Great 3 day road trip with the fabulously entertaining & knowledgeable Janet AKA J-Dog as expert driver & guide.
Her expertise meant we usually arrived at landmarks at a different time to the masses of tourist buses and often had the views & spaces to ourselves wherever we stopped off. Loved the latter and less touristy part of the Great Ocean Road & koala spotting along the way.
Sadly a wildfire meant missing out on the Grampians but we were well informed by Autopia
in advance and had a great detour which included the stunning Blue Lake in Mount Gambia & swimming in blue water in a nearby sinkhole.
There were 16 of us on the bus
which was l perfect number for travelling camaraderie.

The tour with Janet was really great. I would recommend to start the tour in Adelaide. It is less crowded and you will have all the lookouts almost die you alone. Janet has such a good vibe. I really liked our small group.

Originally took this tour as it seemed like good value for getting to Adelaide from Melbourne while seeing the area.
Saw many animals including snakes, koalas, emus and echidnas. Really enjoyed the Grampians hike. Our tour guide Janet was very accommodating, and her friendly personality was infectious!
Would strongly recommend, either for getting to Adelaide from Melbourne. Or taking the Melbourne return option if you only have a few days and want to see some of the surrounding nature and animals.

Best tour ever, I had the most amazing time! Misty thank you so much for sharing your deep knowledge about your country and people. We just had it all: kangoroos, koalas, emus, echidna, snake, great ocean (road) views, storytelling, shared laughter and awes. The different landscapes and wildlife we encountered were stunning itself, but our most loveliest guide Misty added soul to the experience. It was simply magical.

One of my favourite Trips ever!!! We had the most amazing guide in Misty - she was fun, incredibly knowledgable about our destinations, wildlife and Native Australian people and history. Above all though she created beautiful group dynamics and made us become one big family sharing an awesome time. The Great Ocean Road itself is breathtaking, there is a lot of diversity in the things we got to see and do - I really loved the Grampians as well. The meals that were provided were very good (2Ă— breakfast, 1xdinner) and Accomodation was better than what I expected. All in all I would do ut again in a heartbeat.

A really good tour with plenty of highlights - amazing landscape, lots of wildlife and enjoyable but doable hikes. We were a small group and our guide Jordan was very relaxed, and great for pointing out cool spots and wildlife along the way. Would highly recommend!

This tour was amazing! The viewpoints we were taken to, along the Great Ocean Road and in the Grampians, were breathtaking. The information provided by our guide, Misty, was very interesting, especially her deep knowledge of the Aboriginal culture added an extra level of understanding. This tour gave me an insight I would not have got otherwise. Would highly recommend!

J-Dawg (Janet) was the best tourguide we could have asked for during our trip from Melbourne to Adelaide! She knew everything about Australian animals, about the country itself and made sure we saw as much as we could during these three days. We would love to have her again as a tourguide if we come back to Australia :)

It was a lovely tour from Adelaide to Melbourne. Janet did a great job. She was always in a good mood, friendly and responded well to the wishes and needs of the group. She transported us safely by bus and impressed us with her knowledge.
Thanks to her, I was able to experience the first koalas, kangaroos and emus up close in the wild.
As I learned, the route is possible in both directions - but I would always choose the Adelaide to Melbourne direction if possible. Thanks to the tour plan, for example, at the Great Ocean Road stops we were always against the flow of the day tours from Melbourne and therefore actually alone there.

The 3 day tour from Melbourne to Adelaide was amazing! We were very lucky to see a lot of wildlife and all the spots and viewpoints were very beautiful.
The accommodations in the shared room largely exceeded my expectations.
Misty - our guide - had always a big smile and has a great knowledge of the country, culture and wildlife. Thanks for sharing that all to us! :)

Hi there. What time does the tour end on day 3? And whats the additional cost for a private room?
Written 23 January 2020
We ended around 6 pm of Day 3. I didnt inquire on the additional cost of a private room as I find it more find to stick with the group. the backpackers Hotel was clean and decent and we even had time in the evening to have some socials, drink beer and get to know each other that by the end of the 3-day tour, it's as if we've known each other for a long time! :-)
