About the operator
- JUINI00Definitely a great choice and a must-go tour! It’s great that we visited the Great Ocean Road the whole way from Torquay to Warrnambool. All of the amazing landmarks along the coast, awesome beaches, stunning scenery at the lookout, and wonderful birds’ singing and enormous natural species in the rainforest have been all carved in our memory. Walter, our tour guy, did a wonderful job of leading us spying all the gorgeous views, plants and animals all the way. We even saw koalas and wallabies walking along the road. Once in a life time, you must come and experience here.
- davidsV9541ZL00Great wildlife and sceneryIt was a great trip, filled with scenery and wildlife. We were able to see wild platypuses, as well as stunning views along the coast on the Great Ocean Road. The additional side trip (extra add on) to Wildlife Wonders, at the recommendation of our guide, was well worth it and a highlight of our entire trip to Australia. We had originally signed on a group trip, but the other couple cancelled so they gave us a private trip rather than cancel us. Excellent stay in Forrest at a little country inn, very cozy little place with cockatoos in the garden.
- katelnewman00An incredible 4 day custom tour!Booked a 4-day custom tour with Around and About and couldn't recommend enough! Walter was so accommodating, fun, and a joy to be around. We had a group of wildlife photographers and Walter was never fussed when we took a bit longer at a stop or if we decided to make changes to the intended route. He was very punctual, knew a lot about the surrounding areas of Melbourne and was always happy to help. His vehicle is spacious, comfortable and always very tidy. An absolutely incredible experience - 10/10!
- wishfuldowns200Great way to see the Great Ocean RoadIt's a really good itinerary, fantastic sights, good pace, and a great variety of things to do and see. Small tour group made for easy access and help taking pictures with the two of us. YHA night accommodation in Appolo Bay was nice and comfortable. We really enjoyed this trip... so worth doing.
- YVONNE Y00Disappointing tripThe service was over rated. The around about tour to philips Island The bus was small n stuffy and very uncomfortable throughout the long journey. The driver speaking can't be clearly heard behind. The fish & chip we ate for lunch was very disappointing 😞 and very pricely rated. It is worse than singapore Fish & co. 😕 The penguin hardly be seen with paying such a price.
- Tgamb00Wonderful TourOur guide Walter was very knowledgeable and took us to some fabulous wineries! Nice small group, only 8 of us, which was very manageable.
- nicolawI8147BN00Amazingamazing trip and would recommend to anyone. Walter was amazing and knew so much about everything!! The penguins were incredible x thankyou for a once in a lifetime experience
- Bethanyrose0100Amazing road trip!We loved our trip down the Great Ocean Road! Our tour guide, Walter, was lovely and provided complimentary tea & biscuits. We stopped many times to enjoy the scenery, we were even lucky enough to see the Kangaroos. The overnight stay at Apollo Bay was amazing, it was a cosy stay. Apollo Bay is no ordinary hostel, there’s a log burner and a spacious kitchen. However, the tour could have been improved by informing us of the itinerary each morning, before we started the day. P.s. bring snacks!
- Tess N00How Great is NatureI highly recommend this 2 day tour with Walter It was indeed 'ultimate' with a great combination of stops (walks), food and companionship. It was active and leisurely at the same time. A visit to the rainforest at 0700 was like something from 'Lord of the Rings'. A 15 minute helicopter ride over the 12 apostles gave a wonderful extended view. For us the sea was calm and the ride smoothe. The beaches were rocky with strong waves pounding the beach. A very special experience.
- danielaP1451ON00Excellent tour of The Great Ocean RoadWalter is an excellent guide and I can highly recommend his two day tour of the The Great Ocean Road. I am 23 and visiting Australia on my own, and was concerned beforehand if this tour would be suitable for me, but I can confidently say that Walter’s bus and tour structure provide an excellent environment to get to know the people you’re sharing the tour with irrespective of their age or background. This was a part of the experience I thoroughly enjoyed.
- louisewR7683MX00The Best of the Great Ocean Road in 2 days! With only a week in Aus Walter’s trip was the perfect way to spend a couple of days exploring the best of the GORoad! The drive out was packed with lots of interesting and fun stops ranging from viewing world famous surf spots, swimming in waterfalls to seeing koalas in the wild and stopping for lunch in the iconic surf towns of the south coast. Our one evening on the road was spent at the YHA hostel. This hostel was spotlessly clean, had a relaxed vibe with a fully equipped kitchen and lounge where you could socialise with all. Not your standard hostel! On our second day we continued our journey along the GORoad to the 12 apostles. Leaving early meant that we had many of the iconic beaches and viewpoints to ourselves. Walter also took us to a stunning beach just ahead of the apostles where you could access the beach and really appreciate the grandeur of the coastal line and stack formations. The day just got better and better with our final swim in the gorge of the most stunning beach amongst the apostle coastline followed by an easy climb into a cave. The trip was well structured and definitely suitable to all ages given the short and accessible hikes. Make sure to eat a good breakfast and bring lots of snacks. Despite Walter providing a morning tea stop with biscuits and fresh fruit throughout the day there are some good hours between meal times. A fantastic two day trip that I’d highly recommend to anyone who wants to make the most of their time here in Aus! Thank-you Walter!
- AllyCentralCoast003day/2night customised tourThis is our 2nd tour with Walter. We did a customised 3 day/2 night tour of Phillip Island and Mornington Peninsula. Walter is a fantastic and knowledgeable tour operator. Any request we had to customise our itinerary was no trouble for Walter and he also added in a few extra sightseeing places! He has a fantastic sense of humour and we had lots of fun. He showed us many places and told us things that we would never have known about if we had been travelling ourselves in our car. I would highly recommend Walter and his many different tours.
- FidelioFlynn00Awesome tripThe tour was awesome. Our tourguide’s very funny and he is always on time. Thanks to him, we have enough time to go through all the famous spots along the Great Ocean Road. The scenery is marvelous. I really wanna go back some day.
- Mikellz00Great Ocean Road Two Days TourTook the two day amazing trip with Walter to The Great Ocean Road, where we visited many great lookouts, beaches and had the opportunity to spot some Koalas and Kangaroos as well. Overall, I was very satisfied with the service and the itinerary. Highly recommended tour if you like to take some incredible pictures while enjoying the great views this place has to offer.
- bugnotfound00Very averageWalter met our basic needs and gave some basic information about the area. He managed to time the tour nicely as there were hardly any tourists when we were at the attractions. However, the tour was a mad rush as there were too many spots to go to. We had limited time at each spot; he gave us just enough time to walk down, a 5min break/photo session then back up again. They need to curate their itinerary better. There was no personal touch either. Walter dropped us off n let us wander off on our own. He wouldn’t know our walking pace (and as such adjust to our needs), or be there to answer any questions we had atm. He came across as uninterested. If you’re looking for just a driver, then this tour is fine. Otherwise pls go elsewhere. We had so much more fun with another tour agency.

Excellent trip, enjoy the view of the countryside out of Melbourne.Lucky enough to see a Kangaroo! The visit to the beautiful Murray river on a paddle boat is lovely as is Echuca. Also the trip on a vintage tram is a treat. There is also a very interesting and informative tour of the Deborah gold mine,
All this done by a professional, friendly and informative guide. Would highly recommend, everyone so friendly, would love to come back!

Do bother booking with this company as they having staffing issues and they will just cancel your trip.
We are holidaying from Brisbane and booked for the 1.1.23 and they cancelled without explanation. I had to ring to find out their reason which was simply put ‘a staffing issue’.
Surely from June to January they could rectify their so called Staffing Issue

Thanks for taking the time to share your frustration that we cancelled your tour 5 months prior to departure.
We strive to deliver excellence service and tours throughout Victoria, however sometimes due to various circumstances we fail.
We sincerely apologise that we had to cancel your tour. We are only a small family business with a very small staff. Due to conflict with staff Roster ,we have cancelled your tour 5 months prior to departure.
Christmas day and New Year Day are normally blocked off in advance, however your booking came through before they were blocked out. We thought we could service your booking but when we became aware that we couldn't, we had to cancel it.
Once again sorry we couldn't deliver on this occasion. Hopefully you will give us another chance in the future so that you can experience our wonderful service that we normally offer.
