        Great guide, great value
We had a great day with Ben as our guide! Perfect tour to join for our small group of friends. The tour group wasn’t too big which meant the day felt really personalised and intimate as opposed to a massive group tour. The wineries we visited were great, everything was organised for us and tastings at each location happened seamlessly. Ben was fantastic keeping us up to date on the plans for the day, offering to take photos and making us feel comfortable and happy. Would recommend as a great value for money tour!

A great Saturday in the Yarra Valley
This was a great way to spend a Saturday in June. Our guide, Ben was brilliant and his sense of humour and knowledge along the way provided much entertainment. Ben also ensured that we didn't feel rushed at any point, making sure we had enough time to take in the wines and food at each if the locations visited. Highly recommended!

        Great Wine Tasting Venues
The Wine Tasting venues were very good and very professional. Unfortunately, the bus driver refused to wear a mask on the bus and did not properly check each passenger’s vaccination status. Given the current outbreak it was highly upsetting and definitely spoiled what was otherwise a great day.

Fantastic day in the Yarra Valley!
Cannot rate this tour highly enough! Christian our guide was informative and kind from the beginning and gave us an informative introduction to the region and clearly had a good rapport with the the staff at each of the places we visited which was a nice touch and did not go unnoticed. Thank you for an unforgettable day out!

        An enjoyable day
We did enjoy our wine tour with Yarra Valley Wine Tasing Tours. The online booking process was easy. We were picked up on time and personally welcomed by name. The tour was well paced. We were given a private tasting at each venue and learned quite a bit about the different style of wines. Never at any stage did we feel rushed. We loved the Chandon winery and the lunch and tasting at Rochford wines was lovely. Of course the visits to the Cheese shop and Chocolaterie just added the extra touch. Thanks Christian

Fantastic Day Out In the Yarra Valley
This trip was one of the best wine tours I have been on. Our wonderful host was Petra and she absolutely nailed it. We visited 4 wineries and a chocolate factory which included a top notch lunch at Rochford Wines. All of the tastings were informative and unique. It was a fun trip and we have great memories of the day. Thankyou Petra.

Surprised that this tour group received high reviews. We were very underwhelmed! This does not compare to the wine tasting tours we had in Italy and France or New Zealand.

Our driver was Robert who was not informative and did not explain much along the journey. He dropped us at 3 wineries and the last stop was a pushy chocolate shop. Given the price of this tour they should include a coupon to redeem for an ice cream cone at the last stop. But nope—this tour charges a lot and delivers very little. Each winery posts on the wall how much they charge for the tasting. It would have been cheaper and better paced if we had taken Melbourne public transportation to the first winery and then used Uber to go to the other wineries of our choosing.

The only shiny star on the dull tour was Steel Gates winery. The owner told us his story of how he became a wine maker. He was passionate about his land, grape planting, natural production processes, and wine! We enjoyed the taste of incredible cheeses in the pairings.

The chocolate stop was ridiculous. It felt like Disney, pushing overpriced poor quality chocolate. The bus driver made a big deal about the free samples which was nothing but a bowl of chocolate chips that tons of people dip into. Gross!

The wine tasting was not a complete experience. Most wine tours in Europe take you on a walk through the facility pointing out the production process and telling stories about makes the winery special. In a good wine tasting tour they review the properties of each wine, teach you how to swirl and examine the “legs” and describe each year/grape etc. This tour was more like a sterile hop on/hop off bus tour.

We were picked up from the agreed place at the appointed time. Our guide was professional and knew a lot about Yarra Valley wineries and activities. The whole tour was organized just fine. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in wine and to those who are not so interested. The tour is really worth the money. Thank you.

We were picked up at the collection point by a bus that carries 18 people. It was not at all comfortable, as we are both over 5'10. During the hour drive to Yarra, there was no commentary at all, just the local radio station. In fact, there was very little commentary during any segment of the tour. The wineries they selected were liked by only a few people, as evidenced by the lack of purchasing. Chandon was interesting to see, but the other three were mediocre. We have been on wine tasting tours all over Australia, and in many other countries, and was distressed by this one. Not even any water available for us!
I would suggest trying another company.

Hello flybynight, We are disappointed to receive your negative review and have since invetigated the details in your review with our guide and others. The vehicle you travelled on was a 2 year old Mercedes Benz - we are very surprised that you thought it was uncomfortable as we have spent a considerable amount upgrading our fleet. Our guide confirms there was definitely commentary during the tour and before each venue, the radio is on between segments of the tour but certainly not all day! At one point, she was even interrupted during her explanation and asked to turn the radio up! Our guide did mention that a group of 4 were late to the tour, and then at each stop thereafter, and were complaining throughout the day, and wanting to hold up the rest of the people on tour for a cigarette. Their arrogance and disregard for the rest of the group and the schedule was noted and commented on by a number of passengers. A few of these who complimented our guide on her handling of the situation. It is interesting that you have complained about just about every aspect of this tour, but that this situation was not mentioned in the review, and this makes us suspicious that this complaint is in fact by one of the group of 4. Regarding the itinerary and purchases, there were wine purchases made at Chandon, and St Huberts. There were wine purchases over lunch at Rochford. We don't supply water on the buses as this is readily available at each and every stop we visit. Not very environmental to have thousands of plastic bottles purchased when not necessary! We hope you have a better tour next time. A disappointed YVWTT.

Professional and efficient service. A great way to spend time with a group of friends, with family or as a couple. The wineries visited were impressive and our guide ensured we weren’t rushed throughout what was a relaxing day.

We especially loved Kelly at Coombe winery. She was fun, informative and engaging. She really lightened the mood and it helped us relax with the rest of the group.
The wines offered were a good range. The lunch at Rochford was excellent, but the wine tasting seemed rushed and the room was too noisy. We had been looking forward to the Chocolaterie at the end, but was horrified to discover that it functioned as a type of kiddies hangout . . was crowded and noisy. The atmosphere did not match the rest of the tour, unfortunately. Overall though it was a great day out with convenient, timely pick up and return.

Our guide was lacklustre. He hardly talked and let one of the passengers control the microphone who talked instead. We always enjoy wine tours where the guide shares their local knowledge and this was such a disappointment. He had little personality or enthusiasm. Food was very late in the day (1.30pm) and the serving sizes were too small, we all ordered more food. Wineries could have spoken more about themselves so we could learn about their history and their stories. Overall this was one of the worst wine tours we have done. I would not recommend them.

Positives- our tour guide Ben was so lovely and friendly. Knew a lot about the area and was open to answer questions. He was a good photographer too!

The winery’s were really picturesque. The Yering station winery was the highlight and the person who guided us to taste was very knowledgeable.

Negatives- My group and I were running about 5 minutes late, and we had called the tour number to let them know. The man I spoke to (didn’t catch his name) was very rude and sarcastic. Basically told us we need to hurry up or else the van would miss us. Another lady called a few minutes later advising us that we could meet at another pick up point, which was was much more helpful than the person we spoke to, who was quite unprofessional.

Minus the hiccup in the morning, the tour was really lovely!

Tour was a good day out - pick up was right on time and tour guide Alex was friendly and informative. Hosts at wineries were passionate about their wineries/wines. Felt chocolate factory was unnecessary - so wouldn’t bother with that option again.

We did a fabulous full day Yarra Valley winery tour with this company. Very comfortable bus (with a few seats offering extra leg room for tall people), tastings at three lovely wineries and a beautiful lunch with a complimentary glass of wine. Also, a visit to the chocolate factory. We opted to pay an extra $15 pp for the gin tasting which was a nice little addition. Our tour guide Anthony was very knowledgeable and friendly and we really couldn’t find anything that could have been done better on this tour. Have recommended it to friends already. Cheers!

We had an absolutely amazing day out and felt the wine tasting experience was very comprehensive and knowledgeable. We were lucky enough to go midweek and enjoy the cheese tasting in between the wine tastings and a beautiful lunch. The cheeses are absolutely delicious and ended up purchasing 4! Definitely an amazing time & highly recommend to anyone thinking of doing this tour. Well worth the $$, and good value.
