Fun day with a great host
100% recommend this tour. The wineries and wines were sublime and Sean was the best host - he was kind, accommodating and knowledgeable with just enough crazy to make sure this was a tour to remember! If you’re in Melbourne make sure you take a day out to join Sean on his memorable tour to the Yarra Valley.

Fabulous trip, I would definitely recommend this it's worth the money. Great tour guide Sean who made everyone feel welcome and entertained us on the journey. The place we stopped for lunch was so nice pizza and salad and a few bottles of wine included with live music playing just perfect.

Epic Mate wine tour is just that… EPIC!
4 of us went on the epic mate wine tour with Sean. His energy was contagious and his knowledge of the area and wine was amazing! He looked after us all and made sure everyone had a great experience. The tour was amazing, with 3 different wineries who all treated us so well and the wines were epic. The chocolate factory was a nice little treat and we ended at four pillars gin distillery which was a lovely end to the day. Would recommend this tour for an awesome day out from melbourne for wine lovers

Wonderful Tasting experience with Dancing Kangaroo
Sean is an awesome tour operator with a sense of humor. The tour has a good mix of people so you get very good vibes out of it. The wineries that Sean brought us to were carefully selected and the tasting with lunch at Soumah was sensational. Overall, I had a very good day with Dancing Kangaroo Tours and I would recommend anyone visiting Melbourne joining this tour.

    Yarra Valley wine tasting
We had a lovely wine tasting tour and beer testing with our guide Shaun around Yarra Valley. Day was filled with awesome wine yards with many different wines to taste at Yering Station, Soumah and final winery was Helen and Joe. Shaun was very informative and good sense of humour 🙂 We enjoyed very much these visits and made also some purchases. Lunch was organised in Soumah and it gave lovely chance to chat with our guide and people in our group. Day passed very quickly and definitely recommend to visit Yarra Valley with Dancing Kangaroo Tour. Epic mate!!

    New restaurant was OK
Trip overall was great. Very enjoyable. Lovely wineries! Would have preferred the usual restaurant based on the menu but that restaurant was closed during our trip.

OK - little bit of everything
Preface this review by noting that it was pouring rain on the way to the wineries. Bus was small and generally dated but fine for the day. Danny was the tour guide and driver. There was very little information provided as the focus was appropriately on driving and navigating the very wet roads. Danny was friendly enough, but no stories or tidbits beyond a quick intro/overview on arrival at the various spots. Felt less like a guided tour and more like a chauffeur with light commentary. Again, this may be different in nice weather. Never felt rushed, so there was time to explore if desired. Itinerary was changed from expected - the second winery/lunch location was replaced without explanation. While last-minute things come up, providing information up-front goes a long way in managing expectations (this stop/lunch was one of the key reasons for booking this tour). The lunch was fine but not as billed/expected. Wineries were good - favourite of those visited was Helen & Joey. Coldstream Brewery was delicious and the chocolaterie was fun! Overall, the best parts of this tour were the brewery & chocolaterie. If you are looking for a great wine tour, you may do best elsewhere.

We had a great day on this day tour with Sean as our guide. He made the day extremely fun, with lots of laughs and jokes! The 3 wineries were all fantastic, the spot for lunch was beautiful and the beer/cider paddles were a great end to the day. Highly recommend this family run business!

Such an incredible day exploring the amazing Yarra Valley region!

My family and I had such a spectacular time getting to explore the region, tasting some incredible wines and food and finishing off the day with some tasty chocolate and splendid gin!

Experience was incredible and we took so many amazing photos, the views and locations were spectacular!!!

The experience would not be complete without an amazing host! Shaun was very entertaining and witty, kept us laughing the whole trip and made it so memorable!

Would definitely do it again when we come visit Melbourne again!

WOW!!!
Definitely put this in your Melbourne to do list!
You are taken to 3 different fabulous wineries that all are mind blowing!!
One also includes lunch which makes your mouth water.
Ending the day with a visit to the chocolate factory is like Willy wonka chocolate factory (big and so much chocolate) and a visit to Four Pillars Distillery.
You will need to bring a few bottles of water in between all the drinks

This was a day well spent. The pickup spot was in a walking distance from our hotel and was easy to find using the directions received by email. Sean our driver/guide set the scene from from first contact with his good humour and lively spirit, this was going to be an epic tour. We visited three vineries, one brewery and a chocolate factory. All the vineries were excellent and everywhere we got welcomed by very friendly staff. Our lunch, a choice between 4 mains, was really good and actually much better than I expected for a "group" meal. Sean got everyone to feel at ease and the atmosphere was very relaxed and to end the tour visiting an chocolate and ice cream shop cant go wrong. If you have a day to spend in Melbourne this tour is a must, you will not regret it.

Epic, mate !
