- Passenger517748019120 contributionsBrilliant tour14/10!!!!!! Brilliant trip lead by Jackson our amazing tour guide, he was a wealth of knowledge wherever we stopped and the food was always amazing and made each day better!!Written 19 February 2024
- Carolina M0 contributionsPerth -Adelaide a wonderfull Journey!!I joined this 10 day tour from Perth to Adelaide and It was the most beautiful experience . In addition to meeting new people, with whom I had a wonderful relationship and we had a lot of fun, I had the chance to get to know Australian Aboriginal culture and its beautiful nature in depth. Thanks to our wonderful guide Jackson, who accompanied us throughout this wonderful experience, showing us what it means to live in the Australian desert. Without him, the trip would not have been as wonderful.Written 5 February 2024
- SteveZog0 contributionsIf you wish to experience the true beauty & ruggedness of South -Western Australia, this is THE trip to take! This was everything I was expecting and a whole lot more! Starting with our excellent guide, Carlos and ending with sights and experiences, I’ll probably never experience again. A GREAT trip!Written 27 January 2024
- Sightsee493066408750 contributionsA week to rememberThe tour to Esperance was amazing. Every day was a highlight. Sean is THE BEST tour guide, chef, driver, singer and his jokes and games on the bus were hilarious. I was lucky to have an awesome group of people. The beaches and hikes were amazing and we saw so much wildlife (kangaroos!!) and marine life. Definitely recommend to go on this tour!Written 25 January 2024
- anthonyvJ4056MX0 contributionsAwesome experienceI had an amazing trip with Jackson and the group. Lots of fun adventures camping in swags, swimming, sandboard, seeing the wildlife and stopping at the best spots. Many things happened out of anyone's control throughout the trip that was all part of the experience. There was a tyre change on the side of the road at 40 degree temperature, some wet weather at Lucky Bay and the air conditioning on the bus was broken for the majority of the trip including crossing the Nullabor. Many thanks to Jackson for making everyone feel at ease with the hot bus and for being flexible with the itinerary during the wet weather.Written 18 January 2024
- E4861LRjimb0 contributionsSomething completely different!Lots of sites and activities to see and do. The long drives across the Nullabore were a constant reminder of how beautiful outback Australia is. The food supplied was a real bonus and the guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. The real highlight is the serenity of sleeping under the stars, just fantastic.Written 26 November 2023
- gerritk3260 contributionsPerth - Adelaide grouptour Brendan/EmilyGreat tour, very good group experience. Brendan and Emily are great group leaders, uncredibly chill and have good feel/sence of the group. Tour it self had a great mixture of travel and lots of activities, in nature as in sightseeing. Unbelievable nice places and spots they had picked out, remote but therefore so special. Had a great experience, thanks guys!Written 3 November 2023
- S8654PWchristinap0 contributions8day Adelaide to UluruHad an amazing 8 days traveling from Adelaide to Uluru. Alex our guide was super lovely, informative, cooked the best camp meals and really went out of her way to plan our days so our group had the best experience. My highlights were exploring the flinders ranges by foot and driving, the walk of kings canyon at sunrise and sleeping in swags in some beautiful campsites.Written 9 June 2023
- 395tinal0 contributions8 day Adelaide to Uluru.Had a great time with my fellow travellers and a special Thank you to Alex our tour guide and driver. Nothing was too much trouble and the iteneary was intresting and informative. wonderful walks were factored in along with some down time, great meals. Loved sleeping in swags, the underground bunk beds in Coober peedy were unique. All in all a great holiday seeing some of the best destinations in Australia. Love the outback.Written 8 June 2023
- joannasO2006PB0 contributionsUnsurpassed outdoor adventureIt was an awesome tour, enabling participants to experience the natural and abundant beauty of Western Australia - Perth to Esperance - thanks to countless hike, walk, swim and stargazing opportunities. Alex, our tour guide, was an amazing and passionate driver, chef, storyteller and naturalist who generously shared her knowledge of the land with us. An unforgettable adventure for outdoor lovers!Written 26 February 2023
- Lauren B0 contributionsPoorly organised tour with no itinerary and you don’t get what you pay for - would not recommendI was so excited when I booked this tour after reading amazing reviews however I was left so disappointed. The itinerary described is not the itinerary we completed we missed out on hikes, museums, sights such as surf break and pink lake. On the wine tour we were told they don’t accept buses and had to pay for bottles of wine ourself!! The tour was poorly organised. I appreciate there are long drives but due to poor planning we would always arrive in camp after dark about 8pm by the time we have unpacked, prepped, showered we would eat so late one time at 22:45 ( after eating breakfast at 06:30) No time to relax at camp and together as a group! For example at lucky bay there was supposed to be time to swim in the evening, there was not as we again arrived after dark - again something on the itinerary we did not do! The guide was poorly supported and as a result was stressed and tired all the time! He spent 4 hours food shopping one day, in a town that closed up at midday so the only thing to do was sit in a pub!! This day we did none of the activities on the itinerary for that day. The swags were not waterproof after five minutes of rain they were wet inside. We were told to sleep in the kitchen which is not the sleeping under the stars experience!! The kitchen was also used by others in the camp and so we were in the way! It also meant we could not sit there as a group of people wanted to go to bed. There was no back up options either! On a positive note the food on this tour was great and they made an big effort to cater for all requirement! This was a large expense for me and I was so excited about it as the description and itinerary sounds amazing and the reviews were great but it! The level of service and planning was completely unacceptable.Written 17 December 2022
- MichelleTraveler1110 contributionsExceeded ExpectationsI have nothing but praise towards Untamed Escapes. My 8 year old and I took the 6 day Perth to Margaret River and Esperence. Wow! The guide was amazing, the owner took the time to meet up with us during the trip. The trip was so well designed and well thought through. Just the perfect amount of driving, site seeing and hiking. It felt very tailored to our needs.Written 25 October 2022
- Sightsee5252900 contributionsThree day Oyster and Whale tripI truly enjoyed my three day tour of The Whales at the Bight and Fowlers bay with Hassie, who is a wealth of information great character made our trip fun and some what entertaining .Loved the Oysters from Smokey Bay great photos of the windmills at Penong .Overall it was a great experience spent with lovely people and a great guide who passed on to us all, his love and Knowledge of the areas which we visited on the Eyre Peninsula. We were well looked after and catered for The Whales was obviously the highlight of my trip of which we saw many Mothers with their calves including a beautiful white calf. Fowlers bay on the boat trip was the high light of my trip .Many thanks to fellow passengers and Hassie for such a wonderful experience one that I will hold close to my heart for the rest of my days.Written 6 August 2022

Thanks for taking the time to leave an excellent 5-star review and help us spread the word! It sounds you had an incredible time on our 6 Day Esperance Adventure with the fabulous Sean! You are right. The South West is one of the most spectacular parts of Australia, and so many don't head west to experience it. We have been trying hard to change that for the past 15 years!
Thank you again for jumping onboard with Nullarbor Traveller, and we wish you the best on the rest of your travels!

It was an amazing Tripp! We experienced the bushcamping, sleeping in a swag under the stars, just beautiful. We saw so many nice things thanks to our tour guide Shoan. He told us a lot of the nature and history around us, he showed us beautiful beaches and we hiked on amazing rocks. My highlight was lucky Bay but also the tree top walk. I can recommend this trip to everyone who is ready for an adventure.

We had the best time with our tour guide Alex! Alex was organised, knowledgeable and fun and led us through an amazing itinerary with just the right amount of time at each location. Great value trip, beautiful camp sites to sleep under the stars and awesome food. We could not have put this trip together ourselves.

I joined the 6-Day Esperance & Margaret River Adventure Tour in November 2023 with guide Carlos. I enjoyed the tour a lot! Everything was very smoothly organised, the places we visited were stunning. The activities were well balanced (there is some time spend driving but it is well balanced with walks, swims & other activities such as a walking tour with an indigenous lady, visit to a local chocolate factory etc.) As it was rainy and not very warm for most of the tour, tents were offered for sleeping in addition to the swags. The campgrounds were all very good (clean, well equiped facilities, nice locations) and never too crowded. The food was absolutely delicious and more than enough. The meals were adapted to the likings of the group. As we were only 7 travellers on this tour, there was plenty of room on the bus. We were also offered to choose between different activities or options of hikes for example, which added a very nice touch to the tour. All in all, I would highly recommend this tour and Untamed Escapes. Based on my experience, Untamed tours are among the very best you can find in Australia.

It's difficult to describe this amazing experience in a few words. I loved so many things about this trip. Sean our guide was the best guide ever. He truly loves what he is doing. He gave us so much information, was always calm and friendly and assured at all times everyone was ok (we always had enough drinking water on the bus, he even passed sunscreen). The food was delicious and we had really nice campgrounds. You sleep surprisingly well in the swag. I was also so lucky with the group (mixed all ages), they were lovely people! And of course the tour itself with all these amazing stops, the nature, animals. Everyday we saw something breathtaking and I just felt blessed and thankful! This is a 100% recommendation.

The trip was amazing!
Beautiful places, a great experience to sleep in a swag that I'm glad I enjoyed it a lot. A lovely group of people from all over the world.
It could have been perfect if the following three things had gone differently.
1. We drove to the place where we were supposed to climb the highest tree and when we got there after an hour and a half drive - it was closed. One phone call to check if it was open could have saved us time and we would have gotten to see other wonderful places instead.
2. The tour guide. He was impatient from the first moment, did not explain enough about the places we were in and above all he yelled twice at the group, used very, very bad words, for no good reason. It ruined the atmosphere, people around us looked and also asked if he always yells at us...
People from the group asked less questions because they were afraid of receiving an unpleasant response.
3. The food. Didn't feel there was enough food for a group of 19 people. We had to think about every extra slice of cheese we wanted to put in the bread. Another suggestion - more vegetables in dinners.

Thanks for travelling with Untamed Escapes on our 6-Day Esperance & Margaret River Adventure from Perth. It sounds like there were some fantastic highlights from the tour, and we agree the South West is a stunning part of the world. We aim to provide exceptional experiences and are disappointed to hear not everything was as perfect as it could have been. I’d like to address those points and thank you for providing feedback on these things, as this is how we can ensure we are constantly improving.
Unfortunately, the tree that we usually visit and climb was closed that day by National Parks. We have been going here for years and never had a problem, so it was unfortunate there was an issue this day, and for that, we apologise. The Guide will check for updates moving forward, and we have also found a backup location nearby with a similar experience if it is closed.
In regards to your comments on the guide, I have spoken to him, and he is deeply apologetic as he did confirm there was a moment of frustration that he did not handle professionally or appropriately with the group, which was unacceptable and has obviously had an impact on your overall experience. We were shocked to read this comment as he is an experienced guide that has worked all over Australia and for us for six months with great reviews and comments until now. There are no circumstances in which this behaviour is OK, and for that, I can only apologise. We have been assured it will not happen again, which we believe as it was totally out of character.
On the food, we have investigated further, and most of the feedback was that there was enough food for the group but not enough dietary options. We have taken the feedback onboard about having more vegetables on the dinners, and thank you for your suggestion.
As the business owner, I apologise that you did not see this as a 5-star experience because that is what we aim for on each and every tour. I hope you will consider jumping back onboard another Untamed Escapes tour one day so we can give you the perfect experience.
Until then, travel safely,
Hassie

Our guide had a massive knowledgment about flora&fauna, animals, how nature works. I enjoyed to learn new things. WA is stunning. I felt save to travel in the group and did things, i'd never would have experienced, travelling alone as female.
I love the countryside. Totally worth it!
2 things i would've done diffrent:
- stay 1 night in margret river. I would've loved to visit restaurants/bars at this place.
- spend more time in the forrest with those huge trees. Rather climbing up to one of them. It was so impressive to see all of it.

Thank you for travelling with Untamed Escapes and sharing your experience with other travellers. We’re so happy you had a great time unearthing the South West Edge in WA. As you said, from the beaches to the forests it truly is a magical place.
Thank you for your feedback about the itinerary. We'd love to be able to include an extra night in Margaret River and more time in other amazing places too but then we'd be selling a longer, more expensive tour. While the 6-Day Margaret River & Esperance Adventure focuses more on immersing people in nature and adventure, one of our Gourmet Getaways or Wellness Retreats would include focus more on other experiences such as foodie workshops and a bit more time in the township. We’d love to have you join us again on one of our retreats one day.
Best wishes,
Hassie

An absolutely magical part of Australia! Our guide showed us more than we could have imagined and his enthusiasm and excitement for the places we visited was infectious. A great mixture of local history, significant landmarks, learning about indigenous culture and ways of living, and purely amazing scenery. Our guide prepared a great variety of meals and we never went hungry.

This trip was incredible and we got to experience so much during the 6 days without it being too busy! We got to see amazing beaches with the clearest water and the whitest sand. Saw so many different animals over the week, I got to tick so much off my bucket list! A big shoutout to our driver Sean so was so helpful and so accommodating over the week and kept us entertained with his guitar!! Honestly made friends for life on this trip and I’d definitely recommend to anyone who wants to see South West Australia!
