- gatspencer0 contributionsEasy, enjoyable tour with wonderful views around the whole stadium. It was really enjoyable to experience Optus Stadium from a different perspective. We attend football matches regularly in winter so to view the stadium from above was interesting & exciting. Our guide (Maia) was very informative and friendly. The stair climb is not difficult at all and I would highly recommend this tour to everyone even people scared of heights - it feels very safe at all times.Written 30 December 2024

Optus Stadium, also known as Perth Stadium, almost sent the Western Australian (WA) state goverment broke. Thet I$2 billion price tag paid for a great arena. It's the third largest stadium in Australia. Optus Stadium hosts a variety of sports and events, but the one that draws big crowds regularly is WA's Australian Rules football (AFL). home teams, the West Coast Eagles and Fremantle Dockers. Cricket is also popular. Optus Stadium will accommodate over 60,000 fans. The Burswood location is best accessed by public transport, though pedestrian bridges connect the Stadium to the City.

Where to begin?
This tour was amazingly informative. I was part of a group of 10 which was just about right to keep everything on a personal basis.
Our tour leader (Bruce) was very knowledgable and attentive. He showed us many wonderful views of the stadium and the surrounding Swan River, parkland, the beautiful Matagarup Bridge, Perth City, local sporting venues and many more picturesque views.
He did a great job of keeping us all together and interested in what he was telling us.
It was wonderful visiting the players change rooms etc. (although I would not fancy that cold bath treatment).
I guess that not many people would have had the priviledge of sitting in coaches or Statisticians rooms or even the seating areas of the rich (who could afford $800-00 per game?) etc....we did all that and more.
When viewing AFL games from Optus Stadium on TV, I will now look at things from a totally different perspective.
I would sincerely recommend this tour to both locals and visitors to WA.
We should all be very proud to have such a spectacular stadium in our midst.

Optus Stadium is a new facility, it's one of the largest stadiums in Australia, it will accommodate 60,000 spectators. It has a marvellous set up for fans and the layout for the competing teams is one of the best I've ever seen. The MCG may be bigger, but Optus Stadium has a real arena atmosphere. There's a very large pub in walking distance for after-game drinks. Optus Stadium is in Burswood, close to the city. You can walk to the arena from East Perth via the Matagarup Pedestrian Bridge.

Rocco was an excellent tour guide. Unfailing sense of humour, excellent managing a potentially challenging group, just the right amount of space, speed time, information. Great tour, very interesting and informative. Worth doing again when the sport season changes from footy to cricket! And lunch in the cafe was very enjoyable and good value.

This was a fantastic tour of Optus stadium with our knowledgeable and passionate tour guide Rocco.
Our tour was the day before an AFL game at the stadium so we were lucky enough to see some of the team players doing some training, but it also meant a couple of the area were off limits for our tour, but on the whole this didnt detract from the tour.
We were able to see one of the locker rooms, the media room, the corporate boxes and the membership prestige areas, as well as learn lots of stats about the stadium.
If you are in the area and have some free time, I would definitely recommend doing this tour; it was well priced and suitable for ages!

The Stadium tour shows you all the ins and outs of Optus Stadium. And what a magnificent stadium it is.
Bob was our very passionate guide giving us all the details down to the nuts and bolts used to build it. He was extremely informative answering any questions the group had.
I would highly recommend anyone even slightly interested in sport do this tour.

What a great tour! I would recommend it to anyone that has ever been to Optus Stadium. To go to places one would never have access to as an attendee was both interesting and fascinating. Seeing the stadium from various vantage points was also quite amazing. Seeing the Dockers and Eagles change rooms and facilities was also an eye opener, now I can visualize where the players have come from as they run onto the turf.
Also, a shout out to our guide, Keith. He was a wealth of information about the stadium, patient, friendly and inviting questions, with titbits of insider information which just made the whole tour so much more worthwhile.

Did a tour of the Stadium, Lindsey was a great guide. The fire alarm went off not long into the tour, but she still managed to show us pretty much everything and nothing was any trouble. She was friendly, knowledgeable and it was an enjoyable tour that I would any sports fan should do.

We had a great tour through the Stadium. Our guide, Bruce, was very knowledgeable on the layout and knew all the statistics for the building and the local AFL teams & players. It was great to see all the levels of corporate suites and the facilities in the dressing rooms. Glad we did this tour.
