- bobbr4030 contributionsThe guide makes the differenceGot to see all the different Australian animals, some in the wild. Our tour guide Lucy was very knowledgeable and found all the right spots for the group. The penguin March is an amazing natural phenomenon.Written 2 December 2024
- erinoP3356UY0 contributionsA fun and enthusiastic tourMy guide Chris H was lovely, and he had so much energy the whole day! You could tell he was just as excited about the wildlife as the rest of the group even though he has given this tour many times! Highlights were definitely feeding the kangaroos and wallabies at Moonlit Sanctuaries and of course the Penguin Parade!Written 2 December 2024

- JCandCO0 contributionsCan’t get much cuter than those penguinsThe guides for the day were Jools and Aleks. First class from the minute I stepped on the bus. We saw some wonderful places including morning tea at the site of the Eureka Stockade, two waterfalls - Silverband and MacKenzie falls, nice lunch stop at Halls Gap. We also saw heaps of wildlife including wallabies, echidna and kangaroos. My daughter and I took this tour, leaving Melbourne approximately 11 am. We had a wonderful day. It is a long trip but our Tour guide Paul made frequent stops and kept us entertained with historical information, amusing stories and his engaging personality. We arrived at the 12 Apostles around 8:30 pm and had about an hour to enjoy the sunset and changing hues. It really was magnificent at this time of day. We Thoroughly recommend this tour.

Okay I've traveled quite a lot and used several different touring companies just in the past 5 years.
I've seen the Mayan temples of Mexico 'chichen itza tour', 'the grand canyon adventure' via Las Vegas Trips , the Statue of Liberty/Manhattan, New York double decker bus sight seeing package, the Hong Kong Street and ferry tour, the South Korea/Nami Island ferry and bus tour and the list goes on and on.
But I can honestly admit that I have never been so impressed with the experience I had with Go West Tours Ocean Road Sunset escapade of serene Southern Australia!
KATHERINE led us on our journey of the gorgeous coastal region of Australia starting from Melbourne and stopping at several beautiful locations along the coast.
We took a turn inland to enjoy the lush greenery of forest in the Land Down Under.
I captured so many fantastic pictures and created wonderful memories along the way.
I had the best holiday ever thanks to Katherine and Go West Tours! Thank you!

Yesterday I was at the tour to the 1w Apostels. We got to see it at sunset and it was great. Our guide Adrien was the nicest guy ever and it was a really fun experience with him. He told stories about the sceneries and you will never guess his home town. I can highly recommend going there since it's a absolutely beautiful place and especially with Adrien its get a real good adventure.

Full on day - lots to see with a lot of driving and short stops but if time is short then this is the best tour to do. Went through coastal towns with stop at Lorne for lunch, photographed koalas & birds, sunset at 12 Apostles was magnificent. Ricky was the best guide/driver - managed to keep a very diverse group happy all day. Would definitely recommend.

This is an excellent tour that includes a stop to see koalas in the wild as well as a walk through breathtaking temperate rainforest, in addition to the 12 Apostles and other amazing coastal features within close proximity of the apostles. Margaret was a memorable tour guide who exhibited, infectious enthusiasm for her country and the stunning scenery that can be witnessed along the Great Ocean Road. It's one thing to have a great itinerary, but when that is coupled with a high caliber guide like Margaret, it just makes for a very rewarding overall experience and one I will be sure to remember and recommend in the future.

We took a Sunset Tour on March 1, 2020 with Mike C. The trip was fantastic and we both enjoyed it very much. Mike was fun and full of relevant and interesting information. The 12 Apostles and Loch Ard gorge were beautiful even though the weather was cloudy with misting rain. We highly recommend Mike C. and the tour. David and Cecelia

This is a long, full day with many stops for stretching your leg (which you are grateful for). Beautiful scenery. We were able to find 3 wild koalas at Kennett River. The tour guide, Chris, was a wealth of information.
Definitely worth doing this trip. Bring layers as you will likely go from warm to chilly evening breeze (wind!) blowing in off the ocean. The sun set below a band of cloud and even without those reds, the trip is worth it.

What an unforgettable day trip! Our guide and driver Tom did an excellent job. He was informative, entertaining, unfazed by any unexpected circumstances and took good care of the group tirelessly throughout the trip. Sunset view of the 12 Apostles was amazing so this well-planned tour is worth staying up for even if your return after midnight in summer.

Full day tour along the GOR, beautiful sights and wildlife spotting (got to see several koalas). Daniel T was a very entertaining and interactive guide, made sure everyone was always comfortable. We did experience cold weather so had to buy sweaters on the way, so be sure to bring warm clothing on the side even if it’s hot in Melbourne.

The combination of stunning landscapes, iconic landmarks, tour guide Chris H and a picturesque sunset made it an awesome day!! for nature lover and photographer like me. Chris H was an amazing touring guide sharing insights along the drive, stopping for food, pictures and managing the large group really well. Overall, it was a memorable experience

We are arriving on a cruise at 8am. We would love to take your tour tomorrow. Will our arrival time work for this tour?
Written 7 January 2020
The sunset tour we took departed from Melboure 𝘊𝘉𝘋 at 11am , in front of Somerset hotel , and it returned close to midnight
So if you can arrange to get to the pick up point in 𝘊𝘉𝘋 of Melbourne before 11am from the cruise, then the Sunset Great Ocean road tour will work , not the other day tour which starts 6am
So make sure you search for “Sunset Great Ocean Rd Tour “ and the scenic is more beautiful at sunset as well as it’s quieter , less crowded

Or
Via “gowest”
Hope this help

What would pick up time from Little Collins Street Hotel be please on Sunday 20th October for 3 people?
Written 20 September 2019
Little Collins street hotel is usually around 9:15 but if you are there by 9am it’s safer. Get in touch with the tour agent to confirm, they are very helpful and will find a location that may be closer.

Hi, please advise pick up time for this tour and what time we return to Melbourne?
Written 6 July 2019
Pick up time depends on pick up location. I was staying at Flinders st & the nearest pick up location was Rendezvous Hotel. The van came before 8 am (Klook stated time for pick fr 7-750 am). And we return around 9-10pm at night. In between, they dropped us a place where we can have dinner before reaching town. If you are going to stay at Flinders st, quite a few food stalls open 24hrs there :) i also suggest you do check again the nearest pick up location & time before your trip. Hope this helps :)

hello! we are a couple and would like to have a tour in a van or small group. At what time do you start? is it a very long trip?
Written 19 March 2019
I believe they picked us up at 11 am (but check with them). With the many interesting stops along the way, it is 11-12 hours RT.

What’s the key difference of this tour versus Great Ocean Road Small-Group Eco Tour?
How long is this trip? What time we expect to return to Melbourne?
Written 30 January 2019
I don't know anything about the eco-tour - sorry.
We were picked up near our hotel at 9:30 AM and dropped off there just after midnight. You really can't plan anything else that day.

We will be staying at Quest in Williamstown. Is it possible to be picked up from there?
Written 2 January 2019
I don’t know the answer to this question but I would suggest 2 ways to perhaps get an answer: once you decide on a tour company, email the company and ask them if they could pick you up in Williamstown. Secondly, email your hotel and ask them what companies pick up their customers to take the Great Ocean Road Sunset Tour. It is a not-to-miss tour.
