About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- J791HEambert0 contributionsFantastic tour with a fantastic guideThe week was so good ! There’s lots of driving but you see so much in the week it’s definitely worth it. Geoff was our tour guide and he was amazing. Informative, fun, friendly and clearly passionate about the job, which makes such a difference. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see lots of WA !Written 17 November 2024
- Sara G0 contributionsA Trip Full of Awe and Wonder! This was an outstanding four day adventure which included so many amazing sights and activities! The Pink Lake, Shell Beach and Kalbarri were awesome! The cherry on the cake though was of course the amazing dolphin experience at Monkey Mia! Just stunning! We were also so lucky with our guide, Erin, who was enthusiastic, friendly and supremely knowledgeable, and our small group of five were in very safe hands with her as our leader! The accommodation was clean and comfortable and although the drives were long, there were plenty of breaks along the way! This trip is a MUST for anyone visiting Western Australia as it provides a fantastic snapshot of what this vast and beautiful country has to offer!Written 12 November 2024
- alexandradR7840MD0 contributionsSnorkeling at turquoise bay stole my heartThis tour is the best way to visit one part of the West Coast when not enough time to do it on your own. Abseiling and snorkeling with turtles and manta rays was awesome! Our guide Geoff was amazing, from day one he shared his passion for Australia and especially for this tour and made it so much better for us!! Wouldn't have been the same without him, so a huge thank you. I also met lovely people from around the world of all ages. Had a lot of fun THANKSSWritten 9 November 2024
- M0ragI0 contributionsUnforgettable ExperienceMe and my partner went on this trip last week and we had such an incredible time! The scenery was amazing & our guide Geoff was so great - really friendly and informative and he always went the extra mile to make sure everyone had the best experiences possible. We particularly loved seeing a mother turtle nesting on the beach - huge thanks to Geoff for his dedication in finding her! We would really recommend going on this trip, we had such a fun time 😊Written 8 November 2024
- larakX8068QK0 contributionsPerth to ExmouthThe tour was absolutely amazing, I enjoyed it from start to finish. Our tour guide Geoff was an absolute legend, he went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a good time and felt comfortable, taking his time and effort to make this trip unforgettable by his knowledge and expert wildlife spotting. Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better guide! You’ll be spending a lot of time on the bus some days, which is definitely something to take into consideration as the bus is not very spacious, but with the frequent rest stops and Geoffs interesting informations, it’s definitely doable! Thank you again Geoff, we had the trip of a life timeWritten 7 November 2024
- klasbertilj0 contributionsA fantastic tour!Last week's 6 day tour was a memory for life. Very much because our guide and driver, Geoff. You could really feel his passion for traveling and guiding this type of tour. He made many stops along the way and had always something interesting to tell. Everything was well organized and we newer had any delays. Not from Geoff, nor from the group members. Our guide did not spare any effort to make us feel comfortable and well informed. In the beginning I was a bit skeptical to the bus. A midsized Mitsubishi that had been in service for a while. But after days trawling I could se the benefits. It was very robust and functional for a trip like this. Small enough to get access to remote beaches etc. Effective air-conditioning with adjustable outlets for every seat, and we could hear Geoffs sharing all his stories loud and clear through the speaker system. In the evenings we all joined to prepare dinner, and afterwards do the dishes. For us, who where the oldest on the tour (all retired) it gave nice opportunities to chat with the other guests on the tour. Most of them in their twenties. We made new friends. Overall the tour was better than expected. And I give Geoff 10/10. More of what we saw and did you can read about in the day-by-day tour program.Written 6 November 2024
- Scenic453007208460 contributionsWestern Australia 7 day tourThe tour was full on with over-night stops, excursions, barrier reef snorkeling , swimming with manta rays, dolphin viewing, abseiling, hikes in national park, first-time wildlife sightings, geological points of interest, great photo opportunities and more. I had never experienced the vastness of Western Australia before and swum in the Indian ocean. Geoff, who lead the tour was both knowledgeable and well-organised. He kept us well-informed throughout the tour. Geoff was amply supported by his assistant Doug. I would recommend WA tour to anyone with a sense of adventure.Written 28 October 2024
- 202aislinnf0 contributionsAmazing trip with Geoff and DougHad an amazing trip with Geoff and Doug. We were well looked after and the trip was well organised. Couldn’t have asked for more attentive guides. We had a fab itinerary and saw lots of wildlife. Swimming with mantarays was definitely a highlight ☺️Written 27 October 2024
- Z684QRsabrinab0 contributionsAmazing trip, excellent tour guideThis trip was well worth the price. I went with my boyfriend and we had an amazing time with all the excursions and with the fun group of fellow passengers. We saw so much amazing wildlife and gorgeous view of the coast. The trip was a great balance between included excursions, optional additional excursions, free time etc. It was very well planned out. And we couldn’t have imagined a better tour guide, Danny was excellent! He was extremely informative about the itinerary and knowledgeable about where we went and what we saw. And he kept us all laughing along the way too. He is amazing at his job and clearly has a lot of experience. He even was able to get us on the whale shark tour super last minute and did everything he could to ensure everyone had the best experience. We were definitely sad for it to end.Written 17 October 2024
- jesscw860 contributionsBrilliant trip from canyons to coralAmazing trip, would definitely recommend! We had Danny for a guide who was excellent- very knowledgeable, friendly, and good fun. The scenery is incredible, everyday bought something stunning. There is a lot of driving (unavoidable given the geography) but completely worth it. There are lots of well considered optional activities (although never any pressure to take them)-I went snorkelling with mantas in Coral Bay and it was one of the best experiences of my life!! Only minor quibble is that this is very much a 5 day/5 night trip if you stay in Exmouth (the same bus returns to Perth for the longer tour)-this is clear in the detailed itinerary but the marketing is a touch misleading. We had a very mixed group-ages teen to seventies but it worked very well. Predominantly twenties and thirties but enough flexibility to suit everyone. I would certainly use this company again!Written 17 October 2024
- Mobile207495106040 contributionsCoastal loop to Monkey Mia via Kalbarri and the PinnaclesHad a very good trip and was able to participate in all the activities. Geoff was a good guide and made sure that I could cope with the walking involved. Monkey Mia was excellent with our accommodation overlooking the sea. There is a good deal of time spent driving as the distances are considerable. The vehicle used was not particularly comfortable and the seats did not recline at all and there were no places to store things on the back of the seat in front. Fortunately the bus was not full so we were able to utilise the empty seats for storage.Written 16 October 2024
- 175rhiannac0 contributionsFantastic tour!Just finished the Perth the exmouth tour and wow what a week! Our guide Geoff was amazing, made everyone feel included, nothing was ever to much! His passion for travel and tour guiding was evident. It’s so hard to pin point the best part of this tour! Snorkelling in the Ningaloo was a highlight of the trip, not to mention all the stunning beaches visited on route, along with the sunsets and sunrises. Fantastic week. If you’re thinking about doing the tour, just got for it!Written 13 October 2024
- ashuitson0 contributionsAmazing sights, history and experiences. A brilliant way to see northern WA!A fabulous 7 day tour seeing WA! Our tour guide Geoff was exceptional, he was knowledgeable about all our visiting locations, aboriginal history and wildlife seen on tour. He was friendly, shared great stories with us and kept us all organised! We had a great group of fellow travellers, with a wide age range but everyone was friendly and by the end we all felt like good friends! The tour involves travellers helping to prepare meals and clean up together but this really encourages getting to know each other and feeling less like strangers. The tour covers a vast distance of WA so expect long hours on the bus! However the places visited are worth the journey. So glad I did this tour as part of my travellers in Australia! Made memories I won’t forget!Written 13 October 2024
- coleenn3790 contributionsGreat tour of WA highlightsThe tour was brilliant and covered all of the main highlights… and more between Perth and Exmouth .Geoff our tour guide and bus driver went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable with regular toilet/rest stops ( max time on the bus ~ 2hrs) . Daily grocery store stops were helpful for stocking up on essentials / snacks. There were 22 in the group with a big age range which made for great conversations during our lunch breaks ( consisting of sandwiches / wraps) and our camp-style dinners where everyone pitched in with prep and cleaning. Dinners included things like chicken stir fry, spag bol and burgers and varied each night and there was plenty to go round. There was great variety in activities and scenery on the tour from tropical beaches to desolate outback and everything in between it was a great way to see so much in a short space of time . Shared dorms were mainly mixed gender and 6- 10 bed - usually arrived late and left early so they were fine for a quick night’s sleep ! Everything ran seamlessly and this was down to Geoff who took great care and had planned for every eventuality he couldn’t have done any more for us and each day ran like clockwork along with his informative commentary. The only downside was perhaps the bus being a small bit cramped with no overhead storage for day- packs but not a huge issue !Written 13 October 2024
- Richard R0 contributionsIncredible experience from Perth to ExmouthOne of the best group tours we have ever done. Geoff the guide & driver was fantastic - worked incredibly hard to make sure everyone was able to enjoy all that the remote coast had to offer. There were long drives but plenty of breaks and the incredible experiences at all the main stops were worth all the driving - sunrise at Nature’s Window (Kalbarri National Park), dolphins at Monkey Mia, swimming with Manta Rays (Coral Bay) and Whale Sharks (Exmouth). We selected the private accommodation (not the shared dorms) and they were all excellent - especially the beach front unit at Monkey Mia. The food was camping style with everyone pitching in to help prepare & clean up. Overall a brilliant way to see the coast from Perth to Exmouth and I would highly recommend Autopia. Thanks Geoff for all your efforts on a great tour.Written 12 October 2024

I cannot recommend this tour. The bus was old and uncomfortable and didn't provide any storage space for bags nor seat pockets. The first stop was at a gas station; one would expect the bus to be fueled before the tour starts. There was no water or anything provided on the bus. The stop at the Nilgen lookout didn't happen. The "tour guide" didn't provide any meaningful information. The "sunset dinner" consisted of cheap food from a supermarket and was served in a public seating area at the entrance of the park. (We saw other tours that came with picnic tables and chairs and sat among the pinnacles.) The stargazing didn't happen because of an overcast sky; I would have expected a more professional handling of the weather rather than just saying "let's go back to the bus". Overall, we paid US$118 for a bus ride worth US$20, food worth US$10 and entrance fee US$6. No good value for money.

It would be great if the itinerary can be updated and amended to be more accurate as a few stops did not materialized, notably Yanchep National Park and Hangover Bay. We spent 20 minutes at Lancelin lookout where we see the ocean and sand dunes from a distance. We did not go and explore the actual sand dunes which would probably needed the 60 minutes as stated in the itinerary.
Positives
We have a great guide and we enjoyed her hospitality and commentary. Our guide prepared a great picnic dinner for us too while we're at the Pinnacles. We did stopped at Nilgen Lookout but too bad there's no flowers as not in season. Pinnacles sunset experience was great, however a little bit of clouds at night so didn't get to do much stargazing. Our guide was a very safe driver and probably saved the overall tour experience for us.
Just update and amend the itinerary on your website and all's good. I would recommend if the itinerary was updated more accurately.

Thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Having a small group made such a difference. Our guide/driver, Laura, was excellent in that she provided knowledgeable commentary throughout the day but knew when to step back and leave us to our own devices. The ‘dinner’ was more of a picnic but very enjoyable consisting of cheese platter, cold meats and salads. Champagne was also provided. The stars were phenomenal. Would certainly recommend this excursion.

Our guide/driver Emma did an outstanding job as our tour leader for this trip. She looked after everyone's needs and I commend her for her excellent driving skills through the pouring rain we encountered on our trip home.
We did enjoy our ten hour journey but there are a few things that the company could improve on.
The bus is very uncomfortable withnoleg room and there is no area to store back packs.
Advertising is misleading as we expected to have our dinner (which was delicious) surrounded by the pinnacles and not in a shelter near the car park. I realise this would require a lot more effort but from the advert one presumed that we did. The same for the stargazing.
Once again I give Emma 10 out of 10 for her informative knowledge. t The overall the tour only rates a 3 out of 5.

G'day,
Thank you for your feedback.
Firstly I'm really glad Emma was able to make such a good impact on your tour.
We are always looking to make improvements to our tour.
We would like to be able to offer dinner in the Pinnacles but unfortunately if there is any wind then our meals would get covered in sand.
We are sorry the tour was not what you were expecting.
Please contact us directly if you would ever like to travel with us again so we can help you out with a discount.

It was a great experience, a one of a kind that leaves lasting memories from the awesome Pinnacle landscape to the amazing sunset & star gazing experience. The night sky was truly spectacular We were taken there by Autopia Tours & everything about the tour was highly professional. Geoff our tour guide did everything to make sure we enjoyed ourselves from start to finish & nothing was too much trouble. Very safe driver too. We were in good hands.

We had a wonderful tour guide by the name of Emma. She was very informative and answered all of our questions. We could not fault her. The tour itself however was average. They advertise that we go to the Niglen lookout however this is not the case. Instead, they take you to Wedge Lookout which really wasn't much to look at. The bus itself is a little outdated, and after a few hours sitting on the seats, let's just say things start to ache and hurt. We weren't blessed with the greatest of weather but Emma was amazing and did her best to set up the telescope when the clouds broke. The dinner was basic but I did enjoy it. It may not be to everyone's liking though especially for the price you pay for the tour.

We enjoyed our tour to the Pinnacles. But were disappointed with the Old mini bus that was very uncomfortable for the 2.5 hour trip each way.
Very disappointed with the picnic dinner that was some of the cheapest cut meat and chicken that we have ever eaten. And the telescope was virtually a non-event.
The tour was OK, but cannot recommend.

Our guide was professional and knowledgeable. She drove safely and was a good host. During the stargazing portion of our trip, she shared some great tips on how to find constellations and told us some aboriginal stories about them.
The stars were some of the best I've seen. if you're lucky enough to schedule this for a clear night you're in for a treat. Bring water with you or make sure to fill up in Lancelin. There isn't potable water in the park and you get there after the gift shop closes. Make sure to bring a warm layer if going in the winter. It gets cold quickly when the sun goes down.

This lived up to our expectations and more.
We were so lucky with the weather. Cloudy leaving Perth but by the tome we got to Lancelin the sun was shining and it was a lovely afternoon.
The meal we had provided was sumptuous and a glass or two of bubbles while watching the sunset capped off the trip. Once all dark the stars came out to entertain us, and brilliant they were.

Friends recommended the tour to us and we were thrilled to be able to see and experience it all. Jeff was a great guide who told us about the history of the Aborigines, about his life and took us to great places. Unfortunately it was not the right time of year to see the wildflowers, but we had more time to look around the Pinnacles. Warm clothes are a must, as it gets quite cold once the sun goes down. The tour is more than worth a recommendation, we would do it again any time. As we come from Germany, this was a unique experience.
