- RodBush0 contributionsStreet Art Tour - great experience. We went on the street at tour and had a really good time. The guide been was friendly accommodating and informative. We saw some parts of Melbourne that we never seen before following that we were back to the studio and saw how they work as a cooperative group - inspirational for anybody who is an artist. Thoroughly recommend!Written 22 August 2024
- V9903MQkarend0 contributionsEveryone must do this tourWhat an amazing tour, loved hearing about how graffiti has a language and walking the hidden laneways of Melbourne. To top it off we got to see the studio where a range of artists worked. Thank you Ben Barek, an amazing artist himself, who was out guide.Written 21 August 2024
- margarettar0 contributionsYou’ll look at Street Art differentlyOur guide Ben provided an education on Street Art techniques, a framework for understanding Street Art culture, and artistic insight. The pieces he introduced to us ranged from large murals to small installations on window ledges. So many treasures I know I would have otherwise overlooked! Our tour ended at Blender Studios where we were warmly and graciously welcomed and treated to both a tour of the studios and yummy drinks and snacks. The entire afternoon was enlightening and inspiring.Written 20 January 2024
- freekboy0 contributionsAwesome experience! Must do when in MelbourneAwesome experience. Large part walking tour, small part tour of studio, this experience ranks as a must do while in Melbourne. Our host, Ben, was fantastic and all aspects were 100% I especially enjoyed the end where we were offered free drinks (nice perk) and a tour of the faculty and exchange with artists.Written 30 December 2023

- sophiebD6093BI0 contributionsLoved the tour!We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Caesar. He showed us some great spots with amazing artwork. It’s so interesting to see how frequently the art can change. We finished the tour with a look around the studio which was very interesting. We were given complementary drinks and snacks at the studio.Written 18 October 2023
- lud20060 contributionsAmazing!! Street ArtAkemi our guide is a true 20+ year street artist. He knows his art and the history of what's on the walls of lanes in Melbourne. We had a group of about 10 that just loved the tour of the street art plus visiting the studios where many artists work. I met a fellow traveler on another tour that said this was a don't miss opportunity. She was right.Written 30 May 2023
- LiddyJay0 contributionsBrilliant program for school holiday artThis review is for the School holiday program -which included some background on street art and a live street art workshop for kids age 10+ Our primary aged kids did this tour with a group of friends and loved it. They learnt about Melbourne street art history and did a sketch and street painting workshop in the Blender laneway at their studio surrounded by art. The team were incredibly organised, friendly and did a great job instructing the kids. I would highly recommend it for a unique experience for kids that are into sketching, drawing, graphics and art.Written 23 April 2023
- LightPacker5178670 contributionsKids Holiday Workshop - Freehand Street ArtMy 2 boys did the Kids Holiday Workshop - Freehand Street Art with Blender Studio and they absolutely loved it. The whole 2 hours was informative, interactive and totally creative. The guys gave heaps of tips and assistance to the kids and guided them through the graffiti learning process. We even got to pay the $10 and take the artwork home. Totally worth every cent and a great day out.Written 18 April 2023
- coreygF3514FW0 contributionsSpray Can Art CourseI signed up for the spray can art course. I found it to be informative and inspirational. The best part was the practical. Kasper was a great teacher and I enjoyed learning some of the basic techniques and seeing some of his skills at work. The two hours went quickly and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. I would love to sign up for a follow up course where we could learn even more techniques and do more practical work. I would recommend this class to anyone.Written 5 March 2023
- drdaveonline0 contributionsGreat Class!!!My son and I went together. It was such fun and so informative. We did the free hand spray painting. We've learnt enough in the 2 hour class that we can now take home and continue the art. Kasper was a great teacher.Written 3 March 2023
- deborahhL4667KU0 contributionsVery disappointingMy kids did a spray paint stencil art workshop and had a terrible time, the organisers were very authoritarian and constantly told the kids to stop talking to each other. Told them to ask if they needed help but when they did, they were gaslit and told they could do it by themselves. They were told to do their names instead of the artwork they wanted to do as it would be easier. The dietary requirements were asked beforehand but then when snacks were offered the kids asked if they were able to eat it and the teachers said they were too busy to check so they just had to miss out on the snacks. These holiday workshops should be fun, engaging, social and respectful. They think that children should be treated badly to do well. Would definitely not recommend. The bare minimum is to treat everyone with respect, children are worthy of respect and if I have to ask for that then that's not okay....Written 24 January 2023
- pennylX126QS0 contributionsInspirational, interesting & colourfulI loved this tour, Matt was very passionate & informative, willing to listen & answer questions The walk was a great pace, we were given plenty of time to photograph the artwork & it was encouraged. The Blender Studios were so welcoming as were the artists I would highly recommend this tour.Written 16 August 2022
- mareeb5510 contributionsMemorable and inspiring spray painting workshopMy kids absolutely LOVED the school holiday spray painting class! What a memorable morning. As a primary school teacher I was blown away with how the artists spoke to and interacted with the kids and put so much effort into ensuring the kids produced a piece that they loved. Worth every penny! My 12 yo son is so hard to impress with activities these days, and this workshop has really ignited his passion for art again. Thanks for the inspiration all guys and gals at Blender Studios.Written 14 July 2022
- 295georgiag0 contributionsFun, Hands-on Adult Freehand Beginner Workshop at the inspiring Blender Studios.Cheers to @kaspersart, Doyle and Pia at Blender Studios/Melbourne Street Tours. I am an absolute newbie and this freehand workshop was pitched in a way that made me feel at ease to step out of my comfort zone and try something new. Kasper shared his knowledge and insight of years of experience as a street artist along with handy tips to make the most of this hands-on workshop. Getting stuck in to practice before sketching and planning a piece was great, as was the morning tea ;-) Blender is a really inspiring space and we were made welcome to wander the studio and check out the show in the front gallery. I was proud to come away with my first ever painting and highly recommend checking out what Melbourne Street Tours and Blender Studios has on offer.Written 5 July 2022

My friend and I went on this tour, and we loved it. Our incredibly enthusiastic tour guide is a professional street artist himself and explained the transition of many young artists from tagging into working professional street artists as they mature and refine their artistic skills. We even got to see a Banksy! The drinks and snacks were greatly appreciated, and we got to see one of the last working artists spaces in the city at Blender Studios. Highly recommend this tour if you want to see the gritty reality of working as a street artist these days and where you can find the art works around the city progressing from tagging to full scale exceptional artwork on display, commissioned by the city.
(My only issue is a link re the meeting place: it takes you to a different Flinders Street 25 mins out of town by car! ) Needs to be ammended.

Tom was a fantastic tour guide- he was friendly and was able to connect with each of the 12 participants. His knowledge, anecdotes and response to questions endured that the participants were able to remain engaged
The painting of the stencil with spray paint by members of the group was a very good way to demonstrate how street art was constructed.
The studio visit was informative and impressive (and the refreshments were very welcome)

Loved this tour. Great activity to do with teens. Learnt heaps about the street art culture. Ben was our guide and he was awesome. Wear your walking shoes as you cover some ground. Loved that we ended up on the tram going back to the artist studio. Awesome to see the work spaces of local artists and talk to them. Great hospitality- having drinks and food ready for us. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Melbs who is interested in street art.

We were excited to take this tour any and it exceeded our expectations. My 10 and 13 year old are artists and this has inspired them hugely. So much variety in artistic style, talent, history, culture, economics and politics. The art spoke to us in different ways. The tour guide was so informative, easy going and packed so much into this tour from learning about the art styles to creating our own stencil art on the street to then having a gallery tour and meeting other exceptional artists. I would undoubtedly recommend this tour. We were on the tour with a family with three small children and an older couple so age is no restriction. We were all raving about it at the end. My phone went flat by the end because of the number of photos I took. Thank you Melbourne Street Art Tour crew!! Loved it! Totally the highlight of our trip!

Excellent introduction to the life in the lanes of Melbourne. Our guide, Tom, an artist through and through, shared his passion, his phenomenal knowledge through rich, pertinent, lively and colourful information. The tour encompassed the incredible variety of works living on the walls of the lanes and beyond, from the smallest to the largest. The visit of Blender Studios at the end of the tour was thoroughly enjoyable
and allowed us to meet some of the artists working there, explore the studios and discover the works of the 22 residents, some absolutely exquisite. Truly worth doing!

Great street art tour. It opened my eyes to street art, the conversations street artists have with each other on the walls, the meaning behind some of it, and their culture. Well worth the time. Our tour guide, a street artist himself, was insightful and immersed in the scene for a few decades. Good tour for teenagers as well.

It was amazing and so informative! We were mesmerised! We also loved seeing his studio shared with many other artists and being treated to snacks and drinks. Highly recommend!!

As a street art fan and photographer already very familiar with Melbourne street art this tour was beyond my expectations. It was like having access to the inner sanctum as our artist guide Matt interpreted the works, backgrounded the artists, explained processes, talked street art politics and discussed the nature of art. We were treated to a prime selection of CBD street art, from tiny intricate stencil works to monumental murals. A tram ride blew away some of our international tourists. The tour finishes at home base at Blender Studios with warm hospitality and the opportunity to meet artists and see their work spaces. I can't recommend this tour highly enough.
