About the operator
- Adventurer75404800Great cycling holidayWell organised itinerary, most accomodation was great, all breakfast venues fantastic, tour operators were very obliging!!
- PAUANDCA00Fantastic ride. Fantastic Support.A terrific 2 day ride on packed gravel. Not difficult at all. Left Leongatha. Stayed overnight way Fish Creek. Were transferred back to Leongatha from Port Welshpool by Australian Cycling Holidays. Overall a wonderful experience.
- 10chook00Cycling Break in AustraliaWe enjoyed our cycling break on the coast near Melbourne. It was easy to catch the bus from the Central Station and get to the starting point.Very manageable cycle days on old rail trails. We were well looked after by our helpful hosts.
- H3654UGterry006 Day Coastal Escape AustraliaVery good Tour, excellent accommodation, great scenery and stop off points. Operator kept us well informed of our daily route with maps and instructions. Luggage was transferred and was always at our next accommodation before our arrival.
- LoveTravel31594500Waterfall-Jervis Bay (Coastal Escape)The accommodation was great -organisation and directions great- The second day travelling alongside a freeway after Lake Illawarra was not a high point but the lunch venue made up for it. The rest day had us put on weight-a great pub at the top of the hill. Jervis Bay was a fitting destination for the end of our ride-Thanks
- Amanda S00Fabulous FunWe had a beautiful cycling holiday in July. It was cool and windy but very spectacular. We cycled with 4 teenagers and it was the perfect trip, exercise during the day and tired at night. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. Can't wait to do another trip.
- kathywanakanz00NZ groupWe were a group of 13 from New Zealand. Australian Cycling Holidays organised 2 different rides for us. The first was a couple of hours North of Melbourne for 5 days and the second South of Melbourne, over 7 days. Really good bike tracks suitable for any age group. The rides were interesting with lots to see and do. Angela and Robb were very organised and always available on the end of the phone if anything went wrong. Ii was a fun couple of weeks.
- amather201500Fantastic time in South Gippsland on bikesWe had a fantastic time on our bike ride. We were very well looked after and accommodation was thoughtfully arranged with our 2 families' needs in mind. I would highly recommend this tour to families to get out and enjoy the beautiful Victorian countryside
- Seaside1739353164600Fantastic Cycling TourAngela & Rob organized our multi-day Bairnsdale to Leongatha Tour superbly. Even when the bushfires threatened in some of the areas we were to ride through and the weather changed unexpectedly, they made sure we were well looked after & supported. Thank you for providing all of us with the wonderful trip notes & backup to make our cycling tour so fantastic & memorable. It showcased some really beautiful parts of Victoria.
- Voyage17638978369009 Day Cycle Tour from Bairnsdale to LeongathaComing from the US to cycle in Australia, we did not know at all what to expect. In all categories, expectations were far exceeded. The husband-wife team exceeded with meeting any/all needs including particular bike fitting needs, assist with adjusting routes for increased interest/distance, availability for rescue in inclement weather, and general availability and good cheer throughout the trip. Group size was perfect: 5 total, our 3 new comrades being delightful in every way. Lodging was always a wonderful surprise at the end of the day, with the ocean-side accommodation being unforgettable in its glory. Biking every day was the purpose of the vacation and the combination of bike trails, back roads, un-sealed roads was variable and satisfying; generally roads boasted low traffic issues. The Trek bikes were high quality and a pleasure to ride. The entire experience was fabulous and the Australian Cycling Holidays Team was exceptional. This was a highly recommended trip.
- Cate C00Incredible service, great experience, beautiful tripAngela and Rob were fantastic guides to helping me plan a solo trip, supporting me throughout it, and being excellent hosts for a night in Leongatha. The bike and other equipment were in great shape, the app was super helpful, and Angela was a wonderful person to hang out with a bit. Thank you so much for a much-needed sojourn through Gippsland!
- Voyage6295973929100Just amazingThat was harder than expected... but just wonderfull place, peoples... and places... we sae some many wildlife... Thanks to Angela for his help.
- Laurah9950700Cowes to Port Welshpool via railway trail and offshoots! We did a 4 day biking trip along the southern coast that began in Cowes. We ended our bike ride at the end of the long jetty in Port Welshpool. It was an incredible experience, full of local flavor and the real Australian culture and beauty. Both Angela and Robert were amazing caretakers-they hauled our gear, offered us alternative routes with the heat, provided excellent transportation, and the accommodations were also awesome. In addition, the trip notes were top notch. I’ve used companies that provide trip notes before and these have been the best I’ve ever seen. Also, sometimes when you do bike holidays, people don’t seem to have bike knowledge or because we are choosing to do a self-paced holiday without a group, they think that we don’t have expectations for the bike gear. I could tell that this was not the case with their gear from the first minute that they set us up. The bikes were of quality and in good shape which is what bike lovers want because we love our bike gear, and want to spend the time on a solid bike that is in good shape. I don’t have all of our photos from the jaw dropping scenery organized yet, but here are a few to show off the bikes.
- Scenic1719830722400Fantastic TripWe did the Melbourne Breakout and loved every minute. The scenery was varied and beautiful, and a range of riding conditions added more variety and interest. Our bicycles were well maintained and perfectly suited to our needs.Robert and Angela were wonderful - friendly, organised, generous and knowledgeable. We couldn't have asked for a better holiday any have no hesitation recommending Australian Cycling Holidays to anyone considering this sort of trip.
- Jennifer H00Wow, wow, wow, what a n outstanding experience.... a must do.What an experience, right from start with a pleasant coach ride through the Gippsland countryside to the first stop at Leongatha where we were fitted out for our ride and provided with first class bed and breaky. Then up bright and early to start the Graet Southern Rail trail. Truly, the scenery and little townships along the way, made for a ride to remember. The owners of this company were so extremely well organised and all you needed to do was peddle and enjoy the experience.Thank you to Angela and Rob for providing a one in a lifetime experience.

We did a seven night bike ride that started at Cowes on Phillip Island and ended at Port Welshpool, then followed by a day trip to Wilson’s Promontory and another morning at Tarra Bulga National Park.
ACH picked us up from Melbourne Airport and from that point, to bring dropped off back at the airport, we were completely looked after snd made to feel relaxed and comfortable. ACH arranged great accommodation and breakfasts. The bikes were well maintained and easy to ride. The back up service was tested when we had a minor collision with a random teenager on a bike and a puncture. ACH really looked after us.
The maps were accurate and the directions easy to follow.
The cycle route was completely on dedicated cycle paths. The country side was spectacular and varied between Sandy beaches, windswept cliffs with spectacular ocean views, tall forests, dairy farms, and scrub. No steep hills. Well maintained cycle paths.
ACH was very flexible and adapted the usual itinerary to allow us more time for sightseeing and a more relaxed trip.
It was so good to cycle each morning, relax in the afternoon, and enjoy wonderful dinners in the many restaurants serving local fresh produce.
I thoroughly recommend ACH.

We (two of us both over 70) cycled on the Grand Gippsland Cycling Tour (700kms). Angela and Rob were excellent support. Our bikes were adjusted to suit our very different needs. I found the CycleWayz App brilliant (you can use it offline in Aeroplane mode). I could pinpoint exactly where we were and my IPad fitted neatly in the top of the front pannier that was supplied. Our accommodation was varied (from mountain guesthouse to clifftop cabin) and there always a good shower and bed. We are not “Lycra lads” but the route was well planned (quiet roads and rail trails) so we could enjoy the 30-50 kms each day. My partner did not always want do the full distance but this was no issue. We both enjoyed our trip and will certainly use Australian Cycling Holidays again.

Emma helped us set up a custom cycling trip (based on one of her tours) that turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. She was so helpful and watched over us throughout the trip. We could not have asked for a better time. If you want to slow down and see some great areas outside of Sydney, we recommend you contact Australian Cycling Holidays.

Our family really enjoyed our cycling holiday for these reasons:
1. Angela is a fantastic host - passionate, amusing and caring.
2. The Leongatha house was really great.
3. The bikes were well chosen for us, and very well maintained.
4. The route choices worked really well for our family - 2 chilled on the rail trail while 2 took the hilly challenging routes.
We'll hopefully do this again, and ride further next time.

Very scenic ride.
Pass a lot of small towns on the way from Leongatha to Welshpool.
One of the safest trail you can be on.

Angela and Rob were great tour operators. Prior to the cycle Angela worked with us to find the cycle that would work best with our needs as a family travelling with young children. The accommodation always had plenty of space for all us and was away from busy roads. The directions were clear, easy to understand and Angela was always easy to reach for help. This trip was a enjoyable for our whole family and we would love to return one day to explore another region. Thanks Angela and Rob

I absolutely loved doing this trip for so many reasons.
Lovely and communicative hosts who are very easy to talk to
Beautiful accommodation - luxury linen and towels which was a dream after cycling for hours.
Great showers too!!
Little thoughtful touches which made the trip that much more relaxing and sweet
GORGEOUS rail trail with hardly any people!! Great variance in scenery and interesting stops along the way
I really felt that the company went above and beyond to ensure I had a fantastic trip.

My partner Laura and I were very fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet robert and Angela with Australian Cycling Holidays. There is not enough room here to truly describe just how memorable, every bit of it, in truly the most fantastic ways. All the maps were easy to read and follow, the customer service and friendliness of Robert and Angela was second to one. I misplaced my speakers and they went out of their way to check the hotels and local police departments for me! That is just an example of how wonderful the hosts are. The various nuances of the bike tour will forever be looked upon very favorably. If you are planning a trip to Australia or if you already live there, I urge to seriously get ahold of Robert and Angela and you will then know what I mean. The equipment is extremely well maintained and a joy to use, state of the art bikes, handy and easy to use panniers, water bottles and snacks, etc. Just get on the bikes and prepare to be impressed with the country side, the wildlife, the breathtaking views and not to mention the incredible Australian people who want nothing more to talk to you and wish you well mate! We spent nearly a month in Australia and are back in Alaska now, but our 5 days biking and spending time with Robert and Angela will always be cherished and never forgotten. A definite highlight of our time down under. Please look book an adventure with Australian Cycling Holidays. I promise you, you will be very glad you did! Brett and Laura

My partner and I completed the Great Southern Rail Trail over 2 days. The GSRT is approximately 80 ks. The trail itself is wonderfully maintained, well signposted, not particularly difficult and passes through a number of small towns. Australian Cycling Holidays provided us with excellent accommodation at the starting point of Leongatha and also at the mid point at Fish Creek. Both places were immaculate and particularly well locàted. At Fish Creek we had a terrific meal at the pub (make sure you book). At the end of the ride (Port Welshpool) we were picked up by Australian Cycling Holidays and transported back to Leongatha. Thank you Angela and Rob of ACH for making the logistics of this ride effortless, for your overall efficiency, for your suggestions ( The nearby and short Mirboo North rail trail was an unexpected bonus) and for your pleasantness. Highly recommended. P and C.
