on line. But will def do this next time. Quick 30 min voyage. Spotted our first Quokkas and did our selfies when we first arrived as pretty quiet. . Ended up with 3 separate photo shoots during the day. Walked to the military section and explored the heritage sites. So much to learn about the part the Island had in the war etc. back to the settlement for lunch and refreshments at the pub. Such a lovely spot. Getting busy around lunch time as more people arriving on the ferries. after exploring the lighthouse section and beaches we left on the 2:30pm ferry as we wanted some time in Fremantle too. I think next time we will stay the night and get bikes. So much more to explore - but for our first trip it was amazing. Lovely beaches, lovely Quokkas. Only thing I was surprised at was some of the state of the houses in the settlement. Could do with a clean up!

      Overnight trip
Expensive trip to get to family. Must now be on par with IOW ferry or more expensive!!! $101.50 for an overnight return for an adult. Definitely prices many out of the enjoyment of Rotto. Although competitors pricing relative. Entrance price for island adds sting in the tail, along with cost to use bus. Staff pleasant, efficient and effective completing their jobs. Free icy pole included on outward trip though 😀

Interesting but unorganised at the ferry end when disembarking.
Really nice tour starting with a return ferry trip with entertaining , pleasant staff. Ship clean and captain pointing out dolphins etc.( Make sure before boarding that your ticket is the kind with a scanning code or you will have to get it exchanged at the booth, right at the top of the walkway and be delayed.) Once docked at Rottnest it is a short walk to the main area where there are volunteers to help you and give you maps of the island. There are very many variations of trips and there should be someone there to show you where the railway station is for example as it is not clearly signposted. We only just made it for the ride to the guns. Really nice stay on the island and of course the quokkas to see in the very crowded cafe areas. They don't seem bothered by the people if following the rules. Informative talk about the guns and a picnic lunch at the top of the hill then a return coach to the town stopping off at viewpoints. Can't fault the trip or the ferry except for the confusion once landed as to where to go first for which trip! Beaches were amazing and there are bikes to hire but it would be hot work!

      Great trip
We went using sealink ferries. They were a good choice, friendly efficient and on time both ways. The island is lovely and great to cycle around. There are lovely beaches nice places to eat and of course the quokkas that are very cute. Well worth a visit

      Flies all around
Too many flies, it's annoying so much. Would the government try to fix it? There's quokka poo everywhere, the enviorment In Rottnest Island is very poor, need to be improved.

I was on the ferry that departed at 4pm on 7th Jan from Rottnest to Fremantle, at the time of the tragic seaplane crash that occured.

    The crew were amazing.

Many would have seen the accident happen, potentially known the pilot or people involved.

They stepped up at the time, asking passengers to not take photos or use their phones, respecting the unfolding incident and the sensitivity of the situation; which I believe everyone did, it was amazing leadership from the crew, at a time of certain distress for many of them. They communicated to passengers in an extremely caring and understanding manner, suggesting that if anyone needs help to talk a little what had just happened, the services of lifeline and other such organisations are available.

The care and professionalism was exceptional, the boat crew that day saw something nobody should experience, someone’s worst nightmare and last moments alive - yet they had the ferry’s passengers welfare in their minds the whole time - it’s really had an impact on me just how amazing they were.

I can’t begin to express my deep thoughts and condolences for the crew on that day - they are very special people and I hope they are looking after themselves, and want to thank them for what they did on that trip.

If anyone is headed to Rottnest - this company to travel with, they are genuinely caring and amazing people.

My wife and I booked this ferry and bike hire a few days before we were to go to the Island. The customer service agent was very friendly and helpful. On travel day the crew was polite and professional, the boat was clean and on time. We had rented two bicycles to ride around the island; my wife's bike worked fine but after we got started my bike would only shift between 5th and 6th gears...this made hill climbing a bit tough (though I did all of them). We were too far along to try to return and get another bike so I dealt with it. I reported the malfunction when I returned the bike but I didn't see anything get written down for later action. I recommend this ferry operator but recommend you give your bike a good road test as soon as you can so you can swap out a bike (if available) if needed.

We are citizen in Perth and did a day trip with a family of 4 to Rottnest on 24 SEPT 23. (School holiday) The staff are well trained and the ferry is above average class and very clean. Both Rottnest express and sealink take you to Rottnest around 30mins leaving from Bshed, Oçonnor landing, Victoria Quay in Fremantle. (Do check for special discount online) We ended up choosing Sealink because it is slighty better presented and better class. We had a great fun meeting the quokkas, sightseeing, visiting the lakes, swim on the ocean and local shops. 5 star recommend if you are tourist and looking to experience WA. *Eshed/Bshed has a max. 4hrs parking limit. We park at Collie security parking $11 for wholeday. Rottnest express/North port parking allow you to park for whole day for $12.

In booking Sealink transport for my WA relatives over the phone from interstate, I found the consultant, Meika I believe is her name, to be very personable and articulate in conveying her company’s product. So much so, I felt the need to do this review.

I found the person to person experience informative and extremely pleasant, particularly given my limited knowledge of transport options and Rottnest Island.

I look forward to hearing from my relatives that Meika’s customer service is matched by her colleagues when my relatives take their Rottnest Island short holiday.

We did the Fremantle- Rottnest return ferry trip. The boat was on time, clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely and handed out ice lollies and cold towels. The island was incredible! Quokkas everywhere. We rented bikes there which were quite expensive ($30 per push bike) so I’d recommend bringing your own if you have one. We will definitely be going back with SeaLink to do some snorkelling on the island

Cancellation policy needs review. Attempted to cancel 5 days in advance of departure date due to covid close contact awaiting test results and requiring isolation. This company does not offer refund of ticket and takes a very hefty cancellation fee - pretty much you entire ticket fee. Very disappointed.

Every member of staff were wonderful and special mention to the young staff on the boat who were flat out tending to all the sick passengers. Well done. You did a great job in horrible circumstances. We had horrendous seas and at least 75% of the passengers were sick. The rating was hard to determine because we cannot fault the crew or the ferry itself however we would have appreciated a heads up before embarking so we cld have made a decision to abort our trip. The much extended travel time meant such a short time on the island that all we had tine for was the hop on bus ( which was grt but no time to hop off anywhere) - not even time to enjoy a sit down lunch - tho we didn't feel well enough to eat after the trip anyway.

It’s a lovely island where people enjoy biking around it and snorkeling in the many beautiful beaches. However, the transport system was most unsatisfactory. The crowd size overwhelmed the bus capacity ( it was during the January peak season) which meant it was unwise to make more than one stop, since waiting to get onto the bus occupied most of our time.
The authorities must either increase the number of buses available or cut the inflow into the island. The desire for revenue should not come at the expense of the unwitting tourist being deprived expecting of a great visit.

We were so lucky to have such amazing crew. Not only did they provide a great cruise from CBD to Rottnest, with some very interesting recorded commentary for us to listen to - but they stopped for such an amazing moment: many whales swimming alongside! I think in the end we counted around six whales. What a beautiful time!!!

SeaLink provide a fabulous service. Regular schedule times to and from the island work well, ferry is always clean and has a number of seating options. The hire bikes are hands down the best option of all bike hire options.
