      City centre kayaking
One of my best trips ever. Small group, Adam a very good and informative guide. For just under 2 hours we kayaked the Yarra Rover through Central Melbourne to the dock lands, and back again. All the time with interesting facts from Adam about the city and buildings around us. Amazing to view the city from the water. Great value tour, highly recommended

      Cool times on the Yarra
I booked last minute, having a few times walked past the tour group as they were starting. It’s super easy to do, they have somewhere to leave things if you have a bag or jacket etc that you need to leave. Greg was super cool and relaxed and had a great attitude to the group - I found that I learned a fair bit about the area’s history as we paddled along. Would recommend and I’m also thinking of going back again if I have time, to other evening or sunset tour

      Great time!
Wonderful tour and kayaking experience. Definitely a must try for those who’s never tried kayaking before or even those who have already! Our guide Mitch was excellent! Very friendly, accommodating and helpful! He also did a vert interesting history tour about the water ways in Melbourne. We’ll be back for their moonlight tour next!

      Something to do in Melbourne
Though it gave our family something active to do while in downtown Melbourne, we didn't love our experience. It took more than 30 minutes to get on the water, we kayaked a very short distance but took an hour to do so, the guide didn't have that much information to offer about the sights, and the water was not very appealing to be in (brown b/c of the clay, and there was garbage in it too). I think an evening tour might be better as far as sights go (and harder to see the garbage).

      Fun
Started with a briefing and lesson on kayaking before the actual kayaking itself. Guide is knowledgeable and explained some history of the city too. Overall fun and well worth the money.

My husband and I joined a Saturday evening Sunset Kayak tour led by Matt & Thomas. We were well briefed before setting off for a quick circuit of the marina and a fish & chips dinner. Then it was off under the Bolte Bridge and into the Yarra. This is a great time of day to enjoy the scenery and lights of Melbourne with a friendly commentary along the way.

Matt and Kent were fun and knowledgeable guides. The tour only requires basic fitness (but kayaking is no good for bad backs) and it was a pleasant excursion. The fish and chips from Docklands was really good, sitting there in our kayaks. The final destination is a short walk from Flinders St, so it was easy getting home by public transport. We are locals and had a great time, I can highly recommend this to locals and tourists alike.

We had an enjoyable evening kayaking, it was great to watch the city as the sun set and the lights came on. The guides were helpful and knowledgeable. Even as beginner kayakers, we felt comfortable on the water. Dinner of Fish & Chips was delicious and fun to eat it whilst in the kayaks.
Do bring a towel or change of clothes as you can get quite wet.

This was a fun, unique way to see Melbourne from the river. The kayak was easy to operate, though of course required some effort to paddle. A solid workout! The fish and chips dinner was pretty simple (my husband said it was like a kids meal) and we ate right in our kayaks towards the start of the experience. With two guides in our group, we felt cared for though it did also feel like we were being herded around a bit. Our lead guide pointed out landmarks and talked about the city's history as we went which was insightful.

One surprise was that we ended the tour in a different place than we started. It wasn't a big problem for us - we hadn't driven to the starting point - but I feel like that should be more clearly stated when registering.

Four assorted family members joined the kayak tour one evening in early Jan. The weather was beautiful, and the two guides were helpful and approachable. The fish and chip shop was busy, so we had to wait a little to get our dinner, but that was the only down side. It was incredibly peaceful and relaxing paddling up the Yarra. Not strenuous at all like I was worried about. Even the surly teenager had a good few smiles. Two person deal kayaks made the trip easy and stable. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Just about anyone can do this paddle, and it's absolutely worth it! The boats are broad and stable, so you'll have no worries about getting in or out, and you're not going swimming. It's a fun, beautiful way to see the city, paddling under the Bolte Bridge and past the Crown fireball show. The guides have been doing this long enough to have lots of fun anecdotes and local info. Ours, Matt and James, were lovely. Can't recommend highly enough.

A kayak trip along the Yarra river is an excellent way of seeing the sites of the Melbourne waterside from a different perspective. The evening trip meant we saw the city lit up in a way not many visitors get to experience and the dinner aboard was a unique, fun and surprisingly tasty opportunity to take a rest from the exertions of paddling. I would thoroughly recommend this activity if you are ever visitng the wonderful city of Melbourne.

Fabulous magical excursion around Melbourne after dark! Don't miss it! The whole trip was a blast! We were well looked after with wind and rain proofing so that even though there was some drizzle it did not affect our enjoyment. It was lovely to meet a whole bunch of different people taking the same adventure tour. The lights were amazing!

Absolutely fabulous evening kayaking with a dinner stop (fish and chips and other options) on the Yarra River. We took part as a family of 6 ( adults of varying ages) and Aiden was a brilliant tour guide. Highly recommend this trip
