Great trip. Emma, driver, tour guide and host all rolled into one. She was great. Only draw back my husband is 6ft4". Seats did not have enough leg room for long trip.

          Disappointed! Duped!
Disappointed! A very, very old, noisy, basic bus with uncomfortable seats arrived to take us on our Pinnacles trip. The bus was messy and not as clean as should be. Old take away coffee cup… driver had things everywhere. When on board, we were told that the lavender farm was not happening and instead were taken to Yanchep National Park, a poor substitute. The company, Autopia, had known for some days that the lavender farm was not available yet did not make any effort to inform those who had purchased tickets in case they wanted to cancel booking. We were supposed to have “local produce “- didn’t happen! We were taken to the Lobster Shack where you had to purchase own food. Following lunch, to The Pinnacles, where our driver (guide???) pointed out the souvenir shop and toilets and the way in to the Pinnacles and said “be back at the bus in an hour “! The advertisement for this trip said a “guided walk “… We could have had more time at The Pinnacles as it was advertised as a nine hour trip, however we were back in Perth in 8 hours. There are other trips to the Pinnacles which are cheaper than this Autopia one and which also offer dinner and wine or a barbecue… this was expensive and a very poor experience! I booked through Trip Advisor so am disappointed with their affiliation with Autopia! I would not recommend anything Autopia!

          Good tour
The guide, Summer was friendly and knowledgeable and did a great job. My only negative would be I would have liked more time for the stargazing and to take some astrophotography. The stargazing felt a bit rushed. Overall a good tour.

          Pinnacles & Star gazing
Emma our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and organised. We really enjoyed her star gazing talk. Saw some lovely spots on the way to the pinnacles. We were there at sunset which was amazing.

An unforgettable adventure that far exceeded my expectations.
A trip of a lifetime! As a solo female traveller in my 50s I was nervous about joining a tour (I'd not done anything like this before), but I needn't have worried. The tour, and the whole experience, far exceeded my expectations - from my lovely fellow travellers of all ages and from across the world, to the things we saw and did - swimming with manta rays and whale sharks, abseiling and soaking up the beautiful scenery. And I can't forget our amazing tour guide, Geoff, who was both knowledgeable and caring, and went over and above to make sure everyone had an great time. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for an adventure into a truly spectacular part of the world. If you're thinking about it, my advice would be DO IT! Don't expect luxury accommodation or transport (the mini bus was a bit basic!) and everything done for you, but if you want a tour where you muck in and share together, then I think you'd be hard pushed to find a better tour than this. Thank you Geoff, Autopia, and all my fellow travellers, for an unforgettable experience I will never forget.

Fantastic time exploring the WA coast
We had an amazing time exploring the WA coast north of Perth. Our guide Geoff really made the trip all the more enjoyable with his comprehensive knowledge of the area and his incredible organizing skills to have the tour group running smoothly. He went above and beyond what was expected of him and we thank him for his making our trip so special. We got to see so much of the beautiful scenery and we had multiple bucket list experiences.

          Picturesque Pinnacles
We were lucky to have the lovely Emma lead our tour. She was friendly and knowledgeable about the places we visited. Unfortunately due to cloud coverage, we were unable to see the stars but Emma did her best to explain what we couldn’t see.

          The magical Pinnacles
We had a great trip with our guide Emma. Perfect amount of stops along the way and a great knowledge of the area. Unfortunately the clouds didn’t allow us much of a star gazing experience, but the pinnacles themselves were magical. Many photo opportunities at the pinnacles. I would recommend Emma as a host , really knew her stuff from the drive to the star gazing.

Emma a great guide. Tour average
Our guide/driver Emma did an outstanding job as our tour leader for this trip. She looked after everyone's needs and I commend her for her excellent driving skills through the pouring rain we encountered on our trip home. We did enjoy our ten hour journey but there are a few things that the company could improve on. The bus is very uncomfortable withnoleg room and there is no area to store back packs. Advertising is misleading as we expected to have our dinner (which was delicious) surrounded by the pinnacles and not in a shelter near the car park. I realise this would require a lot more effort but from the advert one presumed that we did. The same for the stargazing. Once again I give Emma 10 out of 10 for her informative knowledge. t The overall the tour only rates a 3 out of 5.

Guide was great but tour average
We had a wonderful tour guide by the name of Emma. She was very informative and answered all of our questions. We could not fault her. The tour itself however was average. They advertise that we go to the Niglen lookout however this is not the case. Instead, they take you to Wedge Lookout which really wasn't much to look at. The bus itself is a little outdated, and after a few hours sitting on the seats, let's just say things start to ache and hurt. We weren't blessed with the greatest of weather but Emma was amazing and did her best to set up the telescope when the clouds broke. The dinner was basic but I did enjoy it. It may not be to everyone's liking though especially for the price you pay for the tour.

Perth To Exmouth Tour in March 2024
I travelled solo on this tour in March 2024 and had the most amazing time. Our tour guide Geoff was great and he shared with us some amazing experiences including a guided snorkel and seeing turtles hatching and nesting on a secluded beach. Highlights include abseiling at Kalbarri, snorkelling at Turquoise bay and the whale shark tour (which you can do as part of the tour or extend your stay in Exmouth and do it separately as I did). Accommodation (I stayed in private) was lovely and meal times were fun as you got to help make lunch/dinner. Make sure to bring a big waterbottle and/or buy lots of water especially in warmer months.

Put it on your bucket list!
An amazing part of our beautiful country, an absolute must see when in WA. The sky at night is amazing! It is a long journey there and back to Perth, and would have been much more comfortable in a more appropriate bus. Whilst Barry the bus is cute, it is an incredibly small seating space, quite claustrophobic, with no leg room and nowhere for backpacks etc except for your lap 😒 Summer was a delight, a very knowledgeable tour guide and lots of fun. Thanks Summer!

          Great Tour Guide
We had an amazing experience on the Pinnacle, Lavender Field, and Lobster Shack tour with Andrea as our guide! She was incredibly punctual, ensuring we stayed on schedule while driving safely and comfortably. Andrea’s knowledge about the sites was impressive and she shared fascinating insights throughout the tour. One fun tip: if you hand Andrea your phone to take photos, you might find a few surprise selfies in your album! Her sense of humor and politeness added a delightful touch to the day. Highly recommend this tour and Andrea as your guide! She deserve a promotion and a pay raise. Thank you for the experience

I had an incredible experience on this tour - if you're wanting to explore WA's Coral Coast, then this is the trip for you!

Our tour was led by the amazing, Emma, who went above and beyond to make it a memorable trip. Emma immediately made everyone feel welcome the minute they stepped on the bus; she had brilliant a knowledge of WA which she was happy to share and discuss, and a great sense of humour which kept us all laughing during the long drives. Emma's energy and enthusiasm was contagious and definitely helped to bring our group together; I made friends & connections for life on this tour, so a huge thank you to Emma for helping to facilitate that!

Aside from our amazing tour guide & driver, this tour truly allows you to experience the BEST of the West Coast. You'll see the most beautiful landscapes at places such as Kalbarri and then swim in the most beautiful seascapes in Coral Bay/Exmouth. Definitely pay for the optional opportunity to go on the 'Manta Ray Eco Safari', it was a once in a lifetime experience and a brilliant day out on a boat!

There is a LOT of driving on this tour (3000+ KMs in 7 days!) but the driving is broken up really well with regular stops at roadhouses and smaller photo opportunities such as Port Gregory's Pink Lake, Eagle Bluff & Shell Beach. The bus was comfortable with powerful A/C and the bluetooth function meant we could all connect our phones, so had great music playing the majority of the time.

You prepare / cook the majority of the lunches & dinners as a group, so be prepared to get stuck in! The food is basic but yummy, and the experience of cooking food together really helped to bring the tour group together.

Overall, this was an amazing week and definitely a highlight of my time in Australia. Thank you Emma & Autopia Tours!

Thank you so much for such kind words about the Perth to Exmouth tour and most importantly about Emma! We're glad to know you enjoyed the tour to the fullest, that is indeed the trip of a lifetime in such a remote part of Australia. Definitely an unforgettable adventure :) Hope to see you again very soon on another tour! Kind regards, Luis

What a great road trip we had from Perth to Exmouth and back , incorporating Kalbarri, Monkey Mia , Coral Bay and the amazing Ningaloo Reef. We absolutely lucked in with our sensational guide Summar who as a solo guide was absolutely brilliant and a fantastic representative for Autopia Tours. Summar, as well as driving nearly 3000km in 7 days, also catered, organised, guided and did what needed to be done to ensure the tour was as memorable as it was. Everything Autopia promised in this tour Summar delivered in spades. And all delivered with a smile and super friendly attitude. The group on the tour gelled superbly thanks to Summar's efforts.
No doubt swimming with whale sharks and manta rays was our absolute highlight, and is something everyone should do in their lifetime. It is well worth the bit extra you pay as an optional tour.
Murchison Gorge, the marvellous Pink Lake, the Pinnacles and the amazing sand dunes at Lancelin were other spectacular sights not to be missed on this tour.
I would highly recommend the Coral Coast tour to anyone, especially if they are fortunate enough to have Summar as their guide.

Honestly, this tour was one of the best experiences of my life. Our amazing tour guide Geoff went above and beyond to make sure we all had an amazing time and I feel incredibly lucky to have had him as our guide. Not only that, he was a fantastic driver and managed to not only guide our tour, but drive all the way to Exmouth and back by himself, cooked us meals every day and still had the exited and upbeat energy from start to Finnish.
From watching the sun rise from the skywalk in kinbarri national park to watching the sun set at the lighthouse in Exmouth and seeing all of the amazing wildlife in between. I loved every second of this trip and made some very food friends along the way.
We got to swim with mantarays, reefsharks, sea turtles, whalesharks and tones of amazing fish in the ningaloo reef. We also got to see plenty of humpback whales while out on the boats for the snorkel tours, I highly recommend adding these on if its in your budget.

I would 100% recommend this tour if you have the chance to do it.

Had the most amazing time during this tour. You never know what your guide will be like and you have to be lucky, but damn we got lucky! Laura made the whole tour fun and interesting and she even showed us some extra things along the way. She made sure the drives in the bus felt so much shorter by entertaining us with stories, games, jokes and music. We even got the pleasure to sing with her during sunset on the beach while she played the guitar for us and sang us some of her own songs!
The (vegan) food I got during this tour was outstanding and from a level some other tours never reached. Just do yourself a favor and book this tour: you won’t regret it! While you are on the tour (if you are lucky enough to have Laura as a guide) don’t forget to ask her about her favorite fish taco’s.

°•○☆♡Alyssa♡☆○•° Our tour guide made our week easy, informative and fun. Each place we visited was explained with history stories and events and she also has extra books about the flora and fauna you are surrounded by on the tour.

There are plenty of stops for toilet breaks and leg stretching. Also good stops for supermarket shopping and snacks. Our bus was comfortable but i could have packed much lighter than i did. You dont need a pillow or sleeping bag with you.

If you are happy sitting in a bus looking out the window for hours, I highly recommend this tour.
You cover alot of ground and it's alot of driving which might not be for people who can't sit for too long.

All the stops were stunning, you really cover the most beautiful parts of the north west coast on this tour.

Alyssa did alot of work to keep everything running smoothly and on time each day and I was in awe of the amount of organization she had with 22 people in tow. She was a really awesome person to be lead by. Thanks so much for an amazing week Alyssa ♡

Positives. The sights on tour were amazing and Autopia crammed a lot into seven days and we learnt and saw more of WA than one could have imagined. Our guide/driver Geoff is five stars and an asset to his company especially as he drove 3,500 kms plus then bought food and prepared the meals with help from a few of us customers. He also changed the inner tyre of the rear double wheel in the hot middle of nowhere when we broke down.

Negatives. The poor accommodation was not what we paid extra for. The Vehicle was well past it's best and I would recommend buying a more modern one (even second hand) with more knee room, thicker and reclining seats - none of which we had. I'm 168cms and my knees were wedged - anyone else had to suffer. Bear this in mind as the last day but one is 900kms.

Verdict. Great trip for young backpackers.

We booked the trip wanting to see the Whale Sharks and by the end had seen and experienced so much more, due in a large part to our guide Geoff. He never stopped the whole 5 days we were with him up to Exmouth, making the trip run smoothly and putting a lot in to it, he always went that extra bit to make sure we had the full experience - stopping to see the Wedge tailed eagles on the side of the road, photos with the beware kangaroos sign, and enjoying to the full sunsets and sunrises. The add-ons were all excellent and we never thought we would see the Whale Sharks up so close. The range and amount of marine life that we saw at Coral Bay and Ningaloo was astounding - turtles, whales, dolphins, Tiger Sharks, coral, fish, Manta Rays and Whale Sharks. Col the abseil instructor was brilliant at his job making everyone feel at ease and making for a very enjoyable adventure.

I am just back from Autopia's 7-day bus tour to Exmouth which departed on June 23rd. This has honestly been one of the best weeks of my life - we saw and did so much in so little time! We could tell that our guide Alyssa was very passionate about the region; she provided heaps of information about each location and also made her own personal books on wildlife available to us during the bus drive.

Special thanks also to Anne-Laure who answered all of my questions about the trip in a timely & helpful manner in the weeks leading up to the departure.

I would highly recommend booking the whole trip far in advance so you don't miss out on the manta ray & whale shark swims (I completed my bookings in February).

These memories will forever hold a special place in my heart, and I warmly recommend Autopia's services to anyone looking to explore this incredible part of the world. I could write so much, but in summary, my experience of this tour was amazing!

We visited so many beautiful places, offering diverse scenery, mixing outback Australia with pristine coastlines, so much wildlife, and activities. The most was made of sunrises and sunsets, with something always to do, interspersed with enough rest times.

Some nice short walks, nothing too strenuous in the heat. Snorkelling and seeing the marine life was undoubtedly a highlight of the whole tour. My family chose to do a 2 hour snorkelling tour, and a whale shark swimming tour. If you can afford these, you should have no regrets; you certainly shouldnt be here without seeing the whale sharks.

I cannot list all the wildlife I saw on land, in the air, and in the water, but they included an echidna, emus, feral goats, eagles, sharks, an abundance of fish, turtles, dolphins, and of course the whale sharks!

Oh, beware the flies (seasonal?)! Bring a fly net for your head, or buy one at the earliest opportunity.

The weather in April was perfect, including hot. The bus was modern and comfortable. The whole tour experience was so well organised, and never felt rushed.

This was made possible by the fantastic Autopia guide, Geoff, plus we had the bonus of fellow guide, Summer (the tour is typically run by a single guide). Both were so friendly and helpful, and made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Geoff really demonstrated his knowledge and experience. He also explained all the activites and daily plans very clearly, and dispelled any possible concerns. Both were so enthusiastic and approachable; what a team! If you're lucky enough to have either of these two, you'll be in great hands.

The food was good, and plenty of it. It was rewarding to provide a helping hand with meal prep. Just be aware that drinks are not provided, so have plenty of water available, though usually there were options to purchase onsite and nearby.

Backpacker style accommodation varied from ok, to excellent. Everywhere was clean and tidy, but some older and more basic, some without airconditioning. I don't consider it an issue. Some days included very early starts, including 5 am breakfast. Have plenty of rest overnight to ensure you have energy the following day.

My whole extended family had a wonderful time, filled with so many fantastic memories. I cannot recommend this tour enough, and hope you can enjoy and experience it as I did.
