About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- christopherbN8522WI0 contributionsGreat tripWe had an amazing sightseeing tour of the Blue Mountains! The scenery was breathtaking, but it was our driver Irene who made the experience truly unforgettable. She was funny, helpful, down-to-earth, and incredibly informative, sharing fascinating stories and making sure everyone felt included. Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the Blue Mountains!Written 15 January 2025
- I5599HLninam0 contributionsFabulous day out. Thanks BartFantastic day out so fun. Bart the driver guide was fabulous so organised and informative. Absolutely 💯 definitely recommended.Written 13 January 2025
- Mohammed K0 contributionsPenguin Parade and Moonlight SanctuaryIt was a pleasant experience. We ha da lot of fun seeing a bunch of animals and the star of the night was the penguin of courseWritten 12 January 2025
- jocelyncO3238OU0 contributionsA total waste of money and far better options available to view the penguins and Phillip Island. The whole day was disappointing. The driver/guide was the dullest man I have ever come across, I think he was called Craig. The trip got off to a bad start as we were stuck in traffic for over an hour because of an accident on the motorway but our driver did not communicate anything about how this would impact our day. I was sitting near the front so was able to see his driving and he made no attempt to try and move into a lane that was moving more freely than the first lane which we were in, and he also let in half of Melbourne who were joining our lane from a slip road! It really was the most frustrating experience. I know that accidents happen and delays are an obvious result of this but our driver made no attempt to progress at all. He left a gap of at least 50 metres ahead of us that allowed every single car to join the motorway from the slip road whilst we were queuing in the traffic. His driving wasted so much of our day. I have no idea of why he drove like this, it was incomprehensible. He then proceeded to waste further time in our day. Every time we turned up to something, he would pull up before going in and proceed to drone on for at least 10 minutes, completely useless information that was obvious to everyone. He also repeated himself A LOT, and then he said exactly the same thing again when we actually got to the place rather than let us get off the bus and go and see what we were booked to see. Our first stop, at the wildlife sanctuary lasted about 30 minutes before the place closed for the day, the same happened at the town. We had time for a really quick coffee in the town, the first of the entire day and that was it. There was no time to do anything, anywhere. We were obviously impacted by the accident and the delay in our journey but it really was not helped by his odious driving and talking. Do yourselves a favour a hire a car and do it yourself. The sanctuary was not worth our time, the town would have warranted an hour's wander and had some pretty settings and wrap up warm for the penguins, no matter the time of year. We were freezing cold - again something the tour operator should have warned us about. After the event, so many people told me that it is always really cold there!Written 12 January 2025
- Abbi w0 contributionsPhilip island, penguin parade and wildlife SanctuaryThis was a great trip, we got to stop at a wildlife sanctuary and feed kangaroos and see koalas close up. Then onto Cowes for a look round which is a very pretty seaside town, before heading to the penguin parade. Some people on our tour were disappointed with the number of penguins we saw this particular evening but you have to remember this is wildlife so can be a bit unpredictable. Our guide, Scott was very informative and fun I can also recommend the flake (gummy shark) and chips from Nats fish and chips shop in Cowes for teaWritten 11 January 2025
- sarinar20250 contributionsAmazing TripThe scenery was amazing. The tour guide ‘guy’ was very informative and super chill. He knew amazing spots, very little crowd, we had the beautiful views all to ourselves. Everything was just as it was described in the website. Would definitely recommend the trip to a friend.Written 11 January 2025

- Amy D0 contributionsCool animal and great beach views!Great tour! Everything went smoothly and was well worth the money! We got to see lots of animals and the tour guide took us to good look out spots. I would recommend bringing a jacket as it does get chilly on the beach.Written 10 January 2025
- 108ishak0 contributionsHighly recommend!Loved this tour! Our tour guide Julia was so nice and kind. A totally wholesome day ending with cute baby penguins! They show you 4 stops in total and also wait for lunch in a cute town. We had a lovely day!Written 10 January 2025
- 730karino0 contributionsGreat trip and guideAmazing trip. Very well organized. Our guide /driver Luke was fantastic. He was an entertainer and gave so much fun and also a lot of interesting facts about the places. It was magic to see the penguins come out of the sea.Written 9 January 2025

- Colin T0 contributionsDon't go if it's cloudy. It was a good day but the weather was not good and we couldn't see the views because of the low clouds. We had 2 hours there and spent most of the time queuing for the cable cars and the train, it's far too commercialized now. The tour guide was excellent and made the most of the weather. Do not go if it's cloudy.Written 9 January 2025
- David B0 contributionsGreat tour team highly recommend themThe tour was fantastic the driver John was wonderful he was funny and very informative We got to all our destinations in time for the tour it did not feel like we were being rushedWritten 9 January 2025
- Regan B0 contributionsGood value and well organized. We very rarely do tours but we wanted to see the Blue mountains and we were short of time, so didn’t fancy hiring a car. The tour was great. Timely pick up from hotel, great guide with a good sense of humor (a South African lady who has lived in Australia a long time). Well organized and informative. Good value for money.Written 8 January 2025
- Mrunalshinde0 contributionsPerfect for your first time in Sydney !We had a lovely trip – everything was well-organized, comfortable, and incredibly informative. The highlight of our day was undoubtedly our tour guide, Irene! She was hilarious, shared fantastic tips, and provided us with so much insight into the local history. Her energy and enthusiasm truly made the experience unforgettable. Would recommend this tour 100%!Written 5 January 2025

Trip was amazing!! Weather today was beautiful which has made the 12 Apostles view truly spectacular ! However, sitting on a tiny bus with very narrow seats with no leg room for 13 hours is a torture. Roads are bumpy, with a poor car suspension made the experience very uncomfortable and I was very dizzy. I would highly recommend using a more comfortable vehicle for

Amazing trip! The day was well-organized from start-to-finish, and the itinerary allowed for good time in coastal towns, walking the rain forest, and taking in incredible views at the 12 Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge. Our tour guide, Paddy, was excellent, keeping us on time and providing interesting commentary along the way. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to take a day trip from Melbourne and see some of the incredible sites along the Great Ocean Road!

We were planning to drive the Great Ocean Road and I'm so glad we changed our minds and went on the tour bus instead. Our driver, Luke played the role of tour guide, entertainer, driver and cameraman! He was enthusiastic, professional and really knowledgeable on a wide range of subjects. He made everyone feel welcome and included and even tried to say a few words in each passenger's native language! He gave us a fantastic insight, not just into the direct area we were visiting but some history of Melbourne and Victoria in general, information on local customs, sporting events, wildlife, as well as Australia's place in the world both politically and geographically plus so much more. It's a long day (collected at 7am and dropped off at 8pm) but we managed to fit in everything we wanted to see and Luke tried to give us as much time as he could at each stop so everyone got a chance for photos, toilet breaks etc whilst still getting us round all the highlights of the area. We were able to spot koalas, parrots, dolphins and kangaroos in the wild during the trip and the landscape and views were incredible. All in all a fantastic day and great value for money. Thanks Luke and sightseeing tours Australia. You were excellent 👍🏻

As first time visitors to Victoria and Australia it's probably worth putting this review in the context of relative scale. Australia is huge!
So even a relatively short day trip from Melbourne like this one involves a lot of driving. A LOT of driving.
The company are open and transparent about this from the outset.
This being said , sight seeing Australia provide a comfortable air conditioned coach and excellent driver / guide in Josh who went out of his way to make this a very enjoyable experience.
The surg and shipwreck coasts are beautiful.
To fit everything in the stops can seem almost rushed even on a 12 hour round trip. There's no getting round it.
At Apollo bay if anyone is vegan we'd recommend the friendly and delicious" The Bakery" despite its signature scallop pie! Lots of vegan choice.
Swerve George's, little vegan choice and frankly rude staff which is very unusual in Australia where service is generally very friendly and efficient.
Thank you ssat, very good value for money , punctual and a really great guide. Lovely day.

The whole tour was a smooth and comfortable journey, started early at 7.10am at our pick up point and ending roughly around 8.30pm when we were dropped off. Our driver/tour guide Cameron was very informative throughout the journey, as he explained the history of locations that was easy to grasp and understand. Kudos to his driving skills too, navigating through the twisty bends with relative ease and at quick yet reasonable speeds whilst keeping passengers safe.
A few stops were made before reaching our ultimate goal, such as the Koala bear viewing, some stops for picture taking, lunch at Appollo Bay town and a quick tour at a National Park. The highlight of the day, The 12 Apostles, was breathtaking. We were given 45 minutes here and another 50 minutes at the Loch Ard Gorge. Do note, wind was very strong here. Pls bring your windbreakers/thick jackets.
All in all, a highly recommended tour no thx to the professionalism of our driver and tour guide Cameron!

Great one day tour from this company. Very much on time through the day. Our driver cum guide Luke was one of the primary reasons we really enjoyed the tour. He is full of energy, keep everyone engaged, gives lot of relevant information and was full of humour. He also ensured that everyone was on board and personally counted before heading to the next stops which is a nice and assuring gesture from him. Luke also handled a peculiar case well where a couple brought in a baby (less than 3 years) and Luke managed the situation very well without making the couple feel bad. Overall, highly recommend the tour if you want a budget friendly and informative tour.

The whole day was very busy, certainly a lot of driving, but the sceneries were truly breath-taking and well worth the effort. On a large bus with over 30 guests who are from many different countries, Luke made everybody feel at ease with his self-deprecating chatter about Australia, Melbourne and himself. We learned a lot about the local history and culture, especially how Melbourne was developed and how the great ocean road was built. We took the helicopter ride at the 12 apostles. Even in an overcast day, the ride was spectacular and looking down at the cliffs and 12 apostles from the sky was awe-inspiring.
In his friendly and funny way, Luke made sure people were punctual most of the time and everybody on the bus had a wonderful time. Luke left such an impression on my young son Terry that he's been bugging me about going back to Melbourne for our next holiday just to talk to Luke!

The weather was extremely hot on 27 Dec 2022, everyone didn't spent too much time out side at Loch Ard Gorge and the 12 Apostles. But we had a fantastic time with this day tour. The driver/tour guide was very nice and friendly. The overall experience was very good. Great value for money.

That was an absolutely amazing experience from start to end. The views, the nature, the wildlife we got to see were unbelievable and way beyond my expectations, thanks to our highly koalafied guide Todd, who went above and beyond to find us the perfect spots for photos, sceneries, and animals, and with a great sense of humour all the time.
I highly recommend Sightseeing Tours Australia if you want to go on a day trip!

The weather was not on our side and what would have been a long and dreary day of sitting in a bus except for a few short stops was given a 180degree turn by our guide and driver.
James kept us entertained all the way with his knowledge of Melbourne’s history, shared some personal stories and attempted some jokes even. But it was a tough crowd! He made the experience even more special by stopping to show us koala and kangaroos “in the wild”.
My advice to anyone planning to take this tour - Be prepared that for most part of the journey you will be sitting in the bus. It will be uncomfortable esp if the bus is full - just for a few great photo ops. So make sure you bring whatever you need to keep you entertained or distracted - just in case you are not fortunate to have James as your guide.
Overall a fantastic day.

Hiya JazzAhmad! Thank you for your great review. You're right that it is a long day on the bus - besides the incredible views, it's the tour guides' character and expert knowledge of the area that make it so memorable. You are welcome back for another Sightseeing tour anytime! 😊
