What a fabulous day we had with Garry on a full-day wine and food tasting tour. He personalised the day especially for us, adapted venues and timing to ensure a most pleasant visit to each place so we could make the most of each experience. His knowledge of the local area and small businesses was unsurpassed and we relaxed and just followed his lead, which was awesome. He went out of his way, especially with his introductions and his time to share the beauty of Perth, Fremantle and the surrounding area with us. I highly recommend this small-group tour to anyone who wants to enjoy the expertise of Garry as the owner and tour guide to enjoy the highlights of Perth and Swan Valley. Thanks Garry for such a great day!

Taste buds has been taken over by new owner Gary. Gary managed to fit us in on a Wednesday after all other tours were booked out. It basically ended up being our own private tour!

We did a whole tour travelling to Providore wines, Margaret river chocolate, Lavender bistro, Windara honey, Aboriginal art centre, Moorish Nuts, Olive Farm wines and Whistlers chocolates. It was the perfect mix of food and wine. We particularly enjoyed the Windara honey tour as they went through their production of honey and even had a glass hive on the wall where you could watch the bees. At most of the places we got a little tasting platter included. The complimentary shopping bags were a nice touch for all of our purchases. The Kia Carnaval was very comfortable to travel in, with wet wipes, tissues and water.

Gary’s car broke down unfortunately so we left an hour late. But Gary got another car and kept us updated. However the tour did move at a nice pace until it was rushed at the end after having arrived an hour late.

Having only just bought the company they are still working it all out with timings. Gary as a curtesy for the car breakdown dropped us home to our door in Fremantle instead of Perth CBD. Would still highly recommended!

We had an absolutely amazing day with Gary. He was on time, flexible with our work schedules, informative and welcoming. It was great value for money and perfect for foodies and wine lovers alike. The booking process was easy and he checked in on a regular basis. The stops were well organised and we couldnt eat another bite by the end!

Loris was a wonderful guide with lots of knowledge and stories to tell about the region. There were plenty of stops along the way including honey, ice cream, bush tucker, cider, nougat, nuts and wine. Fab day.

Did this tour with a bunch of friends and we had a fabulous day. The service was professional and we didn't feel hurried, trying lots of yummy food and wine tasters. Have been to the Swan Valley many times but this tour opened my eyes to a load of new places that I will be taking friends to in the future!

This tour certainly rocked. And tickled our taste buds. The different range of food was good and the quality was exceptional- all good local home made etc. recommended.
P.s. I did the tour as a single female and it worked really well for me.

Went with group of people on a Sunday afternoon tour. Tour was a present. The tour was labelled as Food, wine beer, but the highlight was the Twin Hill winery, where we had true wine, cheese and olive tasting. The first 2 stops were coffee orientated, and was not that impressed. The chocolate factory was good, but didn't get to the chocolate liquors. We visited the lavender tea house, and afternoon tea was served. Then on to a local gallery for a brownie. The tour finished with a single ~60ml "tasting" of beer / cider with any additional to be purchased. No food was included here - you had to purchase what you wanted.
If you want to have some coffee, tea, and a scone with jam, and a bit of a tour of the swan valley, this is for you (I personally don't drink much coffee in the afternoon, nor do any "high teas"). If you want to sample wines and beers, seek another tour. The price was high for what you received. The winery, as mentioned was the highlight, and if you want to concentrate on the purported best wineries in the state - again, seek another tour. Read and ask first.

Thanks for taking the time to review your Speed Grazing experience with Taste Bud Tours. I'm pleased you enjoyed the wine, cheese and olive sampling at Twin Hill Wines. As the purpose of Speed Grazing is to highlight the "delicious diversity" of the Swan Valley quite often the tasting experience at some of the venues, like Yahava Koffee Works, does not appeal to all guests. The aim is also to avoid duplication of experiences similar to a wine tour which focusses primarily on wine. With a label Good Food, Wine & Beer the tour attempts to introduce guests to as many tasting experiences in a short period of time. I do acknowledge the organic chocolate slice was presented as a replacement for the "humane" sample of 'paddock to plate' frittata which was accidentally dropped and not served. The Swan Valley is an amazing location for diverse tasting experiences and I hope you will continue to visit the region and explore more of the wonderful foods and beverages on offer. Cheers Loris

Speed Grazing is an excellent way to get a sample of what the beautiful Swan Valley has to offer. Our owner/operator/bus driver Loris has obviously put in the hard yards to make this tour what it is. The detail she has incorporated into the tour makes it a must do for visitors to Perth.
There are two options, the morning tour or the afternoon tour, both include plenty of samples, generous discounts and a discount card for return visits.
We went on the morning tour and were treated to an amazing array of food and beverage samples. Yahava Koffeeworks were a great start to the morning, these people are passionate about their coffee and it shows in the quality coffee they produce. We also bought some of their tea blends-excellent. Next -Cape Lavender for tasty scones, jams, lavender tea and then Mago Coffee for an amazing variety of flavoured coffees, beautiful hot chocolate and tasty dukkah. On to Oggies Ice Creamery where we were encouraged to try all the different flavours, (mmmm apple pie ice cream). Next Maggies Place where we were treated to a demo and tasting combining fresh produce with locally made sauces and dressings. Somewhere in there we also stopped at Windarra Honey for the best honey I have ever tasted (Jarrah), a great demo and plenty of honey varieties and drinks to try.On to Windy Creek Estate where we were treated to at least 13 different wines, going through the range of whites, reds and fortifieds with cheeses and chutneys (tip-buy a bottle of Ximenz, you won't regret it) plus the stories behind the wines by the lovely and patient staff. Feeling pretty full, we rolled into Mondo Nougat for a sample, then Morish nuts for some amazing flavoured nuts and finished off at Whistler's Chocolate to sample several of their tasty treats (try the chocolate pretzels, surprisingly good)
Loris provided commentary throughout the trip and shared her great knowledge of the area, whilst keeping us (somehow) on schedule for each of the visits. The trips are only half day, so you can easily fit it into your schedule and still spend half the day exploring Perth.

We've been on many tours and nothing can compete to taste bud tours. Exceptional service from a truly dedicated guide with outstanding informative knowledge from start to finish. Loris really is the perfect guide and the places you visit are so different from the next. We loved everyone and the discount card for purchasing certainly ensured we left with our own taste of the swan valley. Unbelievable value for money and a special thank you to yahava coffee for allowing us to taste their grand cru from Colombia. Our diets were destroyed by the white chocolate from whistlers and the kiwi cider from funk was the winner. Steve's apple pie ice cream is a must and the indigenous gallery with the most sensational relishes and oils and the chocolate spread OMG! Miss this tour and you will seriously regret it.
