- 1This great value for money Broome tour takes you on a 4.5 hr sunset cruise aboard our beautifully appointed sailing catamaran, Ballena. Spanish for whale, ‘Ballena’ is a fantastic stable platform to get up close and personal with the world’s largest population of humpback whales. Uninterrupted views and an onboard hydrophone enable you to take in the magical sights and sounds of these amazing mammals. As we return home a beautiful Broome sunset ends your perfect day.

- SteveS3420 contributionsBrilliant Dolphin viewing sunset tourThis was an absolutely fabulous tour. We saw loads of dolphins. Great crew and boat. The snacks were really excellent, and the drag net was fun for all. Would thoroughly recommend this tour to everyone.Written 29 November 2024
- L672CSjohnw0 contributionsWonderful start to the dayOne of the most enjoyable holiday activites we have done. Everything worked just as it should. Skipper Cam was obviously highly adept at managing his craft and very knowledgeable as to the animals in Roebuck Bay and the Bay itself. Mac was super efficient, gracious and smiling in her work. The dolphins, birds, sharks, sea snake and occasional turtle all put on a show. Thank you for the experience.Written 25 November 2024
- sheilanag0 contributionsPerfect tour for wildlife spottingWe came off season and the tour was only happening once a week. But that was perfect, Georgia and Cameron were such lovely tour guides and had a wide knowledge about the marine life (including spotting them). We were super lucky to see two diff. types of dolphins, green turtles and loggerheads, a ray, a sea cow with her baby and lots of birds. Even wild life spotting is not guaranteed, I highly recommend this tour!Written 21 November 2024
- Beachwatcher140 contributionsA Must-Do when in BroomeI can't say enough good things about this company and the tour. They go out of their way to be accommodating and make sure you have the best experience possible, all the way from picking you up, the tour itself, and taking you back to your accommodation. We were visiting Broome as a cruise port stop on a Sunday. They normally don't offer tours on Sundays, and I asked if it was possible for them to add a tour. The willingly obliged by adding a tour stating if they got at least the minimum needed for a tour, that they'd do it...and they did! Our cruise stop required a local shuttle into town--there were no other options to get off the ship/pier, and the company drove out of their way to go pick us up, even though our ship was literally a couple hundred yards from the beach from which they take off on the tour. The captain did a great job of finding the snubfin dolphins, a shark, a dugong, and other sea life. They served great snacks and beverages. The crew were very attentive and knowledgeable, and were happy to answer questions. We appreciated that there was plenty of covered area in which to sit or stand since it was very hot and humid. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. My husband and I are extremely grateful for everything.Written 10 November 2024
- tlangron0 contributionsFun afternoonThe staff were lovely, informed and helpful. We had a nice afternoon, had a sit on the net behind the boat. We saw the snub-nosed dolphins and heard a bit about them. After that we returned to the dock watching the sun going down. Drinks were available for purchase and nibbles were provided.Written 9 November 2024
- PurpleLady610 contributionsWonderful experienceWe had a wonderful day! The staff were amazing, friendly and informative. The boat was clean and well-maintained. Our captain was Cameron who took us to where we were most likely to see sea life. We saw snubfin dolphins, turtles and sea snakes. There were plenty of snacks and drinks available, even homemade scones. Our crew of Mackenzie, Georgia and Romy made sure that everyone saw the sea life and was well fed. A great day out.Written 2 November 2024

Worth it as we managed to see not only some snub fin dolphins but also a cheeky bottle nose, a couple of Dugongs and heaps of Sea Turtles. The morning tea was great, the girls did a terrific job.Written 27 October 2024

Viewing results are of course a roll of the dice, mine were great. Many thanks to the crew onboard for a wonderful cruise and a special Thank You to the young lady who, on a Sunday, checked the office to see if the hat I had forgotten on the bus had been found and subsequently dropped it off at the reception of my hotel.Written 30 September 2024

Great fun. And the whales - a mother and last year’s calf- humoured us by slapping their fins, breaching, diving and giving a school of fish a fright. Such magnificent animals. The only challenge was trying not to spill my champagne while trying to record their antics. The crew were great - friendly and fun. Delicious nibbles and plenty for everyone. The sunset was lovely and it’s great to view all the people and cars on the beach also enjoying the sunset. Yet another tour I would highly recommend when in Broome. A relaxing way to whale (poor pun I know) away the time.

Great trip from start to finish. Booking easy and communication from them was great, confirming the trip a few days prior and also the pickup from the hotel on the morning of the tour. The transfer to the catamaran via tender is quick and efficient. The boat is modern and comfortable and affords great views. We were lucky enough to have a fantastic whale show on our day out. Wasn't sure what to expect re food as all we were really told was to make sure we had lunch prior to boarding, however the finger food that was served during the trip was spectacular - all home made thanks to Cam's wife. You can take your own drinks which they will keep cool for you or you can purchase drinks at a reasonable cost. Thanks to the crew - Cam, Anna and Courtney for a great day and to Cam's wife for the great food. We would definitely do this trip again as no two outings are the same.

Awesome experience, with an all female crew on this particular day. The whole afternoon was exceptional from start to finish. There was a bit of a swell at the start to our cruise but Jess our captain assured us it wouldn't be long before it would improve and it did. We got to observe a mother Humpback whale & approx 3 week old calf while they rolled around unperturbed by our presence, with the calf practicing various tail manoeuvres under its mothers watch. We also saw sea snakes, turtles, a Spinner shark, birds, more whales and an amazing sunset. The food served by Anne and Molly, the pleasant and informative staff, was tasty & fresh. What a great afternoon in Broome.

This was an excellent experience. The crew were all knowledgable and friendly, providing great guidance and service.
The boat was comfortable and spacious, not feeling crowded at all. They allow you to bring your own drinks which I would recommend - it’s a long afternoon and the snacks provided are nice, but nothing washes them down better at sunset than a nice beer or bubbles. They do sell drinks on the boat, but be a little prepared and save yourself the money.
We found a pod of 3 juvenile humpback whales and got to watch them for about 45minutes playing around us. According to our captain, they only fail to find whales about 3 times all of last season (90+ trips)
The sunset on the way back was superb.
As it’s a boat, it was fine with teenagers, but young kids will need careful watching.

The very professional crew, not even getting our feet wet, the comfort of a great vessel, absolutely stunning weather and conditions all led to a very successful period of at least an hour alongside a whale fin slapping, snorting, tail waving and breaching right up out of the water. The breathtaking sunset on the way home capped off one of our family's greatest experiences ever. Thank you team

A magical trip from start to finish. All eyes were on the horizon to spot for whales for the first half hour, then shortly after we spotted our first one, not far away. The skipper John then spotted two together, 10 mins later. We followed them, completely in awe of these mighty creatures, just diving and playing in the water, having fun. Shortly after, we saw another 3, but then we “hit the jackpot” and found a mother and baby together. What a beautiful sight. John told us the mum was trying to teach her baby to use its pectoral fin, however he was splashing his tail instead and everyone was laughing saying baby whales are like children, testing the boundaries and being silly. As mum & bub played and frolicked, we moved quietly alongside them for over half and hour. We watched them slap their fins, glide gently in amongst the waves, slap their tails and roll over numerous times. What a privilege it was for all on board to spend so much time with these beautiful, gentle giants. All the crew were friendly and helpful, offering us food & drinks throughout our trip and Johns knowledge of whales was fantastic. We can highly recommend this tour.

We were collected from our hotel at the prescribed time by one of the really friendly staff come crew. Arrived at the South end of Cable beach with the bus and just drove onto the sand? Yes it was all good, no pushing! We sere picked up by the tender that has deployable wheels that drives out of the water onto the sand, picked us up on dry land and then drove back out to the Ballena, a catamaran yacht moored offshore.
You always wonder if you are actually going to see whales as they are wild animals and do as they please. Well we did see some, first at a distance then the crew managed to get quite close, close enough to get good phone camera pictures, we had one whale that was breaching (jumping) out of the water, slapping its fins and all that you could want to see, then promptly had a nap!
The crew were fantastic, they are well informed and explained all the info re the whales, they were friendly and helpful as well.
For those that are a bit worried about going on the water, there is no need. It is a very stable yacht, you hardly know you are on open water, other than what you see, very much doubt you can get seasick.
What to take? Thongs are the go, you have to take them off when you get on the yacht as you do on most yachts and you have to walk on damp sand when getting on and off the tender and a jumper as it can get chilly in the evening.
All in all a fantastic outing and will do again when in town.

I’m a local and been out on friends boats a lot. But this tour we did with some visiting family for a special occasion, and I was really blown away.
The bus picked us up from our house complimentary and we were greeted with friendly a smile from Courtney and quick trip to the beach to get on the awesome fun transfer boat. Super easy for our older family members to get across to the waiting beautiful catamaran “Ballena”.
It was spotless and we felt like we were in the Greek Isles!
We could BYO and the staff couldn’t do more for us to make sure our drinks were topped up and we were comfortable and happy. Jess the Skipper was great with info all the way about the whales we saw and showing real respect and passion for these awesome creatures of the deep.
And the food coming around all afternoon was just to die for. Compliments to Val the chef. I want to go back again tomorrow!!
Thanks to the all girl team Kiara, Jess and Courtney. Today was so good I had to get straight on here and give you girls 5 stars.
100% recommend this tour.

We weren’t able to go on the morning trip due to weather, but we’re able to be switched to the sunset cruise. We were really well looked after and enjoyed a very relaxed afternoon. We’d definitely recommend this trip.

Working with weather and tides can at times be a little challenging in Broome. We were so pleased you were able to reschedule to a better time in the day for cruising Alan S. Although wildlife spotting is usually best in the mornings, with optimal lighting conditions, when the water is choppy and weather unsuitable, encountering animals can be difficult.
Beautiful, relaxing, and well looked after are the words we hope to hear back from our guests. Thank you so much Alan S for taking time in your travels to meet our crew and explore Roebuck Bay.
We are so thrilled to know you will recommend us to others and look forward to meeting your friends on board.
Happy travels, Valerie

I had the best experience with my friends and family (a group of 14) for my recent special birthday with Broome Whale watching. Val, Cam and the fantastic crew made the day so special. Every attention to detail was taken care of - from the booking experience, different pick up and drop off locations and different dietary requirements. We were very well looked after on the boat by the friendly crew and we were lucky enough to see some whales which was the highlight of the day. Cam skippered the boat whilst giving informative commentary about the whales once we were out at sea. We had time for some fun in the nets on the way home. I highly recommend this wonderful group for a special Broome experience.
