- sameerkS2858RX0 contributionsAmazing Road TripI had a great tour with Walter who was our driver and guide. Two days is a perfect amount of time to experience all the sights along the Great Ocean Road. Walter is knowledgeable and shared a lot of information about the spots. The itinerary was great as we were able to skip crowds and rush at most places - often the spots get crowded because of day trippers. It can get a bit tiring as the spots involve a lot of walking. The overnight stay at Apollo Bay YHA was great as well. Even as a solo traveller, I didn’t feel left out. Everyone with me was great to talk to and interact with. Overall, no complaints.Written 28 December 2024
- hechunc0 contributionsFantastic GOR tripIt was a fantastic trip. Walter was knowledgeable about the attractions and brought us morning tea and snacks. The scenery was gorgeous, a pity was it rained on the first day. Overall itinerary was well planned and packed. It was tiring but the views are worth it!Written 23 September 2024
- traveller54840 contributionsGreat 2 days experiencing the Great Ocean Road with Walter from Around and AboutWalter was our guide and he was wonderful. Picked us up and dropped us off at hotel. Quite knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating. We saw lots, experienced more, learned tons about Victoria state, and got our steps and exercise in to boot. It was a packed two days but Walter kept us on time while providing free timeWritten 12 September 2024
- Ursulaest0 contributionsFantastic tour! The tour was amazing. We were just three people, which was great. Walter was fantastic. Quite often we didn't see any other tourists, which was nice :) I would absolutely reccommend this tour!!Written 27 August 2024

- 28sandric0 contributionsMelbourne tripThere is so much to do in Melbourne CBD. The exhibition at the NGV was great. The tram takes you anywhere where you want to go. The restaurants are buzzing with people everywhere!! Great places to eat and variety cultural wise. People are friendly and Pub menus are great. Definitely will visit again.Written 29 July 2024
- avrilb1030 contributionsWonderful day with Best Friends.Wonderful Day visiting 3 diverse wineries. All tasting were informative and friendly. Lunch was delicious. Walter was a great driver and guide. Absolutely recommended.Written 22 July 2024
- Ray H0 contributionsExcellent tourWe thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The itinerary was well-planned, with several stops for walking and hiking in interesting places, toilet stops, and lunch breaks on both days. The guide was respectful, knowledgeable and experienced. Touring the Great Ocean Road in 2 days is a good way to really enjoy the beautiful scenery: it doesn't feel rushed. This is quite an active tour (lots of walking). Morning tea on both days is a light snack. It would have been helpful to know that breakfast stops are not included; you need to provide your own or ask the driver to stop somewhere so you can pick something up. The chocolaterie stop was a nice surprise with generous free chocolate samples! Our only complaint was that music not to our taste was played nonstop during the drive.Written 22 April 2024
- D2611WLjoannab0 contributionsAmazing tour!Absolutely incredible tour! Our tour guide Walter was really informative, and we did so many stops seeing all the high points of the Great Ocean Road. Would highly recommendWritten 9 April 2024
- runnawaywithme0 contributionsBad tripOur guide Walter was not friendly and his driving skills is horrible. Basically just drop you here and there with various spots like a driver, but a poor one. Would not recommend if you want to enjoy a laid-back holiday.Written 9 April 2024
- fayg9150 contributionsMagnificent tripA wonderful tour seeing many picturesque views. Views from Mt Macedon were fantastic. Picnic at Hanging Rock was simply amazing and at times felt eerie being aware of the actual filming been done there. Daylesford was lovely and lavender farm was beautiful too. Many thanks Walter for your expert knowledge and for the little extras that you did for the 4 of us on your tour.Written 17 March 2024
- 0blaked0 contributionsGo WalterWhat an amazing experience. Walter was a fantastic driver and was extremely welcoming. We had ti change our plans last minute and Walter worked hard to make this happen. Will definitely be using again.Written 11 March 2024

We were the first group to go on the three day Great Ocean road trip offered by Around and About. They also offer one and two day trips along the Great Ocean Road which are probably very good, but we felt the one that we did enabled us to see things without being rushed.
Walter, our driver and guide, was excellent. He knows the area well and was able to show us many of its secrets. Highlights were the Twelve Apostles, the Otway National Park Treetop walk, the beautiful beaches and a visit to a chocolaterie and a lighthouse .
The accommodation was simple but comfortable and at the second night hostel there were very good value pizzas available if you didn’t fancy going out to eat.
Walter’s timing was spot-on (an early start every morning meant we arrived at each beauty spot before they were crowded) and as a result there were plenty of opportunities to admire stunning views from look outs in addition to the highlights mentioned above. Very welcome were the hot drinks, cakes and fruit that water served each morning, all included. There were also options for a helicopter flight and a zip line experience in the forest.
Overall we were very happy with our trip, which we would unhesitatingly recommend.
